Update on Syria from Hatay Province, Turkey
Earlier today Al Jazeera's Can Hasasu reported from southern Turkey's Hatay Province. He said Turkey had received reports of violence during peaceful protests in Syria. He said the Turkish government was concerned that the Syrian government would use the ceasefire to gain more time. He also said refugees he had spoken to in Turkey said that the Syrian army was increasing its forces on the border, and not letting civilians pass into Turkey.

Turks in Hatay Province Do Not Want FSA/Al Qaeda Terrorists in their Midst
Press TV reporter, Johnny Miller, files this report from Turkey's southern Hatay province (formerly a part of Syria) about how the Turkish citizens who reside there feel about "Free Syrian Army" (FSA) fighters and Al Qaeda Jihadis living in their midst, after being given refugee status by the Turkish government, while their affiliation to terrorist and Jihadist organizations are known. Many of these Jihadis that are causing trouble in Hatay are not even Syrian but rather come from all over the world, including North Africa, the Arabian peninsula, Chechnya, Europe, and South-Central Asia (Afghanistan, Pakistan). Many of those terrorists have openly told the Hatay people that once they are done with Syria, they will kill all the Alawis in Hatay next.

Yayladagi in Hatay Province
Yayladagi www.shanagrant.com Yayladağı is a town and district of Hatay Province in southern Turkey, on the border between Turkey and Syria, 51 km (32 mi) south of the city of Antakya. It was formerly known as Ordu-Muradiye. The district has a long history dating back to the Hittites. Islam was brought here by the Abbassid Arabs, and from 1075 onwards the Seljuk Turks. During the Crusades, the mountains were part of the principality of Antioch, then they returned to Turkish control, and in 1268 were brought into the Ottoman Empire by Sultan Selim I during his campaign into Egypt. http www.shanagrant.com

BREAKING NEWS: Turkey RETURN Fire after mortar from Syria landed in Turkey's HATAY province
BREAKING NEWS: Turkey RETURN Fire after mortar from Syria landed in Turkey's HATAY province Mortar shells landing in Turkey may be coming from weapons that Ankara itself provided to Syrian rebels fighting Bashar al Assad, according to a Turkish newspaper. This together with suggestions that Kurdish separatists are mobilising inside Syria, threatens to leave Turkey in an awkward diplomatic position. RT's Middle East correspondent Paula Slier has the latest. Turkey has returned fire after mortar from Syria landed in Turkey's Hatay province, Reuters reports. It's the sixth day of retaliation, as Syrian fighting continues to spill across the border. The round from Syria landed 150-200 meters within Turkey's border in the district of Hacipasa, according to a local official. The crisis between the two countries began on Wednesday, when Syrian mortar shells killed a woman and four children from the same family in Akcakale. The shells also wounded at least 13 people. The incident prompted artillery strikes from neighboring Turkey. Turkish soldiers were deployed along the border near Akcakale earlier on Monday. Some residents in the town have abandoned their homes and students have been asked to stay home. The recent exchanges of fire have stoked fears that Syria's conflict will escalate into regional instability. Turks condemn government's support for Syrian militants
Residents of the Hatay province in Southern Turkey are in a great dismay over their country's role in the Syrian crisis. They believe their Government is adding fuel to the fire between Syrian government forces and militants supported by the West and their allies in the region. Residents say they have seen an inflow of Libyans, Moroccans, and Tunisians to their country. They believe these foreigners are using Turkish soil as a transit to enter Syria and join other insurgents who are busy killing innocent Syrians. 'US, Saudis waging proxy war in Syria'
In developments on Syria: support for these militants on the ground known as the FSA continues to pour in: The US role became official: It was revealed that Obama had signed a secret order to provide support through the CIA. This on top of reports that XE services, a notorious private security firm formerly known Blackwater, was sending mercenaries from Iraq into Syria. This is while Turkey's role has become ever more prominent: Example: Turkey's Hatay province, on the Mediterranean coast, was reported to be in the hands of American and Israeli agents. Syrian Refugees Escape to Turkey
Dozens of Syrians were seen waiting by the Turkish border on June 15, escaping the brutal crackdown of President Bashar Al-Assad's security forces. Around 8500 Syrian refugees have been provided shelter camps on Turkey's border. Refugee camps have been made available in Turkey's Hatay province, across from the Syrian city of Jisr al-Shughour. Turkey is preparing to receive more refugees in the east along the 800 km Syrian-Turkish border. Syrian rights groups have said an estimated 1300 civilians have been killed, since the uprising began in March this year. By: Ikram AL Yacoub Al Arabiya with Agencies
