info on DVI cables
if you own a computer and want to get the most out of it or your using it for video editing or gaming, you may have bought a new graphics card and you may notice along side the blue VGA or d-sub socket (the one you plug your monitor into) there may be a longer white (sometimes yellow, black, and even gray) socket, it may be labeled DVI (digital video interface). most monitors are coming with this type of connection now and you may think great ill go out and buy a DVI cable and make use of that socket, but you know theirs loads of different types of DVI cable, and if you don't know you may buy the wrong one get home and find it doesn't fit, AHHH, NOW WHAT... This video will hopefully prevent this annoying but VERY common situation. This is a video showing you 5 different types of DVI cable what they do and more importantly how they are different. More info coming soon...

How to setup DVI to HDMI to play ps3 on your HDCP computer monitor.
I was looking for a guide about this when I was trying to set mine up and didn't find anything substantially helpful so I created this to try and help some people out. It's a pretty simple setup but some things just need a quick guide. *NOTE* This does not work on NON-HDCP monitors. I recommend this cable for best performance for the price: www.monoprice.com I also gave a quick walk through on how to configure your audio setup. I used a phono to female 1/8th inch adapter to connect the ps3 AV-Multi adapter to my pc speakers. Let me know if you have any questions about this setup. Cables: www.newegg.com Adapter: www.newegg.com Sound items needed: 1.) Y - Phono to 1/8 : www.radioshack.com 2.)1/8 coupler: www.radioshack.com 3.)Speakers - www.newegg.com 4.)Set your audio output on your ps3 to AVI/MULTI audio out. Enjoy.

Xbox 360 VGA or HDMI/DVI on PC 22" Monitor
Just a quick video of me hooking my Xbox 360 with both VGA and HDMI/DVI to my LG Flatron EW224 full HD PC monitor. Bottom line, this was just to see for myself any differences that may occur. Seems pretty much exactly the same to me. So, basically, if you have one or the other on your monitor, you're not missing out on anything.

HDMI Technology - Yesterdays DVI and Tomorrows HDMI 1.4
With all the options in todays Home Theater world lets better understand DVI and HDMI cables. HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) and DVI (Digital Visual Interface) actually are more alike than they are different and both support the transmission of digital signals. HDMI specifications were derived from the DVI guidelines and specs in 2002 and have continued to be enhanced with newer versions of HDMI. Today we are just now introducing the latest and greatest version of HDMI - v1.4. If you currently have a DVI cable and are questioning switching it because you think HDMI is better, we recommend waiting until you upgrade to a new LED/LCD or Plasma or add a new component that requires an HDMI connection. With your existing DVI cable (although older generation) you are still getting a HD Digital image similar to that of an HDMI cable. The next time you add a component (Blue-Ray, LED/Plasma, etc) then defintely go for the latest version which is 1.4. Please visit our Blog for more information on HDMI, or check out our HDMI Cables and Accessories at ABItronixdirect.com HDMI - abitronixdirect.com

Must Have Accessory MacBook Pro HDMI or DVI out to Samsung TV
FULL REVIEW: www.booyagadget.com This HDMI / DVI out cable by Griffin is a Must Have! Audio AND Video, I LOVE IT! Just to be clear, DVI does not carry an audio signal, so you'll need additional cables if you desire sound. But the HDMI portion of this cable works VERY WELL! Music in this video is from T-Spade, great west-coast style Rap! It really helped us out, please check out his album, you can preview all the songs.. I recommend: When it's Cold Outside, Who's This Guy, and Been Around T-Spade on Amazon: www.amazon.com T-Spade on CDBaby: www.cdbaby.com I LOVE this griffin video converter.. get your MacBook Pro OUT to a TV highly recommended..
