2/3/2012 Wegelin (Norwegian) Swiss Bank Is Indicted in Tax Case in New York
The Hunt for Nazi Treasure | Swiss Bank Is Indicted in Tax Case By BLOOMBERG NEWS Published: February 2, 2012 Wegelin & Company, the 270-year-old Swiss private bank, was indicted in New York on Thursday on federal charges that it had helped Americans evade taxes. The indictment follows charges filed Jan. 3 against three Wegelin bankers accused of conspiring to help American clients hide more than $1.2 billion in assets from tax authorities. Wegelin announced on Jan. 27 that it had agreed to a sale to Switzerland's Raiffeisen Group. Wegelin was indicted in federal court with three bankers at its Zurich branch, Michael Berlinka, Urs Frei and Roger Keller. Prosecutors said that from 2002 to 2011, more than 100 American taxpayers conspired with the defendants and others to hide accounts from the Internal Revenue Service. The bank held more than $1.2 billion in undeclared assets this year, according to the indictment. Prosecutors said Wegelin and the three bankers had wooed American clients fleeing UBS, the largest Swiss bank. A version of this article appeared in print on February 3, 2012, on page B4 of the New York edition with the headline: Swiss Bank Is Indicted in Tax Case. www.nytimes.com LAW - FEBRUARY 3, 2012 Swiss Bank Wegelin Indicted on US Tax Charges US prosecutors filed criminal charges against Switzerland's oldest bank, alleging it helped wealthy Americans hide more than $1.2 billion in secret accounts abroad, the latest move in an ongoing crackdown on overseas ...

อามิช.. Country ชุมชนกบนอกกะลา (ตอน 3 - 7 )
Pennsylvania Amish History The Amish have their roots in the Mennonite community. Both were part of the early Anabaptist movement in Europe, which took place at the time of the Reformation. The Anabaptists believed that only adults who had confessed their faith should be baptized, and that they should remain separate from the larger society. Many early Anabaptists were put to death as heretics by both Catholics and Protestants, and many others fled to the mountains of Switzerland and southern Germany. Here began the Amish tradition of farming and holding worship services in homes rather than churches. In 1536, a young Catholic priest from Holland named Menno Simons joined the Anabaptist movement. His writings and leadership united many of the Anabaptist groups, who were nicknamed "Mennonites." In 1693, a Swiss bishop named Jacob Amman broke from the Mennonite church. His followers were called the "Amish." Although the two groups have split several times, the Amish and Mennonite churches still share the same beliefs concerning baptism, non-resistance, and basic Bible doctrines. The Amish and Mennonites both settled in Pennsylvania as part of William Penn's "holy experiment" of religious tolerance. The first sizable group of Amish arrived in Lancaster County in the 1720s or 1730s. There are actually three families, or Anabaptist-related groups, found in Lancaster County: the Amish, Mennonites and Brethren. All three groups share the Anabaptist belief that calls for making a ...

President RP: Masuria is a Wonder of Nature
The new marina is the largest yacht port in Mazury. The President Bronislaw Komorowski has officially opened the eco-marina, built on the Lake Niegocin. "I congratulate you. Together will all sailing brethren I am pleased with new sailing and tourist infrastructure in Gizycko, on the great, wonderful route of the Great Lakes. This all confirm that Masuria is a Wonder of Nature" - said the president. The Masurian Lake District is the only Polish candidate in the voting for the new seven wonders of the natural world, organised by the Swiss foundation New7Wonders. The slogan of the region is "Mazury cud natury" (Masuria the Wonder of Nature) and campaign promoters draw the attention to the unique qualities of the region, its landscape, nature (including Europen Bisons living freely in Borecka Primeval Forest) and architectural values (traditional Masurian buildings of villages and small towns). Eco-marina in Gizycko on Niegocin Lake is a yacht port with quay in which 138 vessels may be berthed, that includes 6 service station and a slipway. Sailors have also access to electricity and fresh water.

Vulture - The Solar Powered Spy Plane Stays Aloft For Five Years
From: www.popsci.com September 17, 2010 Boeing Wins Bid to Build Vulture, the Solar Spyplane That Stays Aloft for Five Years By Rebecca Boyle Boeing's spyplane development wing won an $89 million contract this week to build the SolarEagle unmanned reconnaissance aircraft, designed to fly continuously for five years at 65000 feet. As the winner of Darpa's Vulture II program, the plane really only has to fly for one to three months by 2014, however. SolarEagle comes from Boeing's Phantom Works, the same design team that brought us the hydrogen-powered Phantom Eye, which will fly at roughly the same altitude for four days. Like its brethren, SolarEagle is a bit odd-looking, but that is mostly because its 400-foot wing is designed to increase solar power and aerodynamic performance. The plane will harvest solar energy throughout the day, storing energy inside fuel cells that will be drained overnight. It comes equipped with efficient electric motors, according to a Boeing news release. Just this summer, a Swiss team proved a manned solar-powered plane can fly for 24 hours straight. An unmanned five-year trip will be no mean feat, considering the world's longest-endurance drone, the Global Hawk, can fly for about 40 hours. Boeing says the SolarEagle will carry a 1000-pound payload — not enough to hoist a bomb to the stratosphere, but plenty to carry a suite of surveillance equipment.FAIR USE NOTICE: This video may contain copyrighted material. Dastardly Dirty Deeds of Rats + Pigs of Wall Street - Self Protection Society The Slime, Fraud, Treason, Corrupt Practices, Conflicts of Interest, Miscarriages of Justice or more specifically the non Prosecution of Justice only gets worse by the week as the Bank(gang)(st)ers control the senior politicians who in turn are subjected to the oversight of the mainstream (manipulating) media controlled by the 'CFR' - these are linked to the corrupted system of law controlled at its higher echelons back to the Executive that in turn is inextricably linked to the 'Supreme Council' of 10 St James Street, London. "Is there a 'Shadow' Goverment?" "There most certainly is!" Look up the International Mens Organization that protects "the Fundamentals" - the cement in the foundation of the superstructure of the US/UK EU. Look up: Dr Henry Makow to gain a somewhat deeper insight to 'the Brethren' Western bankers are using Weapons of Mass [Financial] Destruction as the world is entering into global recession + depression, as financial analyst Max Keiser reminds many TV channels Too many people hold the idea that "Psychopaths" [from the Greek - any person that is soul/psyche suffering] are essentially killers or convicts. That is a highly simplistic + misleading understanding. A song I did using samples from "Little Secrets" by Passion Pit. Produced by Clever Tricks Landed. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for listening! :D Lyrics: We all try to lift the load of life but we should strive to lead the life that's right righteous actions on another, like they were your mother, or a brother coming back from warfare for the summer. While I'm calculating constellations high above the mist peaceful simaritan, I need some claritan to see clear cause what I see dear, are looks of meek bleak fear. If 90% of wealth is held by 10% with greed than that 10 has atleast more than double they will ever need fuck that though, forget about the cash flow why'd'you pack a knife ? Leave it at home, relax bro. I got some 'dro that will get you buzzed, when we get chased by fuzz, we will escape like buds. Cheese is not Downloadable: Consider Bardwell’s Unique Fromage
Former record label exec Chris Gray enjoys cheesemaking because, unlike music, cheese can’t be pirated: “I decided to get into something that you can’t download, and you can’t digitally replicate. Everything we do here is handmade. And so there’s something eternally unique about what this is. And it’ll always be valuable, as long as we keep making it delicious.”
Chris used to develop artists; now, he develops unique batches of artisanal cow’s and goat’s milk cheese as co-owner of 10-year-old Consider Bardwell Farm. He’s a character in a larger story that takes place in West Pawlet, Vermont, on a gorgeous 300-acre dairy farm. The tale begins in 1864, when a man with a curious name—Consider Stebbins Bardwell—founded the first cheese-making co-op in Vermont. Cheesemaking of the Colby/cheddar style may have ended there in the 1930s, but firmly established on this gorgeous estate was a name and a reputation for quality cheesemaking.
Fast forward to 2001, we find the kind of modern farm story that appeals to the foodies and the twitterati. Picture this: high-profile New Yorkers with an itch for the range life make a move to the country, producing the kind of artisanal cheese their city brethren would just eat up. And, like the story of the farm itself, they do eat it up.
If anyone loves a good story, it’s Consider Bardwell Farm’s co-owner Angela Miller. A top literary agent representing food writers Mark Bittman, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and Marcus Samuelsson, she always dreamed of returning to the rural life she experienced growing up on a farm, where her love of cheese earned her the nickname “Mouse.” Trading her Jimmy Choos for Shit Kickers, Miller and her architect husband Russell Glover worked with master cheesemaker Peter Dixon to establish the next incarnation of cheesemaking on the site, named after its original owner: Consider Bardwell Farm. The team built an operation that now produces 45,000 pounds of award-winning artisanal cheeses that may take inspiration from the Europeans, but is uniquely theirs.
“It’s Sunday morning at 9 am and I’m washing cheese,” laughs Chris from one of the farm’s four cheese caves. This is a guy whose post-club bedtime is now close to his farm-chores wake up time. Before moving to Vermont, Gray commuted between hipster mecca Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and West Pawlet, carting cheese in the back of his 1996 Toyota to sell at greenmarkets, stores, and restaurants.
He used to peddle music, but now it’s cheese: “I turn yellow into green,” he jokes. “The funny thing is when you get to the country you think that life is going to be quiet and simple. I’m more busy here than I was in the city, frankly, because there’s always something to do. The amount of work here is endless. That’s one thing they don’t tell you in the move to the country scenario.” Peter Dixon works in the cheese caves and creamery, while Angela Miller and Russell Glover still split their time between honing their creative pursuits in New York and their cheesemaking ventures in Vermont.
“I never thought I’d love goats as much as I do,” Angela claims as she nuzzles and coddles these chocolate-colored animals as if they were her own children. Today she can recite the names and personalities of each of the farm’s 100 adorable, knee-sock wearin’ Oberhasli (Swiss Alpine) goats—there’s California, Daffy, Taffy, and Petunia.
She’s also been known to fall asleep with them in the barn. Perhaps it’s this nurturing that helps these animals produce milk that becomes such exquisite cheese as the Mettowee, a fresh, creamy chèvre, or the Manchester, a nutty, earthy peasant tomme made from raw milk whose flavor changes depending on rotational grazing.
The farm also uses butterfat-heavy Jersey cow’s milk from a neighboring farm to make delectably rich cheeses like Pawlet, the Italian-style raw milk toma, and the pungent, washed-rind Dorset. Using a blend of modern technology and age-old processes, all of the farm’s cheeses are handmade in small batches, and aged entirely at the farm, which gives the team complete control over quality.
The attention to detail shows: the cheeses have earned a slew of awards and accolades, including the American Cheese Society’s “best in category” and “3rd best in show” for Rupert, while Dorset, Manchester, and Pawlet have all earned ribbons at the World Cheese Awards. And they tick all the buzzwords: they’re made from animals that graze on pesticide- and fertilizer-free pastures, the milk is antibiotic and hormone-free, the rennet is vegetarian, and the farm is Animal Welfare Approved.
Consider Bardwell is a modest operation, but one of a number of artisanal creameries that is helping Vermont keep its cheesemaking legacy alive at a time when dairies and creameries are shuttering at alarming rates: in 1950, there were approximately 11,000 dairy farms, while today there are only 1,000. It’s the kind of story
