A bedform is a depositional feature on the bed of a river (fluvial processes) or other body of flowing water that is formed by the movement of the bed material due to the flow. Bedforms are characteristic to the flow parameters, and are particularly to flow depth and velocity, and therefore the Froude number.

Typical unidirectional bedforms represent a specific flow velocity, assuming typical sediments (sands and silts) and water depths, and a chart such as below can be used for interpreting depositional environments, with increasing water velocity going down the chart.

This chart is for general use, because changes in grain size and flow depth can change the bedform present and skip bedforms in certain scenarios. Bidirectional environments (e.g. tidal flats) produce similar bedforms, but the reworking the sediments and opposite directions of flow complicates the structures.

"Lower plane bed" refers to the flat configuration the bed of a river that is produced in via low rates of sediment transport.

Ruth Lorenzo was born in Murcia, a south-eastern region of Spain. At a very young age she became a fan of the musical Annie and although she had no idea of what the words meant she would sing along to the songs in English. When she was six years old she discovered music by Montserrat Caballé, a Spanish opera singer, and after her mother bought her an album by Caballé, Lorenzo began to sing opera, imitating Caballé's vocals until she was pitch perfect.

At the age of 12, Lorenzo's family moved to America and this was the first time she had the opportunity to be involved in music at school. After much encouragement from her teachers, Lorenzo was entered into competitions and played lead roles in musical productions such as The Phantom of the Opera and My Fair Lady. When Lorenzo turned 16 the family returned to Spain and although having had singing lessons by this time, she had to cancel these lessons due to family financial difficulty and as a result Lorenzo gave up on her dream of becoming a recording artist.

Robert Lee "Bobby" Howard (born November 24, 1944 in Tallulah, Louisiana, died April 7, 2008 in San Diego, California) was a collegiate and professional football defensive back. He played in the American Football League for the San Diego Chargers, where he was a second-round selection in the 1967 Common Draft. He also played for the NFL's Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, and New England Patriots.

Howard first played college football at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he later transferred to San Diego State, where he had been recruited by Don Coryell, who would eventually become his head coach with the Chargers..

Howard married Barbara Howard after graduating from San Bernardino High School. They had three children, two girls and a boy. Bob Howard died of cancer on April 7, 2008.
