Rolling in the Deep (Adele garage rock cover)
I wanted to do something a little different with a cover of Rolling in the Deep, since there's a lot of them out there, and mostly with acoustic guitar or keeping the same kind of arrangement as the original. So, I opted to do something that's very garage-rock feel, and I kept it very simple - piano, bass guitar with heaps of fuzz on it, and acoustic drums with a single room mic that's compressed all to hell (so yes, they're supposed to sound like that). This was all shot in my roommates' garage, who have about a zillion things lying everywhere, so while it's a mess, it's fairly photogenic. This was all shot with natural light or one light in the garage. We used a single light for one shot and that was it. Shot on a Canon t2i and a Panasonic Lumix GH1 with a variety of lenses. Video directed by Steve Flavin. Go check out his other work here: www.youtube.com Share this on Facebook! www.facebook.com Follow me on Facebook! www.facebook.com As always, passing this link around is greatly appreciated! Please enjoy the free download! Original as performed by Adele. All copyrights to EMI Publishing and UMPG Publishing.

The Cribs - Come On, Be A No-One - OFFICIAL VIDEO
The official video for the first single to be taken from their fifth album, In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull. Follow The Cribs: Facebook: www.facebook.com Twitter: www.twitter.com Official: www.thecribs.com Here's what the band had to say! "Hey everyone, So here's the video for our new single "Come On, Be A No-One"! Our good friend Patrick Stanton made this with us, while we were doing a short UK tour a couple of weeks ago....we usually hate making videos so this seemed like a good way of getting around all that extra nonsense that comes with the typical video shoot. Not good for self-conscious types like us. Anyway, we love it - no make-up, soft lighting, or posing - just some good rocking...or whatever. Check it out!" New Garage Explosion!! In Love with These Times - Part One
Like This? You Should Subscribe Here Now: bit.ly We teamed up with Scion to produce "New Garage Explosion!! In Love with These Times," a four-part celebration of lo-fi aesthetics and high-pitch partying. In Part One, we try to define "garage" and explore the origins of the genre. ABOUT THE FILM After a brief nod to garage's humble beginnings amongst American youth in Detroit during the 1960s and its contribution and influence on '80s punk, New Garage Explosion!!: In Love With These Times focuses on the scintillating present. As it pans trans-nationally, the camera profiles artists like the late Jay Reatard, Black Lips, The Dirtbombs, Thee Oh Sees, Smith Westerns, Vivian Girls and many more in an attempt to understand not only the exponential ascent of garage rock's popularity but the reason these people feel so passionately about it. A wide-eyed glimpse into a musical movement, the film is as much about the music as it is about the people contributing to the distinct scenes of the San Francisco, Oakland, Detroit, New York, Memphis, Atlanta, and Portland garage communities. VBS directors Joseph Patel and Aaron Brown worked with producer/journalist Mike McGonigal to offer a particularly in depth examination of a multi-dimensional and often misunderstood slice of popular culture unfolding in front of us. New Garage Explosion!!: In Love With These Times is a candid snapshot of this magically vibrant moment in rock history, inspirational and brimming with DIY purity ...

The Strokes - Razorblade
4th track of The Stokes' album First Impressions Of Earth, 2006 lyrics Razorblade, that's what I call love I bet you pick it up and mess around with it If I put it down It gets extremely complicated Anything to forget everything You got to take me out At least once a week Either I'm in your arms Or I'm at your feet I know exactly what you're thinking You won't say it now But in your heart it's loud Oh no, my feelings are more important than yours Oh, drop dead, I don't care, I won't worry There you go Oh, the razor blade Wish it would snap this rope The world is in your hands Or it's at your throat At times it's not that complicated Anything to forget everything He would never talk But he was not shy She was a street-smart girl But she could not lie They were perfect for each other Say it now Cause in your heart it's loud Oh no, my feelings are more important than yours Oh, drop dead, I don't care, I won't worry Ayh Sweetheart Your feelings are more important of course Of course Everyone you wanted Everything that we would take from them I don't wanna know, I don't wanna know Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me no, don't, okay

Ulver - Magic Hollow (from Childhood's End)
Promo video for Ulver's take on Beau Brummels' 'Magic Hollow' taken from the forthcoming album 'Childhood's End'. Directed by Justin Oakey.
Ulver: Childhood's End
Classic psychedelic tracks re-worked by Norwegian legends.
Early pioneers of Norwegian black metal, Ulver have continually evolved throughout their career and now stand as living legends of the 'dark' music industry, blending rock, electronic, industrial and symphonic traditions along with ambient soundscapes and experimental sounds to create groundbreaking material.
Last year they released the critically acclaimed War Of The Roses album which was described by Zero Tolerance as 'a beautiful record of startlingly powerful depth', and Mojo magazine elaborated 'Ulver's genre-weaving musical noir channels David Sylvian, the ghosts of Coil and Pink Floyd in sumptuous melancholy mode.'
They return with Childhood's End, a collection of classic - mostly obscure - psychedelic tracks recorded by the band over an extended period and a few different sessions; starting in late 2008 and ending in late 2011, 'this is the stuff that we sit at home and get stoked about' explains Kristoffer Rygg in a recent Kscope video interview.
He continues: 'I grew up with parents who were still listening to music from the time, so it informed my childhood, but it has became an ever increasing geeky sort of fetish since then.'
This passion for the Sixties' garage rock and psychedelia, and the countless underground gems that remain unknown to most, inspired the band to record their own interpretations of some of their favourite songs from the era. 'My feeling is that most people's knowledge sort of limits itself to The Doors,' says Rygg, 'The Doors were cool, but there was so much else going on… in the underground, records that got lost and didn't get as much recognition as they deserved in my opinion.'
With this is in mind Ulver hope that Childhood's End will introduce some of this music, and the artists who originally recorded them, to people who previously might not have experienced them, 'we want to be ambassadors for the things that we love and we sort of hope that we can open some gates with the record.'
The album includes Ulver's unique versions of tracks from The 13th Floor Elevators, Electric Prunes, Jefferson Airplane, The Pretty Things along with more obscure choices from Bonniwell’s Music Machine, United States of America and more.
