The best time to visit Myrtle Beach though is still to come: summer. That's when you'll really be able to enjoy the beach. But visiting in the off-season has its advantages. The city was quiet, we had the resort pools to ourselves especially in January and February, and temperatures even reached the high 60s and low 70s on the warmest days. Perfect to go for a walk at the beach. In early spring, when we shot this video, you may still have some cool mornings, but the temperatures tend to rise along the day.

Hey Guys... Check out that aerial footage of very popular summer destination at USA East Coast - Myrtle Beach... I shot those clips 2weeks ago... There was no signs of Covid19 lockdown and clearly looks like people have more then enough of stay at home order... Hopefully We wont get back to where We was during last spring... Fingers crossed... BTW If you're planning to go there you have to try that helicopter tour... Its really worth it... Those shots were recorded with iPhoneX... Doesn't look super professional but that Was non expected Heli-tour short trip and I did not prepared myself to film this thing... Well I guess iPhone footage is better than nothing, right?:)

Myrtle Beach is a coastal city on the East Coast of the United States in Horry County, South Carolina. It is in the center of a large and continuous 60-mile (97 km) stretch of beach known as "The Grand Strand" in northeastern South Carolina.
Ranked as the second fastest-growing metropolitan area in the country (per 2018 census estimates), Myrtle Beach is one of the major centers of tourism in South Carolina and the United States because of the city's warm subtropical climate and extensive beaches, attracting an estimated 14 million visitors each year. As of the 2010 census, the population of the city was 27,109, and in 2019 the estimated population was 34,695. The Myrtle Beach metropolitan area had an estimated population in 2019 of 480,891.
Myrtle Beach has been separated from the continental United States since 1936 by the Intracoastal Waterway, forcing the city and area in general to develop within a small distance from the coast. In part due to this separation, the area directly northwest of Myrtle Beach, across the waterway, remained primarily rural for a while, whereas its northeastern and southwestern ends were bordered by other developed tourist towns, North Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach. Since then, the inland portion of the Myrtle Beach area has developed dramatically.
Myrtle Beach is 67 miles (108 km) by highway southeast of Florence, South Carolina, 94 miles (151 km) northeast of Charleston, South Carolina, and 74 miles (119 km) southwest of Wilmington, North Carolina.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has an area of 23.6 square miles (61.0 km2), of which 23.3 square miles (60.4 km2) are land and 0.2 square miles (0.6 km2), or 1.03%, are water.
Hosting over 20 million visitors annually, the Grand Strand is home to an array of tourist attractions, and the area receives a large influx of visitors during all seasons. Nearly 100,000 visitors a year are estimated to come from overseas, with tourists from Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Myrtle Beach hosts a variety of special conventions, events, and musical concerts. The area's attractions include its beaches and courses, amusement parks, an aquarium, Legends In Concert, retail developments, shopping complexes and over 1,900 restaurants including seafood restaurants. The area also has dinner theaters, nightclubs, and many tourist shops. Myrtle Beach has approximately 425 hotels, with many on the beachfront, and approximately 157 accommodation units in total. The area is also home to over 80 golf courses and over 30 miniature golf courses.
The 29-floor Margate Tower in Kingston Plantation is the tallest building in the Myrtle Beach area.
Live shows are offered year round at theaters including the Alabama Theatre, Carolina Opry, Asher Theater, Calvin Gilmore Theater, Legends in Concert, and Medieval Times Family Dinner Theater. Several shows offer special holiday themed shows. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk opened in 2010 and has been recognized as the nation's #3 boardwalk by National Geographic and one of the best US boardwalks by Travel + Leisure magazine. The Myrtle Beach Skywheel opened at the boardwalk in May 2011, and is a 200-foot (61 m) observation wheel, similar to a ferris wheel, with glass gondolas that look over the Atlantic Ocean. This is the first wheel of its kind in the U.S. Myrtle Beach State Park, established in 1935, has just under a mile of Grand Strand beach and is a prime location for camping, swimming, hiking, biking, and fishing. With the vaccine rollout, many are feeling more comfortable. We are seeing it as more people go out traveling on the road now, more people in restaurants, and many are just craving to get out and go on vacation. Here in Myrtle Beach SC Early spring has produced many weekend travelers. Resorts we see the resort parking lots with cars, the restaurants full, and many attractions full. People feel the more comfortable drive to their vacation destination, rather than flying. With a certain percentage of the population inoculated, there is a certain comfort level, we have not had in over a year.

So If you are thinking about traveling I want to give you a wink and nudge to let you know this info, before the place your looking at visiting is booked. The best places always go first. If you want a nice place you may want to start out sooner rather than later.
Talking to many local Myrtle Beach hotel and resort managers, they say the encouraged say The Number of Bookings for June July, and August could make 2021 a record year! Overall They say travel will be up because people will have more money to spend. People have been cooped up, not going out to spend and they also have stimulus money! Many have been affected by this pandemic, but the ones that are back to work or retired, are overdue for a vacation and are doing it. My real estate team has seen many people who have already bought that new furniture for the house, they don't need more furniture. People had saved money that wasn't spent when they had nowhere to go.
We have all seen the news with pictures of packed beaches during spring break. There is such a pent-up demand.
Should you be booking your post-pandemic vacation now? Some will be traveling and others will be blocked out.

Wow there are some really terrible areas in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina!
For this video, I took Route 17 south into the city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The goal would be to check out the worst parts of this beach community, areas that I had heard a lot about in the past. It was partly cloudy, but warm on a Monday, January 4, 2021 at about 10 am.
We’re going to check out two areas in Myrtle Beach that are the most run down of all. one area is closer to downtown and the second area - probably the worst area - is down by the airport.
We’re going to an area close to downtown. This little neighborhood is pretty rundown, and is only a mile from the main drag with all the rides and museums and restaurants and hotels..
Now, recently, Myrtle Beach was named as the third most dangerous place you can live in the entire NATION. Much of that is because of the large number of people who are into drugs, and a lot of the crime is also associated with the tourist season. Lots of people who flock here from out of town cause problems, shoot people and get into trouble. And, locals prey on the tourists who come into town as well. Property crimes are a huge headache every summer.
Others have blamed the crime on the rise in the cost of living here, as wages haven’t kept up with the cost to rent a home, for example.
Myrtle Beach used to be an awesome place to bring the family down, but Myrtle Beach now has an image problem, as word is out about the rise in crime here, so less families come here for their vacations.
However, the main drag is still very pretty and there are a lot of fun things to do. I highlight the Myrtle Beach strip in another video.
Finally, we’ll go to the worst neighborhood I was able to find. It’s way down near the airport on the south end of town, about two miles from the main drag.

Myrtle Beach Speedway
The Myrtle Beach Speedway, originally named Rambi Raceway, was built in 1958 and is located on U.S. Route 501 near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The speedway is a semi-banked asphaltic oval track that spans 0.538 miles (0.866 km). The NASCAR Busch Series (now the Xfinity Series) raced at Myrtle Beach Speedway from 1988 to 2000.
Currently the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race on Saturday nights from April until November. The track also runs various other classes of racing including Late Model Charger, Super Trucks and Mini Stocks. The speedway is home of the Myrtle Beach 400, NASCAR Racing Experience and the Wheels of Destruction Thrill Show.
NASCAR's recent testing ban on active national and regional series tracks may make the D-shaped oval popular for testing, as it is close enough for NASCAR teams to use as a testing venue as none of the four series in question race there.
Over the years, Myrtle Beach Speedway has been the training grounds for some of NASCAR’s biggest stars including Dale Earnhardt Jr. (former late model stock car competitor) and Jeff Gordon (former Busch Series track record holder). All four generations of Pettys (Lee, Richard, Kyle, and Adam) and three generations of Earnhardts (Ralph, Dale Sr., and Dale Jr./Kelley) have taken a green flag around the asphalt oval that spans 0.538 miles (0.866 km).

Myrtle Beach 250
The Myrtle Beach 250 was a NASCAR Busch Series stock car race held at Myrtle Beach Speedway, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Added to the Busch Series schedule in 1988, Myrtle Beach Speedway hosted one race per year through the 2000 season, after which it was removed from the schedule. The first three races held were 200 laps, covering 107.6 miles (173.2 km). The distance was extended to 250 laps starting in 1991, where it remained for the rest of the race's history. Jimmy Spencer and Jeff Green were the only drivers to win twice in this race. Spencer won at both the 200 and 250 laps race lengths, while Green won the final two races ever held at Myrtle Beach.
Two other short tracks, Nashville Speedway USA and South Boston Speedway, were also removed from the Busch Series schedule after the 2000 season. This extra room created on the schedule was used to help add new races at Chicagoland Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Nashville Superspeedway, and Kentucky Speedway starting in 2001.

Wow there are some really terrible areas in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina! For this video, I took Route 17 south into the city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The goal would be to check out the worst parts of this beach community, areas that I had heard a lot about in the past. It was partly cloudy, but warm on a Monday, January 4, 2021 at about 10 am. The best time to visit Myrtle Beach though is still to come: summer. That's when you'll really be able to enjoy the beach. But visiting in the off-season has its advantages. The city was quiet, we had the resort pools to ourselves especially in January and February, and temperatures even reached the high 60s and low 70s on the warmest days. Perfect to go for a walk at the beach. In early spring, when we shot this video, you may still have some cool mornings, but the temperatures tend to rise along the day.

Hey Guys... Check out that aerial footage of very popular summer destination at USA East Coast - Myrtle Beach... I shot those clips 2weeks ago... There was no signs of Covid19 lockdown and clearly looks like people have more then enough of stay at home order... Hopefully We wont get back to where We was during last spring... Fingers crossed... BTW If you're planning to go there you have to try that helicopter tour... Its really worth it... Those shots were recorded with iPhoneX... Doesn't look super professional but that Was non expected Heli-tour short trip and I did not prepared myself to film this thing... Well I guess iPhone footage is better than nothing, right?:)

Myrtle Beach is a coastal city on the East Coast of the United States in Horry County, South Carolina. It is in the center of a large and continuous 60-mile (97 km) stretch of beach known as "The Grand Strand" in northeastern South Carolina.
Ranked as the second fastest-growing metropolitan area in the country (per 2018 census estimates), Myrtle Beach is one of the major centers of tourism in South Carolina and the United States because of the city's warm subtropical climate and extensive beaches, attracting an estimated 14 million visitors each year. As of the 2010 census, the population of the city was 27,109, and in 2019 the estimated population was 34,695. The Myrtle Beach metropolitan area had an estimated population in 2019 of 480,891.
Myrtle Beach has been separated from the continental United States since 1936 by the Intracoastal Waterway, forcing the city and area in general to develop within a small distance from the coast. In part due to this separation, the area directly northwest of Myrtle Beach, across the waterway, remained primarily rural for a while, whereas its northeastern and southwestern ends were bordered by other developed tourist towns, North Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach. Since then, the inland portion of the Myrtle Beach area has developed dramatically.
Myrtle Beach is 67 miles (108 km) by highway southeast of Florence, South Carolina, 94 miles (151 km) northeast of Charleston, South Carolina, and 74 miles (119 km) southwest of Wilmington, North Carolina.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has an area of 23.6 square miles (61.0 km2), of which 23.3 square miles (60.4 km2) are land and 0.2 square miles (0.6 km2), or 1.03%, are water.
Hosting over 20 million visitors annually, the Grand Strand is home to an array of tourist attractions, and the area receives a large influx of visitors during all seasons. Nearly 100,000 visitors a year are estimated to come from overseas, with tourists from Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Myrtle Beach hosts a variety of special conventions, events, and musical concerts. The area's attractions include its beaches and courses, amusement parks, an aquarium, Legends In Concert, retail developments, shopping complexes and over 1,900 restaurants including seafood restaurants. The area also has dinner theaters, nightclubs, and many tourist shops. Myrtle Beach has approximately 425 hotels, with many on the beachfront, and approximately 157 accommodation units in total. The area is also home to over 80 golf courses and over 30 miniature golf courses.
The 29-floor Margate Tower in Kingston Plantation is the tallest building in the Myrtle Beach area.
Live shows are offered year round at theaters including the Alabama Theatre, Carolina Opry, Asher Theater, Calvin Gilmore Theater, Legends in Concert, and Medieval Times Family Dinner Theater. Several shows offer special holiday themed shows. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk opened in 2010 and has been recognized as the nation's #3 boardwalk by National Geographic and one of the best US boardwalks by Travel + Leisure magazine. The Myrtle Beach Skywheel opened at the boardwalk in May 2011, and is a 200-foot (61 m) observation wheel, similar to a ferris wheel, with glass gondolas that look over the Atlantic Ocean. This is the first wheel of its kind in the U.S. Myrtle Beach State Park, established in 1935, has just under a mile of Grand Strand beach and is a prime location for camping, swimming, hiking, biking, and fishing. For all of us who had to cancel vacation plans or put trips on hold last year, 2021 is your year to book those dream vacations. I want to share the updated data from Myrtle Beach resort managers, Hotel bookings, and Airline bookings. 2021 is looking like could be a record year for tourism and vacation bookings.
With the vaccine rollout, many are feeling more comfortable. We are seeing it as more people go out traveling on the road now, more people in restaurants, and many are just craving to get out and go on vacation. Here in Myrtle Beach SC Early spring has produced many weekend travelers. Resorts we see the resort parking lots with cars, the restaurants full, and many attractions full. People feel the more comfortable drive to their vacation destination, rather than flying. With a certain percentage of the population inoculated, there is a certain comfort level, we have not had in over a year.

Talking to many local Myrtle Beach hotel and resort managers, they say the encouraged say The Number of Bookings for June July, and August could make 2021 a record year! Overall They say travel will be up because people will have more money to spend. People have been cooped up, not going out to spend and they also have stimulus money! Many have been affected by this pandemic, but the ones that are back to work or retired, are overdue for a vacation and are doing it. My real estate team has seen many people who have already bought that new furniture for the house, they don't need more furniture. People had saved money that wasn't spent when they had nowhere to go.
We have all seen the news with pictures of packed beaches during spring break. There is such a pent-up demand.
Should you be booking your post-pandemic vacation now? Some will be traveling and others will be blocked out.

Here in Myrtle Beach SC Early spring has produced many weekend travelers. Resorts we see the resort parking lots with cars, the restaurants full, and many attractions full. People feel the more comfortable drive to their vacation destination, rather than flying. With a certain percentage of the population inoculated, there is a certain comfort level, we have not had in over a year.

Wow there are some really terrible areas in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina!
For this video, I took Route 17 south into the city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The goal would be to check out the worst parts of this beach community, areas that I had heard a lot about in the past. It was partly cloudy, but warm on a Monday, January 4, 2021 at about 10 am.
We’re going to check out two areas in Myrtle Beach that are the most run down of all. one area is closer to downtown and the second area - probably the worst area - is down by the airport.
We’re going to an area close to downtown. This little neighborhood is pretty rundown, and is only a mile from the main drag with all the rides and museums and restaurants and hotels..
Now, recently, Myrtle Beach was named as the third most dangerous place you can live in the entire NATION. Much of that is because of the large number of people who are into drugs, and a lot of the crime is also associated with the tourist season. Lots of people who flock here from out of town cause problems, shoot people and get into trouble. And, locals prey on the tourists who come into town as well. Property crimes are a huge headache every summer.
Others have blamed the crime on the rise in the cost of living here, as wages haven’t kept up with the cost to rent a home, for example.
Myrtle Beach used to be an awesome place to bring the family down, but Myrtle Beach now has an image problem, as word is out about the rise in crime here, so less families come here for their vacations.
However, the main drag is still very pretty and there are a lot of fun things to do. I highlight the Myrtle Beach strip in another video.
Finally, we’ll go to the worst neighborhood I was able to find. It’s way down near the airport on the south end of town, about two miles from the main drag.

The best time to visit Myrtle Beach though is still to come: summer. That's when you'll really be able to enjoy the beach. But visiting in the off-season has its advantages. The city was quiet, we had the resort pools to ourselves especially in January and February, and temperatures even reached the high 60s and low 70s on the warmest days. Perfect to go for a walk at the beach. In early spring, when we shot this video, you may still have some cool mornings, but the temperatures tend to rise along the day.

Hey Guys... Check out that aerial footage of very popular summer destination at USA East Coast - Myrtle Beach... I shot those clips 2weeks ago... There was no signs of Covid19 lockdown and clearly looks like people have more then enough of stay at home order... Hopefully We wont get back to where We was during last spring... Fingers crossed... BTW If you're planning to go there you have to try that helicopter tour... Its really worth it... Those shots were recorded with iPhoneX... Doesn't look super professional but that Was non expected Heli-tour short trip and I did not prepared myself to film this thing... Well I guess iPhone footage is better than nothing, right?:)

Myrtle Beach is a coastal city on the East Coast of the United States in Horry County, South Carolina. It is in the center of a large and continuous 60-mile (97 km) stretch of beach known as "The Grand Strand" in northeastern South Carolina.
Ranked as the second fastest-growing metropolitan area in the country (per 2018 census estimates), Myrtle Beach is one of the major centers of tourism in South Carolina and the United States because of the city's warm subtropical climate and extensive beaches, attracting an estimated 14 million visitors each year. As of the 2010 census, the population of the city was 27,109, and in 2019 the estimated population was 34,695. The Myrtle Beach metropolitan area had an estimated population in 2019 of 480,891.
Myrtle Beach has been separated from the continental United States since 1936 by the Intracoastal Waterway, forcing the city and area in general to develop within a small distance from the coast. In part due to this separation, the area directly northwest of Myrtle Beach, across the waterway, remained primarily rural for a while, whereas its northeastern and southwestern ends were bordered by other developed tourist towns, North Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach. Since then, the inland portion of the Myrtle Beach area has developed dramatically.
Myrtle Beach is 67 miles (108 km) by highway southeast of Florence, South Carolina, 94 miles (151 km) northeast of Charleston, South Carolina, and 74 miles (119 km) southwest of Wilmington, North Carolina.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has an area of 23.6 square miles (61.0 km2), of which 23.3 square miles (60.4 km2) are land and 0.2 square miles (0.6 km2), or 1.03%, are water.
Hosting over 20 million visitors annually, the Grand Strand is home to an array of tourist attractions, and the area receives a large influx of visitors during all seasons. Nearly 100,000 visitors a year are estimated to come from overseas, with tourists from Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Myrtle Beach hosts a variety of special conventions, events, and musical concerts. The area's attractions include its beaches and courses, amusement parks, an aquarium, Legends In Concert, retail developments, shopping complexes and over 1,900 restaurants including seafood restaurants. The area also has dinner theaters, nightclubs, and many tourist shops. Myrtle Beach has approximately 425 hotels, with many on the beachfront, and approximately 157 accommodation units in total. The area is also home to over 80 golf courses and over 30 miniature golf courses.
The 29-floor Margate Tower in Kingston Plantation is the tallest building in the Myrtle Beach area.
Live shows are offered year round at theaters including the Alabama Theatre, Carolina Opry, Asher Theater, Calvin Gilmore Theater, Legends in Concert, and Medieval Times Family Dinner Theater. Several shows offer special holiday themed shows. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk opened in 2010 and has been recognized as the nation's #3 boardwalk by National Geographic and one of the best US boardwalks by Travel + Leisure magazine. The Myrtle Beach Skywheel opened at the boardwalk in May 2011, and is a 200-foot (61 m) observation wheel, similar to a ferris wheel, with glass gondolas that look over the Atlantic Ocean. This is the first wheel of its kind in the U.S. Myrtle Beach State Park, established in 1935, has just under a mile of Grand Strand beach and is a prime location for camping, swimming, hiking, biking, and fishing. With the vaccine rollout, many are feeling more comfortable. We are seeing it as more people go out traveling on the road now, more people in restaurants, and many are just craving to get out and go on vacation. Here in Myrtle Beach SC Early spring has produced many weekend travelers. Resorts we see the resort parking lots with cars, the restaurants full, and many attractions full. People feel the more comfortable drive to their vacation destination, rather than flying. With a certain percentage of the population inoculated, there is a certain comfort level, we have not had in over a year.

So If you are thinking about traveling I want to give you a wink and nudge to let you know this info, before the place your looking at visiting is booked. The best places always go first. If you want a nice place you may want to start out sooner rather than later.
Talking to many local Myrtle Beach hotel and resort managers, they say the encouraged say The Number of Bookings for June July, and August could make 2021 a record year! Overall They say travel will be up because people will have more money to spend. People have been cooped up, not going out to spend and they also have stimulus money! Many have been affected by this pandemic, but the ones that are back to work or retired, are overdue for a vacation and are doing it. My real estate team has seen many people who have already bought that new furniture for the house, they don't need more furniture. People had saved money that wasn't spent when they had nowhere to go.
We have all seen the news with pictures of packed beaches during spring break. There is such a pent-up demand.
Should you be booking your post-pandemic vacation now? Some will be traveling and others will be blocked out.

Wow there are some really terrible areas in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina!
For this video, I took Route 17 south into the city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The goal would be to check out the worst parts of this beach community, areas that I had heard a lot about in the past. It was partly cloudy, but warm on a Monday, January 4, 2021 at about 10 am.
We’re going to check out two areas in Myrtle Beach that are the most run down of all. one area is closer to downtown and the second area - probably the worst area - is down by the airport.
We’re going to an area close to downtown. This little neighborhood is pretty rundown, and is only a mile from the main drag with all the rides and museums and restaurants and hotels..
Now, recently, Myrtle Beach was named as the third most dangerous place you can live in the entire NATION. Much of that is because of the large number of people who are into drugs, and a lot of the crime is also associated with the tourist season. Lots of people who flock here from out of town cause problems, shoot people and get into trouble. And, locals prey on the tourists who come into town as well. Property crimes are a huge headache every summer.
Others have blamed the crime on the rise in the cost of living here, as wages haven’t kept up with the cost to rent a home, for example.
Myrtle Beach used to be an awesome place to bring the family down, but Myrtle Beach now has an image problem, as word is out about the rise in crime here, so less families come here for their vacations.
However, the main drag is still very pretty and there are a lot of fun things to do. I highlight the Myrtle Beach strip in another video.
Finally, we’ll go to the worst neighborhood I was able to find. It’s way down near the airport on the south end of town, about two miles from the main drag.

Myrtle Beach Speedway
The Myrtle Beach Speedway, originally named Rambi Raceway, was built in 1958 and is located on U.S. Route 501 near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The speedway is a semi-banked asphaltic oval track that spans 0.538 miles (0.866 km). The NASCAR Busch Series (now the Xfinity Series) raced at Myrtle Beach Speedway from 1988 to 2000.
Currently the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race on Saturday nights from April until November. The track also runs various other classes of racing including Late Model Charger, Super Trucks and Mini Stocks. The speedway is home of the Myrtle Beach 400, NASCAR Racing Experience and the Wheels of Destruction Thrill Show.
NASCAR's recent testing ban on active national and regional series tracks may make the D-shaped oval popular for testing, as it is close enough for NASCAR teams to use as a testing venue as none of the four series in question race there.
Over the years, Myrtle Beach Speedway has been the training grounds for some of NASCAR’s biggest stars including Dale Earnhardt Jr. (former late model stock car competitor) and Jeff Gordon (former Busch Series track record holder). All four generations of Pettys (Lee, Richard, Kyle, and Adam) and three generations of Earnhardts (Ralph, Dale Sr., and Dale Jr./Kelley) have taken a green flag around the asphalt oval that spans 0.538 miles (0.866 km).
