Grounded
One astronaut's journey through space and life ends on a hostile exosolar planet. Grounded is a metaphorical account of the experience, inviting unique interpretation and reflection by the viewer. Themes of aging, inheritance, paternal approval, cyclic trajectories, and behaviors passed on through generations are explored against an ethereal backdrop.

A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF A KITEBOARDER
A film by killedthewind. A frenzy of the favorite footage that we shot during the recent kite year. Unusual riding, overhead sliders, strapless madness and more.
This film was shot on the California Coast in the spring, Sherman Island and the Columbia River Gorge in the summer, Maui in the fall, and La Ventana, Mexico (with night shots from the Burning Bush festival) in the winter.
For a complete list of the tricks and riders in the film, see this thread on Kiteforum: http://bit.ly/riderlist

Silver Lining
A timelapse ode to clouds and their atmospheric beauty. Sit back, relax and watch the sky move.
As a paraglider pilot I've spent plenty of time with clouds and learning about them; observing them grow and decay, watching them being lit in various stunning colours throughout the day and also flying near and in them (cumulus in particular). For more on clouds, take a trip to www.cloudappreciationsociety.org
Shot in South Australia during 2010 around Adelaide, Mt Lofty Ranges, Fleurieu Peninsula, Mid North and Flinders Ranges. Over 8800 photos constructed the master timelapse sequences that made the cut but I shot around 30,000 throughout the year collecting sequences.
Camera: Canon 7D
Lenses: Canon EF-S 17-85mm & 10-22mm
Software: Digital Photo Professional, Photoshop, VirtualDub and Premiere Pro CS5
Music: Phorous, by L.S.G. from the album Into Deep (www.discogs.com/LSG-Into-Deep/master/46740)

BURN: Sneak Peek (Winter 2011)
Here's a little footage we put together from our first two shoots in Detroit, during Winter 2011. Conditions were bitter, but the firefighters' story must be told!
For more info and to DONATE NOW please visit: http://detroitfirefilm.org
BURN is a feature documentary about Detroit, told through the eyes of Detroit firefighters, who are charged with the thankless task of saving a city that many have written off as dead.
June 2012 Update: We were able to screen BURN at Tribeca Film Festival (and we won the Audience Award!), but we are not yet fully funded for public release. We STILL need your support! To finish the film for release, we must pay for a long list of "deliverables"-- things like music licensing, a full audio mix, Closed Captioning, creating the DVD masters, marketing, and MPAA ratings.
Please DONATE NOW: http://detroitfirefilm.org
We are also still interested in corporate partnerships for the film, which will help with our completion and distribution needs.
Thanks so much!
