Cristina - Norwegian Polyglot
English 0:00, French 2:37, German 4:50, Italian 6:17, Swedish 7:43, Spanish 9:45, Norwegian 12:20 - Thanks, EscapeMonotony for this! :) This is a conversation Cristina and I had in her garden in Oslo about her language learning story. We run through a number of languages we have in common. We are both aware of mistakes in the video. It is normal to make mistakes on such quick language changes across so many languages and making them should never put anyone off speaking. :) Through our mistakes, we learn! :)

Polyglot Learns Polish & Chopin: Day 1
SUBSCRIBE! This is a test on the effects of extensive / intensive reading in order to learn Polish. The second half of the video shows my progress in learning Chopin's 1st Piano Concerto. I'm posting a new video every day of my progress. Glossika Fanpage: www.facebook.com Yulianna Avdeeva's Concerto Performance: www.youtube.com This was my first day, so I know there's a lot of room for improvement with my pronunciation. But remember, my goal is to be able to speak each sentence fluently rather than phonetically perfectly. I have not listened to Polish speakers yet as a control for this experiment. YOUTUBE claims the music in this video is a copyright violation. Here's my statement: I'm just practicing some music on my piano at home, not even the whole piece but displaying my practice methods. It's educational in nature. This piece was written before 1850, and according to my understanding anything published before 1923 is in the public domain.

Polyglot Learns Polish & Chopin: Day 2
SUBSCRIBE! This is a test on the effects of extensive / intensive reading in order to learn Polish. The second half of the video shows my progress in learning Chopin's 1st Piano Concerto. I'm posting a new video every day of my progress. Glossika Fanpage: www.facebook.com This was my second day, having practiced now more than 1700 sentences. Some pronunciation adjustments include: less Russian-sounding retroflex, more fully-sounding nasal in all positions with rounding at the end. If you have suggestions or comments, please make them objective and linguistic-based so that I can understand how to improve. If YOUTUBE claims the music in this video is a copyright violation, here's my statement: I'm just practicing some music on my piano at home, not even the whole piece but displaying my practice methods. It's educational. This piece was written before 1850, and according to my understanding anything published before 1923 is in the public domain.

Polyglot Learns Polish & Chopin: Day 3
SUBSCRIBE! This is a test on the effects of extensive / intensive reading in order to learn Polish. The second half of the video shows my progress in learning Chopin's 1st Piano Concerto. I'm posting a new video every day of my progress. Glossika Fanpage: www.facebook.com This was my 3rd day, having practiced now more than 2000 sentences. Now I'm getting more familiar with Polish words, but my pronunciation still needs a lot of work. In addition there is some dialogue in today's section. When I become more familiar with Polish words, I can start the "intensive" part of saying the short dialogue sentences without looking at the text. If YOUTUBE claims the music in this video is a copyright violation, here's my statement: I'm just practicing some music on my piano at home, not even the whole piece but displaying my practice methods. It's educational. This piece was written before 1850, and according to my understanding anything published before 1923 is in the public domain.
