Speed of Fencing long version
Behind the bullet, the tip of a fencing blade is the second fastest-moving object in Olympic sports. Speed of Fencing captures the grace and movements of New York's top epee fencers. Using high-speed photography, amateur spectators will be able to see some of the fastest actions in all of sport for the first time. For the untrained eye, a flick scores without notice. Body signals and feints are too acute for a novice. And what happens when someone blinks at the wrong moment? Fencing has some of the fastest moving objects in sport, which is arguably why it is hard to watch and not spectator friendly. All of these actions will be realized in slow motion with high-speed photography to allow the viewer to appreciate and see what happens in the mind of a trained fencer. These actions appear slower to show the speed in which the mind is calculating each action from years of training and repetition. Brainiac - Electric Fence
READ PLEASE. Clip taken from UK Show, Brainiac, Season 1 Episode 4. Electric Fence Experiment Richard Hammond shows the Brainiacs how fun Electricity can be. Also, yes, if you are in the air when the electricity goes through, you don't get a shock. You don't get shocked if the circuit (box to fence to person to ground to box) doesn't complete. On top of that, the end where he ALMOST shakes Hammond's hand, he doesn't. Also, the slight gap in time between feet hitting ground and the shock can be attributed to the 1-2 second delay caused by the fence not being constantly on. 1st Song: Electric Six - Danger! High Voltage 0:00 - 1:04 1:20 - 1:33 2nd Song: Eddy Grant - Electric Avenue (Ringbang Remix). 2:20 - 5:20

fence made from pallets holds in goats and pigs
www.permies.com Karen Biondo of La biondo Farm and Kitchen, on Vashon Island in Washington state, shows off her fence made of pallets. After getting this bit of video, she showed me another pallet fence that wasn't doing so well - it used a zigzag design - but apparently could not stand up well to the animals. And then there were designs with steel fence posts that weren't doing well either. But this design, the one in the video, help up especially well. Goats and pigs are both known to be extra hard on fence. And this fence has held in both goats and pigs. And she is in the same county as Seattle. So this fence is tolerating a lot of wet rot!
