Concept Note: The compelling saga about a genteel, lovely but illiterate girl, Vidya who hails from the holy town of Benares in India, and marries Sagar under strange circumstances. Sagar is the son of a rich landlord but has been rendered intellectually challenged because of an accident. Sindoora, Sagar's eldest stepsister, is very greedy and wants to grab all of her deceased father's property that he had willed to Vidya before dying. She hates Vidya and spares no opportunity to humiliate and torture her, along with the help of her other two sisters, Mahua and Chandra. However, Vidya tries to keep the family united with her calm demeanour and extraordinary patience. With her love, she even manages to get Sagar on the right track and he eventually falls in love with her, but their new found happiness is short-lived. The plot takes an interesting twist when Sagar and Vidya get killed by Sindoora but they are reborn as Amar and Divya, respectively. Will they be able to avenge their death from Sindoora in their new life? EP # 1 Vidya (Divyanka Tripathi), who lives in Benares in India with her wicked paternal aunt, Hema (Renuka Bondre), is a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva. www.davidafterdentist.com This is a video of my then 7 year old son David in May 2008I had my Flip video camera with me. His mom wasnt able to go becasue of work. I taped some of the morning before the surgery to show her and was already planning to tape afterwards. He had just had a tooth removed due to Hyperdontia or extra tooth. This was taken in the parking lot of the dentist office. He was so out of it. The staff was even laughing. This lasted for a few hours and he was fine. He even laughed at the video that night. He is very smart and always has something interesting to say about many different issues. His philosophical reaction to the medication didnt really suprise us. David is a very good kid and I am blessed to have he and his brother William as sons. This has been a great experience for our family. Thanks for watching. After picking up the Crystal Globe for her contribution to world cinema, she paid an emotional tribute to the film writer and director Nora Ephron who died at the end of June aged 71. Norwegian film-maker Martin Lund's film The Almost Man, won the Grand Prix Crystal Award in the festival's main competition. The film is about a man in his thirties who despite being on the verge of becoming a father, resists the inevitable life changes that come with getting older. Henrik Rafaelsen picked up the festival's best actor award for the title role. Rafaelsen shared the best actor limelight with the Polish actor Eryk Lubos, who was also rewarded for his work in Jan Jakub Kolski's To Kill a Beaver. The Iranian actress Leila Hatami won best actress for her role in the film "The Last Step", directed by her husband, Ali Mosaffa. The jury also gave the film the FIPRESCI prize, saying it was for "the unsettling way it plays with memory, strong performances and a fresh take on Iranian cinema." Eva Neymann's black-and-white Ukrainian production "House with a Turret" is a World War Two-era story about a boy whose mother dies from illness.
