Jeremiah 36
Jehoiakim Burns Jeremiah's Scroll
1 In the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD : 2 "Take a scroll and write on it all the words I have spoken to you concerning Israel, Judah and all the other nations from the time I began speaking to you in the reign of Josiah till now. 3 Perhaps when the people of Judah hear about every disaster I plan to inflict on them, each of them will turn from his wicked way; then I will forgive their wickedness and their sin."
4 So Jeremiah called Baruch son of Neriah, and while Jeremiah dictated all the words the LORD had spoken to him, Baruch wrote them on the scroll. 5 Then Jeremiah told Baruch, "I am restricted; I cannot go to the LORD's temple. 6 So you go to the house of the LORD on a day of fasting and read to the people from the scroll the words of the LORD that you wrote as I dictated. Read them to all the people of Judah who come in from their towns. 7 Perhaps they will bring their petition before the LORD, and each will turn from his wicked ways, for the anger and wrath pronounced against this people by the LORD are great."
8 Baruch son of Neriah did everything Jeremiah the prophet told him to do; at the LORD's temple he read the words of the LORD from the scroll. 9 In the ninth month of the fifth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, a time of fasting before the LORD was proclaimed for all the people in Jerusalem and those who had come from the towns of Judah. 10 From the room of Gemariah son of Shaphan the secretary, which was in the upper courtyard at the entrance of the New Gate of the temple, Baruch read to all the people at the LORD's temple the words of Jeremiah from the scroll.
11 When Micaiah son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, heard all the words of the LORD from the scroll, 12 he went down to the secretary's room in the royal palace, where all the officials were sitting: Elishama the secretary, Delaiah son of Shemaiah, Elnathan son of Acbor, Gemariah son of Shaphan, Zedekiah son of Hananiah, and all the other officials. 13 After Micaiah told them everything he had heard Baruch read to the people from the scroll, 14 all the officials sent Jehudi son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to say to Baruch, "Bring the scroll from which you have read to the people and come." So Baruch son of Neriah went to them with the scroll in his hand. 15 They said to him, "Sit down, please, and read it to us." So Baruch read it to them. 16 When they heard all these words, they looked at each other in fear and said to Baruch, "We must report all these words to the king." 17 Then they asked Baruch, "Tell us, how did you come to write all this? Did Jeremiah dictate it?"
18 "Yes," Baruch replied, "he dictated all these words to me, and I wrote them in ink on the scroll."
19 Then the officials said to Baruch, "You and Jeremiah, go and hide. Don't let anyone know where you are."
20 After they put the scroll in the room of Elishama the secretary, they went to the king in the courtyard and reported everything to him. 21 The king sent Jehudi to get the scroll, and Jehudi brought it from the room of Elishama the secretary and read it to the king and all the officials standing beside him. 22 It was the ninth month and the king was sitting in the winter apartment, with a fire burning in the firepot in front of him. 23 Whenever Jehudi had read three or four columns of the scroll, the king cut them off with a scribe's knife and threw them into the firepot, until the entire scroll was burned in the fire. 24 The king and all his attendants who heard all these words showed no fear, nor did they tear their clothes. 25 Even though Elnathan, Delaiah and Gemariah urged the king not to burn the scroll, he would not listen to them. 26 Instead, the king commanded Jerahmeel, a son of the king, Seraiah son of Azriel and Shelemiah son of Abdeel to arrest Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet. But the LORD had hidden them.

2 Chronicles 36 (New International Version)
2 Chronicles 36
1 And the people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and made him king in Jerusalem in place of his father.
Jehoahaz King of Judah
2 Jehoahaz [a] was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. 3 The king of Egypt dethroned him in Jerusalem and imposed on Judah a levy of a hundred talents [b] of silver and a talent [c] of gold. 4 The king of Egypt made Eliakim, a brother of Jehoahaz, king over Judah and Jerusalem and changed Eliakim's name to Jehoiakim. But Neco took Eliakim's brother Jehoahaz and carried him off to Egypt.
Jehoiakim King of Judah
5 Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD his God. 6 Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon attacked him and bound him with bronze shackles to take him to Babylon. 7 Nebuchadnezzar also took to Babylon articles from the temple of the LORD and put them in his temple [d] there.
8 The other events of Jehoiakim's reign, the detestable things he did and all that was found against him, are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. And Jehoiachin his son succeeded him as king.
Jehoiachin King of Judah
9 Jehoiachin was eighteen [e] years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months and ten days. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD. 10 In the spring, King Nebuchadnezzar sent for him and brought him to Babylon, together with articles of value from the temple of the LORD, and he made Jehoiachin's uncle, [f] Zedekiah, king over Judah and Jerusalem.
Zedekiah King of Judah
11 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. 12 He did evil in the eyes of the LORD his God and did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke the word of the LORD. 13 He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him take an oath in God's name. He became stiff-necked and hardened his heart and would not turn to the LORD, the God of Israel. 14 Furthermore, all the leaders of the priests and the people became more and more unfaithful, following all the detestable practices of the nations and defiling the temple of the LORD, which he had consecrated in Jerusalem.
The Fall of Jerusalem
15 The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent word to them through his messengers again and again, because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 But they mocked God's messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the LORD was aroused against his people and there was no remedy. 17 He brought up against them the king of the Babylonians, [g] who killed their young men with the sword in the sanctuary, and spared neither young man nor young woman, old man or aged. God handed all of them over to Nebuchadnezzar. 18 He carried to Babylon all the articles from the temple of God, both large and small, and the treasures of the LORD's temple and the treasures of the king and his officials. 19 They set fire to God's temple and broke down the wall of Jerusalem; they burned all the palaces and destroyed everything of value there.
20 He carried into exile to Babylon the remnant, who escaped from the sword, and they became servants to him and his sons until the kingdom of Persia came to power. 21 The land enjoyed its sabbath rests; all the time of its desolation it rested, until the seventy years were completed in fulfillment of the word of the LORD spoken by Jeremiah.
22 In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD spoken by Jeremiah, the LORD moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and to put it in writing:
23 "This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:
" 'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Anyone of his people among you—may the LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.' "

May 25.avi--A Book Burning Jeremiah 36:1-4,21-31--Luke 9:35
A Book Burning
God gave Jeremiah a message to write down for everyone to read.
Alot of people didn't like what the message said. Would they listen to God or would they ignore the message?
Jeremiah 36:1-4,21-31
Baruch Reads the Lord's Messages
During the fourth year that Jehoiakim son of Josiah was king in Judah, the Lord gave this message to Jeremiah: Get a scroll, and write down all my messages against Israel, Judah, and the other nations. Begin with the first message back in the days of Josiah, and write down every message, right up to the present time. Perhaps the people of Judah will repent when they hear again all the terrible things I have planned for them. Then I will be able to forgive their sins and wrongdoings."
So Jeremiah sent for Baruch son of Neriah, and as Jeremiah dictated all the prophecies that the Lord had given him, Baruch wrote them on a scroll.
The king sent Jehudi to get the scroll. Jehudi brought it from Elishama's room and read it to the king as all his officials stood by. It was late autumn, and the king was in a winterized part of the palace, sitting in front of a fire to keep warm. Each time Jehudi finished reading three or four columns, the king took a knife and cut off that section of the scroll. He then threw it into the fire, section by section, until the whole scroll was burned up. Neither the king nor his attendants showed any signs of fear or repentance at what they heard. Even when Elnathan, Delaiah, and Gemariah begged the king not to burn the scroll, he wouldn't listen.
Then the king commanded his son Jerahmeel, Seraiah son of Azriel, and Shelemiah son of Abdeel to arrest Baruch and Jeremiah. But the Lord had hidden them.
Jeremiah Rewrites the Scroll
After the king had burned the scroll on which Baruch had written Jeremiah's words, the Lord gave Jeremiah another message. He said, "Get another scroll, and write everything again just as you did on the scroll King Jehoiakim burned. Then say to the king, 'This is what the Lord says: You burned the scroll because it said the king of Babylon would destroy this land and empty it of people and animals. Now this is what the Lord says about King Jehoiakim of Judah: He will have no heirs to sit on the throne of David. His dead body will be thrown out to lie unburied—exposed to the heat of the day and the frost of the night. I will punish him and his family and his attendants for their sins. I will pour out on them and on all the people of Jerusalem and Judah all the disasters I promised, for they would not listen to my warnings.'"
King Jehoiakim didn't like what he heard: Stop sinning or God will punish you. So the king cut up God's message and threw the scroll into the fire. But destroying the message didn't make it go away. God would still punish the king for sins. Sometimes we pretend we can't hear or don't understand when we are warned about doing somthing wrond. We can choose to ignor it, like the king, but eventually we will have to face the consequences. The best course of action is to listen and obey.
Luke 9:35
God's voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, my chosen One. Listen to him."
And thats our Bible reading for today! OK! BYE!

Curse of Jechonias son of Jehoiakim, Forefather of Yahushua
The Seedline of Joseph has a man, who is thought to have been cursed by YHWH not to inherit the thorne of David. Many will use Jeremiah 22:30 to prove that Yahushua was not the messiah believing that Joseph was the father of Yahushua.
This video will prove that Jechonias, was not cursed by YHWH because he repented.
Yahushua was prophesied to come from the seedline of David.
Isaiah 11:1
And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, & a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2 & the spirit of YHWH shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom & understanding, the spirit of counsel & might, the spirit of knowledge & of the fear of YHWH;
The Curse of Jechoniah
Jechoniah = "YHWH will establish"
Coniah = "YHWH will establish", when you read theses names in the King James, it is the same person.
Jeremiah 22:
24 As I live, saith YHWH, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;
25 & I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, & into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, & into the hand of the Chaldeans.
26 & I will cast thee out, & thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; & there shall ye die.
27 But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return.
28 Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he & his seed, & are cast into a land which they know not?
29 O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of YHWH.
30 Thus saith YHWH, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, & ruling any more in Judah.
The Controversy of the
Genealogy of Joseph
Conias or Jechonias is in the genealogy of Joseph
Matthew 1:11
And Josias begat Jechonias & his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:12 & after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; & Salathiel begat Zorobabel;
According to theses verses, It seems impossible that the Messiah would come through Joseph because of the curse on Jehoiakim's son, Jeconiah.
I also once believed this, until I investigated a bit further. I no longer believe that Jehioakim's seed was cursed by YHWH. I will review the scriptures which caused me to come to this conclusion that, Jehoiakim's seed was not cursed by YHWH, but forgiven.
THE REASON FOR THE CURSE
2nd Kings 24:6 So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: & Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.9 & he did that which was evil in the sight of YHWH, according to all that his father had done.
Jehoiachin was as evil as his father, so he was carried away into Captivity in Babylon. (2nd Kings 24:10-16).
Let's review the curse in question...
Jeremiah 22:30
Thus saith YHWH, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, & ruling any more in Judah.
1st) Jechonias was curse to be childless, but
2 Chronicles 3:17 says that he had 8 son's.
2nd) Was that Jechonias himself was cursed not to prosper: but
Read
Kings 25:27-28
3rd) Jechonias seed was cursed not to sit on the throne of David: but this is what Zechariah 4:6 says concerning Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel of the seed of Jechonias.
6 Then he answered & spake unto me, saying, This is the word of YHWH unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith YHWH of hosts. 7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: & he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Favour, favour unto it.8 Moreover the word of YHWH came unto me, saying,9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; & thou shalt know that YHWH of hosts hath sent me unto you. 10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, & shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of YHWH, which run to & fro through the whole earth.
Haggai 2:4,21-23 says...
23 In that day, saith YHWH of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith YHWH, & will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith YHWH of hosts.
