Dudhwa National Park situated in Terai-Duar savanna and grasslands ecoregion
Dudhwa National Park is a National Park and major part of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve located in the Terai of Uttar Pradesh state, India. It covers an area of 680 km2, with a buffer zone of almost 190 km2. The area was established in 1958 as a wildlife sanctuary for Swamp Deer. Thanks to the efforts of 'Billy' Arjan Singh the area was notified as a national park in January 1977. In 1988, the park was declared as a tiger reserve, and forms the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve together with the Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary and Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary. Elevation ranges from about 150 metres (490 ft) to 183 metres (600 ft). The international border with Nepal forms the northern boundary, and the River Suheli the southern boundary. Its headquarters are located in Lakhimpur Kheri District. The nearest town with service facilities is Palia. The vegetation of the area is Himalayan subtropical broadleaf forests. The high dense forests are interspersed with extensive stretches of Terai-Duar savanna and grasslands and flooded grasslands and savannas. The predominant tree species are sal, asna, shisham, jamun, gular, bahera and sehore. Dudhwa National Park is home to one of the finest Sal forests in India, some of these trees are more than 150 years old and over 70 ft (21 m) tall. Major attractions of Dudhwa National Park are the Tigers (population 98 in 1995) and Swamp Deer (population over 1600). The other animals to be seen here include Swamp Deer, Sambar Deer, Barking Deer, Spotted Deer ...

Alaska's Five Eco Regions - A Rant and a Geography
This video is a rant about false maps used to portray Alaska as a small island a few miles off the coast of Los Angeles, with Hawaii usually shown a little ways north of Mexico City. These maps are often published in ignorance, but also as part of public relations campaigns in US schools, in various national publications, and electronic media in order to diminish the huge value of Alaska's abundant fresh water resources. In that way, these PR campaigns make it possible to eventually strip mineral and surface resources at bargain basement rates. So. This video is also about about Alaska's fresh water.

1. An Introduction to the Southwest Australia Ecoregion
The Southwest Australia Ecoregion is one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth, and is unique, even within the bounds of Australia's huge array of weird and wonderful wildlife. The region's global significance is based on high levels of natural diversity, particularly for plants, coupled with high levels of threat to that diversity. It is one of the world's 34 official biodiversity hotspots as recognised by Conservation International. To qualify as a hotspot, a region must meet two strict criteria: it must contain at least 1500 species of vascular (higher order) plants as endemics, and it has to have lost at least 70% of its original habitat.
