While most of these are lost films, 16mm prints made for the home market have been turning up in private collections over the last couple of decades. note: a "Jonah" is a old expression for someone who is a jinx or whom brings bad luck wherever they go.

I do not know the title but at the end of Pt 2 is shows Film 1349. This was shown on WLYH 15 Lancaster PA. They showed Classic Comedies on Sunday nights before sign off. Reception was from about 80 miles away. Interesting to see the movie sets of the 1930s. The director Will Hays was famous for being one of the top people of the film industry and setting morality codes for films. He was also a US Postmaster General and the Chairman of the Republican National Committee at various times.

Great little comedy released Nov 1926 starring the British comedian Lupino Lane. Co-stars his brother Wallace, Kathryn McGuire and Glen Cavender.
This is a longer version than that seen elsewhere, containing 5 mins of extra footage. Unfortunately the picture quality of the additional footage is not as good as most of the rest but hey, at least you get to see the Lloyd Hamilton cameo now.

Lloyd Hamilton
Lloyd Vernon Hamilton (August 19, 1891 – January 19, 1935) was an American film comedian, best remembered for his work in the silent era.
Career
Having begun his career as an extra in theatre-productions, Hamilton first appeared on film in 1913, doing various uncredited roles in one-reel comedies. A year later, in 1914, he teamed up with comedian Bud Duncan, and for the next three years the two performers appeared as comedy team Ham and Bud in numerous one-reelers produced by a studio named Kalem. Hamilton and Duncan split up in 1917, Hamilton joining Fox as a solo performer. During the next few years he developed a distinct comic persona, appearing as a slightly prissy, overgrown boy often wearing a checkered cap.
By the early 1920s, Hamilton was considered a major star of short comedies. His skills were admired by his fellow comedians, thus contributing to his reputation as a comedian's comedian; according to Oscar Levant, Charlie Chaplin singled him out as the one actor of whom he was jealous.Buster Keaton in an interview praised him as "one of the funniest men in pictures," while Charley Chase, who early in his career had directed Hamilton in a number of short subjects, stated that he would often ask himself "how would 'Ham' Hamilton play this?" before shooting a scene. His films often have surreal touches: in The Movies he tearfully bids goodbye to his mother to go to the city, turns his back on the family farm, and steps directly into the city which is right next door. In Move Along he neatly lays his trousers in the street, to have a steamroller press them.

Lupino Lane
Lupino Lane (16 June 1892 – 10 November 1959) was an English actor and theatre manager, and a member of the famous Lupino family. Lane started out as a child performer, known as 'Little Nipper', and went on to appear in a wide range of theatrical, music hall and film performances. He is best known for playing Bill Snibson in the play and film Me and My Girl, which popularised The Lambeth Walk.
Early life and career
Lane was born Henry William George Lupino, in Hackney, London, son of Harry Charles Lupino (1867–1925), part of the Lupino family. He adopted the surname Lane from his great-aunt Sarah Lane (1822–1899, née Borrow), the director of the Britannia Theatre, Hoxton. Lane married actress Violet Blythe on 10 February 1917, and their son was the actor Lauri Lupino Lane (1921–86). Lane's brother was the actor Wallace Lupino, and his nephew, Wallace's son, was another actor, Richard Lupino. Lane's niece, Ida Lupino, the daughter of actors Stanley Lupino and Connie Emerald (1892–1959), was the most famous member of this acting family.

Jonah Jones
Jonah Jones (born Robert Elliott Jones; December 31, 1909 – April 29, 2000) was a jazz trumpeter who created concise versions of jazz and swing and jazz standards that appealed to a mass audience. In the jazz community, it can be argued that he might be best appreciated for his work with Stuff Smith. He was sometimes referred to as "King Louis II," a reference to Louis Armstrong. Jones started playing alto saxophone at the age of 12 in the Booker T. Washington Community Center band in Louisville, Kentucky before quickly transitioning to trumpet, where he excelled.
Career
Jones was born in Louisville, Kentucky. Jones began his career playing on a river boat named Island Queen, which traveled between Kentucky and Ohio. He began in the 1920s playing on Mississippi riverboats and then in 1928 he joined with Horace Henderson. Later he worked with Jimmie Lunceford and had an early collaboration with Stuff Smith in 1932. From 1932-1936 he had a successful collaboration with Smith, but in the 1940s he worked in big bands like Benny Carter's and Fletcher Henderson's. He would spend most of decade with Cab Calloway's band which later became a combo.

Lloyd Hamilton 1930s Comedy Short Pt 1
I do not know the title but at the end of Pt 2 is shows Film 1349. This was shown on WLYH 15 Lancaster PA. They showed Classic Comedies on Sunday nights before sign off. Reception was from about 80 miles away. Interesting to see the movie sets of the 1930s. The director Will Hays was famous for being one of the top people of the film industry and setting morality codes for films. He was also a US Postmaster General and the Chairman of the Republican National Committee at various times.

Great little comedy released Nov 1926 starring the British comedian Lupino Lane. Co-stars his brother Wallace, Kathryn McGuire and Glen Cavender. This is a longer version than that seen elsewhere, containing 5 mins of extra footage. Unfortunately the picture quality of the additional footage is not as good as most of the rest but hey, at least you get to see the Lloyd Hamilton cameo now. Enjoy! I referred to Sir Banister Fletcher’s – “A History of Architecture” Processional Temples of Egypt. The Stairs, Main Bedroom and Ensuite are set out according to the Fibonacci Spiral – Golden Section/Divine Proportion. Green Eco – Sustainable Design elements are an integral part of the design: there is a passive design triple volume Hypostyle Hall North facing, which acts like a Suntrap in Winter, warming the House, and cooling/air conditioning/natural ventilation in Summer through the Venturi Stack Effect created by louvres at the lower floor and upper floor roof creating a natural flue – drawing cool air over the swimming pool through evaporative cooling and upward to be exhausted at the roof louvres. Passive heating and cooling are controllable on each floor to the House by large opening sliding doors between Hypostyle Hall and House Floors. There is rainwater harvesting to a concealed underground 50,000 Litre rainwater storage tank. Local Waikato Hinuera Stone will be used for stairs, columns, floors, ramps and decks recalling Egyptian golden sand. There are also automated sun control louvers to the cantilevered eaves. This House promises to be an extraordinary project for New Zealand.

Robin & Colleen design and fabricate large scale truck trailers in Hamilton for New Zealand and Australia. The Design Concept for the House was inspired by the following 3 items: First, the Client’s design drawings for truck trailers – large scale steel structures. Second, the nearby Fairfield Bridge, a ferro-concrete structure built by the Waikato District Council in 1937 that is arched, lyrical, organic and evocative in form. Third, the Egyptian Processional Temples with their architectonics of Grand Ramps, Hypostyle Hall, Bud Columns and Sanctuary as well as the relationship and close proximity of the Nile River likened to the Waikato River. I referred to Sir Banister Fletcher’s – “A History of Architecture” Processional Temples of Egypt. The Stairs, Main Bedroom and Ensuite are set out according to the Fibonacci Spiral – Golden Section/Divine Proportion. The hour-long special, marking Gordeeva's first duet performance since the untimely death of her husband and skating partner, Sergei Grinkov.
Inspired by the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical and the Academy Award- winning full-length animated feature film, "Beauty and the Beast: A Concert on Ice" will be hosted by James Barbour, who currently stars as the Beast in the Los Angeles stage production. and Susan Egan, who was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance as the original Belle on Broadway.
The magical score from the feature film, written by the Oscar Award- winning team of Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman and the lyrics from the Broadway musical written by Tim Rice, will be performed by Egan and members of the Los Angeles cast including Barbour, Gary Beach ("Lumiere"), Gibby Brand ("Cogsworth"), Mari Jo Catlett ("Wardrobe"), John Dewar ("Monsieur D'Arque"), Heather Lee ("Babette"), Jeanne Lehman ("Mrs. Potts"), Aaron Lipin ("Chip"), Michael Piontek ("Gaston") and Jamie Torcellini ("La Fou").
Joining Gordeeva and Petrenko on ice are world champion figure skaters Scott Hamilton, Lloyd Eisler, JoJo Starbuck and renowned pair skaters, Shae- Lynn Bourne and Victor Kraatz and Marina Klimova and Sergei Ponomarenko. The skaters will perform their artistry on ice as the cast from the theatrical production perform the lavish score.
"Beauty and the Beast: A Concert on Ice" will present original ice choreography for a selection of the musical's songs. The special begins with the show's rousing opening production number "Belle," sung by Egan, where Gordeeva makes her exciting entrance as the town's beautiful book worm, yearning for the romantic life that she loves to read about. Later, Egan will take to the ice when she joins Gordeeva and they perform to "Home." Lloyd Hamilton 1930s Comedy Short Pt 1
I do not know the title but at the end of Pt 2 is shows Film 1349. This was shown on WLYH 15 Lancaster PA. They showed Classic Comedies on Sunday nights before sign off. Reception was from about 80 miles away. Interesting to see the movie sets of the 1930s. The director Will Hays was famous for being one of the top people of the film industry and setting morality codes for films. He was also a US Postmaster General and the Chairman of the Republican National Committee at various times.

I do not know the title but at the end of Pt 2 is shows Film 1349. This was shown on WLYH 15 Lancaster PA. They showed Classic Comedies on Sunday nights before sign off. Reception was from about 80 miles away. Interesting to see the movie sets of the 1930s. The director Will Hays was famous for being one of the top people of the film industry and setting morality codes for films. He was also a US Postmaster General and the Chairman of the Republican National Committee at various times.

Chico has always been for me the unsung hero when it comes to jazz bandleaders, with him its all about the groove, more than enough to create vast, hypnotic sonic landscapes. Its no surprise some of the most mystical jazz musicians have come out of his groups, Charles Lloyd and Gabor Szabo among others. Its not psychedelia, but there is definitely some trance going on there, which is what I always root for in music.

Robin & Colleen design and fabricate large scale truck trailers in Hamilton for New Zealand and Australia. The Design Concept for the House was inspired by the following 3 items: First, the Client’s design drawings for truck trailers – large scale steel structures. Second, the nearby Fairfield Bridge, a ferro-concrete structure built by the Waikato District Council in 1937 that is arched, lyrical, organic and evocative in form. Third, the Egyptian Processional Temples with their architectonics of Grand Ramps, Hypostyle Hall, Bud Columns and Sanctuary as well as the relationship and close proximity of the Nile River likened to the Waikato River. I referred to Sir Banister Fletcher’s – “A History of Architecture” Processional Temples of Egypt. The Stairs, Main Bedroom and Ensuite are set out according to the Fibonacci Spiral – Golden Section/Divine Proportion. The design celebrates “structural expressionism” through “Flying Magaftas” – curved, organic columns/beams on the outside and inside of the House. The House will have the first curved glass lift in residential construction in New Zealand, this is meant to be an abstracted Egyptian Bud Column in Glass, creating a beacon of light at night.
Green Eco – Sustainable Design elements are an integral part of the design: there is a passive design triple volume Hypostyle Hall North facing, which acts like a Suntrap in Winter, warming the House, and cooling/air conditioning/natural ventilation in Summer through the Venturi Stack Effect created by louvres at the lower floor and upper floor roof creating a natural flue – drawing cool air over the swimming pool through evaporative cooling and upward to be exhausted at the roof louvres. Passive heating and cooling are controllable on each floor to the House by large opening sliding doors between Hypostyle Hall and House Floors. There is rainwater harvesting to a concealed underground 50,000 Litre rainwater storage tank. Local Waikato Hinuera Stone will be used for stairs, columns, floors, ramps and decks recalling Egyptian golden sand. There are also automated sun control louvers to the cantilevered eaves. This House promises to be an extraordinary project for New Zealand.

Walt Disney's "Beauty and the Beast: A Concert on Ice," starring two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Ekaterina Gordeeva in the role of Belle and Olympic Gold Medalist Victor Petrenko as the Beast, begins production this week at CBS Television City in Los Angeles. The hour-long special, marking Gordeeva's first duet performance since the untimely death of her husband and skating partner, Sergei Grinkov.
Inspired by the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical and the Academy Award- winning full-length animated feature film, "Beauty and the Beast: A Concert on Ice" will be hosted by James Barbour, who currently stars as the Beast in the Los Angeles stage production. and Susan Egan, who was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance as the original Belle on Broadway.
The magical score from the feature film, written by the Oscar Award- winning team of Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman and the lyrics from the Broadway musical written by Tim Rice, will be performed by Egan and members of the Los Angeles cast including Barbour, Gary Beach ("Lumiere"), Gibby Brand ("Cogsworth"), Mari Jo Catlett ("Wardrobe"), John Dewar ("Monsieur D'Arque"), Heather Lee ("Babette"), Jeanne Lehman ("Mrs. Potts"), Aaron Lipin ("Chip"), Michael Piontek ("Gaston") and Jamie Torcellini ("La Fou").
Joining Gordeeva and Petrenko on ice are world champion figure skaters Scott Hamilton, Lloyd Eisler, JoJo Starbuck and renowned pair skaters, Shae- Lynn Bourne and Victor Kraatz and Marina Klimova and Sergei Ponomarenko. The skaters will perform their artistry on ice as the cast from the theatrical production perform the lavish score.
"Beauty and the Beast: A Concert on Ice" will present original ice choreography for a selection of the musical's songs. The special begins with the show's rousing opening production number "Belle," sung by Egan, where Gordeeva makes her exciting entrance as the town's beautiful book worm, yearning for the romantic life that she loves to read about. Later, Egan will take to the ice when she joins Gordeeva and they perform to "Home."
