Demo- MoPho Keyboard DSI Dave Smith Instruments
The Mopho Keyboard is a compact and affordable—but powerful—monophonic analog synthesizer. The voice architecture is similar to a single voice of the Prophet '08, but with a couple of twists to distinguish it from its award-winning sibling. We have added two sub-octave generators—one per oscillator—for additional girth and crushing basses. It also has an audio input that lets you process external audio and mix Mopho's own audio output back in pre-filter for feedback effects that can range from subtle distortion to extreme skronk. It features the same semi-weighted keyboard action as the Prophet.

Keith Emerson master keyboard
Keith Emerson was the driving force behind the 70s mega group Emerson Lake And Palmer. To say that Keith is a colourful character is a gross understatement. His stage antics are the stuff of legend. If you are a Hammond organ Keith is your sworn enemy, over the years he has burned them, blown them up, attacked the keyboard with sharp knives, and generally abused them.j Fanfare for the common man by Aaron Copland 1990 Keith Emerson:keyboards Simon Phillips:drums Jeff Baxter:guitar Joe Walsh:guitar John Entwistle:bass guitar Rick Livingstone:vocal

Diego Stocco - Bassoforte
Few days ago I started thinking about how I could re-purpose the keyboard of the dismantled piano I keep in the garden, so I thought to build a new instrument by combining it with some other parts I had laying around. I ended up with this mechanical hybrid thing I thought to call "Bassoforte" (bass + pianoforte).
The neck is from a broken electric bass, as a bridge I used a cabinet handle, the pickups are from a guitar, and the part at the top where the strings are attached is a chimney cap, which works as resonator as well as percussive sound.
The track I created is a tribute to my Dad who is a big fan of Western comic books and "spaghetti western" films, and because of him I am too.
I hope you'll like it!
The track is available also at my Bandcamp page: http://diegostocco.bandcamp.com/track/bassoforte

ONE BABY BAND!
Q's first jam.
INFO & UPDATE: 70K views and going strong! Really do appreciate all the exposure and kind words for the video. It was an idea I had for a while.. and one morning my little (9 month old) guy was looking for some fun, so we set up the camera and let him get his hands on some different equipment. He loves making sounds, and even smiles when he watches the video. I planned this as a series, and we're already coming up with some ideas for PART 2, stay tuned!

Clavilux 2000 - Interactive instrument for generative music visualization
The Clavilux 2000 is an interactive instrument for generative music visualization, which is able to generate a live visualization of any music played on a digital piano. The setting of the installation consists of three parts: A digital piano with 88 keys and midi output, a computer running a vvvv patch and a vertical projection above the keyboard.
For every note played on the keyboard a new visual element appears in form of a stripe, which follows in its dimensions, position and speed the way the particular key was stroke. Colours give the viewer and listener an impression of the harmonic relations: Each key has it's own color scheme and "wrong" notes stand out in contrasting colors.
All stripes stay and overlap each other in an additive way, so at the end a kind of pattern remains – a summary of the music – which will be always unique since the notes of the composition aswell as the interpretation of the piano player are influencing the outcome. Furthermore the piano player can switch between the standart 2d view and an additional 3d view of the visualization while playing.

Squarepusher presents Shobaleader One - Megazine (taken from d'Demonstrator)
http://squarepusher.net
Q & A with Squarepusher:
1. What is Shobaleader One?
Shobaleader One is my band. Last summer a bunch of kids got in contact with me. They were talking about forming an ensemble, which I thought was a ridiculous idea but I was impressed by their perseverance so we met up. Their idea was that they wanted the 'fantasy group' I had written about in connection with 'Just A Souvenir' to become a real entity that would record and tour. So we had a go at doing some recording and the story so far is documented on this record.
2. Who is in the band?
Basically a bunch of people who you may or may not have heard of from other bands and projects. Part of their idea is that this music is a completely clean break with whatever they've done in the past so I'm not allowed to mention any names. I can tell you that they are pretty frightening players.
3. What are the aims of Shobaleader One?
The overall aim is to articulate my music through the medium of a band. I always thought that a band would be a limiting thing. I've got very used to being able to make music by programming or playing without having to explain anything to anyone, and I assumed it would slow everything down if I had to. Actually it has made it quicker because I'm not trying to be four people simultaneously any more. I'm not over-explaining anything to them as they've got strong ideas of their own and I want to hear that in the final results.
4. Do you have live plans?
At the moment the plan is to tour next year after we have recorded more material. Playing live is part of the focus of this music. I'm really excited about playing live as this group of musicians is an extremely potent mixture. I've no idea what it's going to be like touring with them as not one of us is what you'd call easy going. Every member of this band is a high-tension freak so who knows what'll end up happening!
5. How did the Mr Oizo remix come about?
That was Pedro's idea from Ed Banger. I've always had respect for that bunch. I thought it would be great because Oizo is on quite a different tip to Shobaleader One.
6. What's next?
I'm writing more material for the band to record. It's an ongoing experiment. Each one of us is trying to develop the sound of their instrument. It's really exciting to be involved with instrumental players who are as into sonic experimentation as much as the actual music. I've also been in contact with Andre from Outkast recently.
7. How would you describe the sound of Shobaleader One and are there any
specific sounds, artists or albums that have influenced this new
direction?
We are playing my compositions, so in that respect it relates quite clearly to what I've done before, but as I'm not doing much playing or programming it is sonically quite different. It sounds more focused. Lots of musos end up just making their music a platform to display their skill. The great thing about this lot is that although they are great players they keep 99% of that hidden and just use it to give a very acute delivery of the songs.
Musically speaking these kids come from a metal background but they're all bang into really slick R&B; which I found quite funny at first but it's making more sense as we go on. The basic premise at the outset was 'space pop' -a utopian pop music hallucination. It's a stand against the affectation of knowing indifference in urban life and its corollary in music. I've always wanted to sabotage coolness as for me music is about laughing and crying, not about standing around smoking cigarettes.

Donkey Kong Country 2 - Mining Melancholy On Guitar / Bass / Keyboard
Like me on facebook for updates and song suggestions and to be the first to know what I'm working on! : www.facebook.com Heres your mp3! : www.mediafire.com Hey guys! Sorry for the long wait on this one. I've always loved this song growing up. So awesome, almost as good as the brambles/stickerbrush symphony theme! I had a lot of different ideas as I was progressing through this cover, and unfortunately it kept delaying the process of getting it done earlier. Every time I had a solid idea on how I wanted the song to sound, I would add something new and it would make me rethink what I was doing. It was like an endless loop and drove me nuts! I finally decided to just keep what I had and wrap it up. For this one I didn't try taking a lot of liberties here. I wanted to keep it close to the original. Programmed drums, trying to keep it close to the original along with a little sample. I also want to introduce you guys to the newest member of the musical family, my new electric-acoustic guitar : the Yamaha FGX700SC. I hope you guys enjoy this one and some more covers on the way!
