David Robert Jones (8 January 1947 – 10 January 2016), known as David Bowie (/ˈboʊ.i/), was an English singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, painter, and actor. He was a figure in popular music for over five decades, and was considered by critics and musicians as an innovator, particularly for his work in the 1970s. His career was marked by reinvention and visual presentation, and his music and stagecraft significantly impacted popular music. During his lifetime, he sold an estimated 140 million records worldwide. In the UK, he was awarded nine platinum album certifications, eleven gold and eight silver, and released eleven number-one albums. In the US, he received five platinum and seven gold certifications. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
David (/ˈdeɪvɪd/; Hebrew: דָּוִד, Modern David, Tiberian Dāwîḏ;ISO 259-3 Dawid; Arabic: داوُد Dāwūd; Syriac: ܕܘܝܕ Dawid; Ancient Greek: Δαυίδ; Latin: Davidus, David; Strong's: Daveed) was, according to the Books of Samuel, the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel, and according to the New Testament, an ancestor of Jesus. His life is conventionally dated to c. 1040 – 970 BCE, his reign over Judah c. 1010–970 BCE.
The Books of Samuel, 1 Kings, and 1 Chronicles are the only Old Testament sources of information on David, although the Tel Dan Stele (dated c. 850–835 BCE) contains the phrase בית דוד (bytdwd), read as "House of David", which many scholars confirm to be a likely plausible match to the existence in the mid-9th century BCE of a Judean royal dynasty called the House of David.
Depicted as a valorous warrior of great renown, and a poet and musician credited for composing much of the psalms contained in the Book of Psalms, King David is widely viewed as a righteous and effective king in battle and civil justice. He is described as a man after God's own heart in 1 Samuel 13:14 and Acts 13:22.
Nine Inch Nails (abbreviated NIN; stylized as NIИ) is an American industrial rock band, founded in 1988 by Trent Reznor in Cleveland, Ohio. As its main producer, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, Reznor is the only official member of the group and remains solely responsible for its direction. Nine Inch Nails' music straddles a wide range of genres. After recording a new album, Reznor usually assembles a live band to perform with him. The touring band features a revolving lineup that often rearranges songs to fit a live setting. On stage, Nine Inch Nails often employs visual elements to accompany performances, which frequently include light shows.
Underground music audiences warmly received Nine Inch Nails in its early years. Reznor produced several highly influential records in the 1990s that achieved widespread popularity: many Nine Inch Nails songs became radio hits; and their entire catalog has reached record sales exceeding over 20 million albums worldwide, with 10 million sales certified in the United States alone. In 1997, Reznor appeared in Time magazine's list of the year's most influential people, and Spin magazine described him as "the most vital artist in music." In 2004, Rolling Stone placed Nine Inch Nails at 94 on its list of the 100 greatest artists of all time. Despite this acclaim, the band has had several feuds with the corporate side of the recording industry. In 2007, these corporate entanglements resulted in Reznor announcing that Nine Inch Nails would split from its label and release future material independently.
Previously Unreleased is a 1982 album by the English guitarist Larry Wallis, released under the name Pink Fairies. Although released as a 12" 33RPM LP, it actually played at 45RPM making it more of an EP.
The album contains "As Long As The Price Is Right" which had previously been issued as a single by Dr. Feelgood (who would cover "Talk of the Devil" and "Can't Find the Lady" on their Doctor's Orders and Mad Man Blues albums, respectively. That song, and 'It's coming back again' were both originally recorded by Wallis for his aborted solo LP for the Stiff label in considerably different form. The album/Ep came out while Wallis was playing with Butler & Sanderson in a band with many names, most notably 'The Police Cars' & 'The Love Pirates Of Doom' along with 2nd guitarist Andy Colquhoun and was recorded at that time, though without Colquhoun's input. The line-up played many gigs at Dingwalls, once appearing as The Deviants with Mick Farren (vocals) having also been the support band, and later at the Cricketers (Oval) and (once) in Leeds (minus Sanderson). The reformed Pink Fairies (1987) was essentially this combo with Russell Hunter & (for a while) Twink replacing George Butler

Recorded on 23 April 1979 in London for ITV's 'Kenny Everett VIdeo Show'. Bowie performs to a newly recorded version of the song. Check out his white nail polish. This was shown on a TV tribute to Bowie earlier this year. I've cropped out the channel logos but otherwise left it untouched. For the sake of completion, I've also added the skit Bowie and Everett perform after the song finishes. This is from a different source and the video quality isn't as good - but still very watchable. Enjoy.
David Bowie is Happening Now is a live nationwide cinema event taking place on 19.00 Tuesday 13 August 2013 live from the exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
"I'm very drunk in this" David Bowie told Russell Harty in 1975 referring to his Soul Train TV appearance. "I was very nervous so I had a couple of drinks, which I never do and I really shouldn't have. It's lovely. It's very funny." Harty: "Does it show?" Bowie: "Oh yes!" This clip was shown as part of a TV tribute night to Bowie earlier this year. Although the show was shot on videotape, this looks to be a film transfer of the clip. The source videotape would be better quality and have more accurate colour, but this version still has lots of detail. I've slowed the clip down to the correct speed, fixed the aspect ratio and added a higher quality version of the audio. I hope you like it.

David Bowie is The Man Who Fell To Earth - 2017 This is a film about a film - Nic Roeg's 1976 esoteric science fiction movie - The Man Who Fell to Earth. Roeg's film has beguiled and baffled audiences since it's release. It explores, often in abstraction and allegory, the themes of alienation, power, love, trust and betrayal. David Bowie is The Man Who Fell To Earth is an attempt to partly explain the movie. And it is a look at the way the film came together and at Roeg’s working methods, and at the creative process itself. And because it is a film about the creative process, it was felt that it should also in itself, try to also be creative. It is quite widely known that Bowie and his music were greatly influenced by Roeg and the time he spent working on the film. And so David Bowie is...
“It was a very smooth collaboration. His fantasy took place inside my work.” Artist Tony Oursler talks about his David Bowie music video 'Where Are We Now' which was published on Bowie's 66th birthday. 'Where Are We Now' quickly went to number one in the iTunes charts in 17 countries and has been viewed more than 3,5 million times on YouTube alone. The video was shot at Oursler's studio in Manhatten, and is full of references to Bowie's past. “Moving forwards over decades, certain things are lost, but certain things are retained.” This is the basic idea of the video, as Oursler explains it. He adds how their “anti-rock video” was based on David Bowies ideas, and was shot within a strict deadline. At the core of the video is a conjoined rag doll with two faces projected onto it: a “myste...
David Bowie – Arena Rock – BBC TV – 1978 This is an enjoyable and intelligently made David Bowie BBC TV feature from 1978. The show was recorded and broadcast during the 1978 Isolar II World Tour, and produced by Bowie’s old mate Alan Yentob. It features an interview that covers Bowie’s changing musical perspective, his feelings about the tour and the Just A Gigolo movie. Also featured are live tracks and Bowie and Brian Eno’s instrumental from the “Heroes” album, Neuköln, set to a visual collage of contemporary Germany. Bowie's original track mostly runs behind the live band and Adam's vocals from his live performances. I do not claim any rights over these audio and visual materials and am not intending to breach any copyrights. My aim is to provide a "fantasy" only and to combine the powerful...

Here is a copy of `Battersea Power Station` released in the UK in 1969 on the Regal Zonophone Label (Tyrannosaurous Rex, Move, Procul Harum etc) by the obscure `Juniors Eyes`, probably best known due to being David Bowie`s band in 1969 when he hit with `Space Oddity`. Although only rated 100+ British Pounds this is a very hard LP to find in its original version on the Red/Silver label with flipback sleeve Aand so will keep rising in value – subscribe to my channel for regular uploads of more rare records with pictures of their original sleeves/labels etc side 1 1.
