Saracen - Heroes Saints and Fools (1981)
One of my favorite songs ever, taken from Saracen's "Heroes, Saints and Fools" LP (Nucleus, 1981). This record is definitely one of the best pieces of music to emerge from UK in the 80s, an inspired blend of NWOHBM, hard rock and symphonic/pomp/prog rock. Lyrics: Standing at the gates of Forever How can I choose the way - what are the rules? Here the roads of life come together The roads of heroes, saints and fools Staring in the face of dilemma My shadow whispers, Turn for home - but here I go Stepping through the door to Forever I never thought my fear would show What now, where is the future? --I'll show you three roads now you choose the way Who are these wardens who call me? --A soldier, a priest and a jester, OK? --Wake up, our freedom is calling, fight for the right and you might set us free Wake up, wake up, wake up and a hero you'll be --Stand up, creatures of mercy, reach for the Bible and march with the Lord Stand up, stand up, stand up and the saints will applaud --Look out, don't let 'em fool ya, you'll never score if you stick to the rules Look out, look out, look out for the ones they call fools Come on, you've got to be kidding, what if I don't want to be what you say? Come on, come on, come on oh there must be a way Johnny was a loser from the start He listened to the wardens instead of his heart I don't want to be a hero, a saint or a fool I just want to win like they taught me at school Forward lead the roads, roads to freedom What a price I'll have to ...

Leicester Tigers 25-50 Saracens - Aviva Premiership Rugby Highlights Round 4 | 24-09-11
Six-try Saracens silence Welford Road Charlie Hodgson starred as Saracens crushed under-strength Leicester Tigers 50-25 at Welford Road for a third consecutive win in the defence of their Aviva Premiership Rugby title. Share Hodgson scored a try, three penalties and three conversions, while back-row forward Ernst Joubert claimed two tries as Saracens made light of their own problems with injuries and World Cup absences. Saracens underlined their dominance with a three-try burst early in the first half and had too much power and experience for the hard-working Tigers in what was a one-sided re-match of last season's final. The result leaves Leicester, who were without 16 first-team squad players, with just one win from their opening four matches, while Saracens' third consecutive win came despite having eight of their top players away on World Cup duty. Saracens began the match in ominous fashion, with Hodgson kicking three early penalties to one by Twelvetrees as the visitors opened up a 9-3 lead. Premiership Rugby's all-time top scorer then grabbed a nicely worked try, which he converted to make it 16-3. At that point, Leicester's under-strength side were acquitting themselves well but struggling to cross the advantage line, relying heavily on some smart clearing kicks by young fly-half George Ford to relieve the pressure. Twelvetrees did notch his second penalty just before the half-hour mark, but a sudden rash of missed tackles cost his side dear moments later, as ...

Saracen Archery: 3 arrows in 1 ½ seconds.
This video is old and there is an Updated video "Reinventing the fastest forgotten archery." www.youtube.com which also tries to answer many of the questions people have asked for this video. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I show it is possible to shoot 3 arrows at 1 ½ seconds. Looking for someone who can do it faster ? The first part of the video I shoot my old speed in the second part of the video I shoot 3 arrows at 1 ½ seconds. The book "Saracen Archery" An English translation of a Mameluke work on archery, written in the year 1368. In this book are 3 test as ancient archers should be able to do: 1. A target test 2. A test of ballistic 3. And a test to show whether the archer was fast enough ! To pass the speed test, required to be able to shoot 3 arrows at less than 1 ½ seconds. (third arrow must be in the air before the first arrow hits the target, distance 60 bows = 69 meters,we can then calculate the time to 1 ½ seconds) The last 3 years I have seriously trained to see how fast it is possible to shoot with bow, I try to find a speed limit but have not found it yet. Why do I not show my technique? If we accept that the historical source is true (and there are also other sources) Then there was in the past archers, who were able to shoot arrows at speeds less than 0.75 seconds for a new arrow and probably 0.5 seconds. I have tried to study all the modern archers who shoot fast, there are many good and talented ...

Leicester Tigers 33-27 Saracens - Premiership Rugby Final 2010
Leicester 33-27 Saracens 29 May 2010 2010 Premiership Rugby final Official footage provided exclusively online by the Premiership Rugby Youtube channel. Defending champions Leicester won their third title in four years after they finally subdued the challenge of Saracens in a pulsating Premiership final at Twickenham. A breathless first half saw Sarries take an early 6-3 lead through the boot of Glen Jackson, with Toby Flood replying with a penalty for Leicester. The Tigers then took the lead with a superb converted try from Matt Smith but Saracens hit back with a stunning try of their own from captain Ernst Joubert. Tit for tat penalties saw the lead change hands twice before Ben Youngs crossed for a converted try to finally get some daylight for Leicester, who led 20-14 at the break. The Tigers came out after the interval determined to tighten things up and edged into a nine-point lead through Flood's third penalty, only for Joubert to score his second try to keep Saracens' hopes alive. Flood edged Leicester into a five-point lead as their pack took control in the scrum, but Jackson landed two penalties of his own to put Sarries into the lead inside the last five minutes. It looked as though they might claim their first ever title but Leicester would not be denied and Dan Hipkiss raced over for a dramatic score to break Saracens' hearts. The match had been billed as a classic clash of styles, with Leicester's forward power and strength in the tight matched against the ...
