Kloten is a municipality in the district of Bülach in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland, and belongs to the Glatt Valley (German: Glattal).
History
Kloten is first mentioned in 1155 as
Chlotun.

Zürich Airport is partially within Kloten.
Kloten is linked with Zürich via the A51 motorway and with Bülach via the same motorway. It also lies on roads taking to many places, such as Winterthur to the east.
Kloten and Balsberg are stops of the S-Bahn Zürich on the line S7.

Prior to its dissolution Swissair was headquartered at the airport in Kloten. In 1985 Crossair was headquartered in Kloten.
