In 1941, the original Sarah Long Bridge collapsed, dumping locomotive #3666 into the Piscataqua River between NH and Maine. The locomotive and it's coal cars were dragged by tug only 300 feet out from under the bridge,, and remains there today. Video taken by Dante Russo in 2008.
Here's Erica attempting to swim against max current in the Piscataqua River, which is the 3rd fastest flowing river in the US.
Subscribe to GeTTingWiGGly ► http://bit.ly/SubToWiggly In this video we did some late night squid fishing in the Piscataqua River in New Hampshire. It was super dark out so I tried to brighten the footage as much as I could. We were just using squid jigs and catching them right off a dock at high tide. We tried not to get INKED, but it happened anyways, fun stuff! ● My Twitter - http://bit.ly/WigglysTwitter ● My Twitch - http://bit.ly/WigglysTwitch ● My Google+ - http://bit.ly/WigglysGooglePlus ● My GTA 5 Crew - http://bit.ly/WigglysCrew ● My Gaming Network - http://bit.ly/CurseGamingPartner ● My Modded Controller - http://bit.ly/ModController ● My AW Playlist - http://bit.ly/AdvancedWarfarePlaylist ● Earn a Free Copy of Black Ops 3 - http://bit.ly/FreeBO3 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ★...
Seth Lawson jumps into the river on a dare and earned 10 bucks! The Piscataqua is the 3rd strongest current in the world. The Piscataqua is in between Portsmouth New Hampshire and Kittery Maine. Learn more about the river @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piscataqua_River
Driving across the Piscataqua River Bridge connecting Kittery, Maine to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. A great trip from Central Maine to South Central New Hampshire.
Yesterday, mom and I went back up to Ocean Park, Maine to do our work on opening up the cottage for the summer. Along the way, I filmed several videos of us on I-95. The first one has us crossing the Piscataqua River Bridge into Maine (The river separates the border between the Portsmouth, NH and Kittery, ME respectively). The bridge is also the only one on the river that is not a lift bridge. Speaking of lift bridges, the Memorial Bridge (Which U.S. Route 1 was on) was completely removed last fall which means that only the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge (Where the U.S. Route 1 Bypass is on) is the only lift bridge left on the river. Anyways, more videos of us in the Maine are on the way.

The I-95 bridge across the Piscataqua River connects the city of Portsmouth & Kittery along the main freeway corridor between Boston and the Atlantic Maritimes. This one built in 1972 is the newest of three bridges that cross the river here between New Hampshire and Maine. It totals just under a mile in length and its design appears to be inspired by that of other bridges along the east coast's turnpike system (bridges across Newark Bay and the Delaware River come to mind)

Travel video about destination New England. The city of Plymouth is the beginning of a journey through the north eastern region of America, New England, which is where the first European settlers landed in the 17th century after stepping off the Mayflower. The ‘Plimouth Plantation’ is a reconstruction of the Pilgrim Fathers’ original settlement, with ‘settlers’ in original costume going about their daily routine. In the centre of Boston, Copley Square features the Trinity Church which contrasts with the modern Hancock Tower that dominates the skyline and Park Street Church was where, in 1829, William Garrison gave his first anti-slavery speech. In the adjacent Granary Burial Ground some of America’s most famous sons are buried, such as John Hancock, Samuel Adams and Paul Revere. Portsmouth ...
The Eastern Trail is a 65-mile section of the East Coast Greenway, a transportation-recreation greenway connecting Kittery, in southernmost Maine, to Casco Bay in South Portland! The Eastern Trail is both a trail and a vision. The Eastern Trail has 22 off-road miles from Bug Light (in South Portland) to Kennebunk, as well as a scenic on-road route that mostly follows quiet country roads. Experienced bike riders and hikers can enjoy a beautiful journey from South Portland's Bug Light Park on Casco Bay (near Portland) to Kittery's Piscataqua River. We are aggressively developing plans and funds to both close a critical 1.6-mile gap between South Portland and Scarborough and then add 19 miles between Kennebunk and South Berwick. Your support will help us get there.
We are on Pier 36 along the East River, where we see Maine Maritime Academy's Training Ship State of Maine, or TSSOM, as she gets assisted out of her berth and heads for sea. From here, TSSOM will run out the final leg of her training cruise as she heads up to Searsport, Maine and then across Penobscot Bay to Castine. In the first scene, we see McAllister tugboat Amy C. McAllister and Moran tugboat Kimberly Turecamo as they prepare to assist the ship while lines are tossed from the dock. In the second scene, the ship gets taken back from her berth, and she blows her horn. In the final scene, the ship gets turned to face down river. TSSOM, originally the USNS Tanner, TAGS-40, was built for the Navy as a fast Oceanographic Research Vessel by Bethlehem Steel Corporation at its Sparrows P...

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel is one of longest bridges in the world. It crosses the mouth of Chesapeake Bay between Virginia's Eastern Shore and the city of Virginia Beach. Officially 17.6 miles long (19.0 miles between toll plazas), the crossing features a high-level span over the North Channel, a 5,237 ft. long tunnel beneath Chesapeake Channel, and a 5,552 ft. long tunnel beneath Thimble Shoal Channel. The original span opened in 1964, with the twin span trestles opening in 2000. Current plans are in place for new parallel tunnels to eliminate the dangerous merging two-way traffic in the current tunnels. (funding permitting...) Highlights (there are lots of them): 00:00 to 21:09 -- (Chesapeake Bay panoramic view) 00:50 -- Toll Plaza 01:30 -- Southern Trestle 04:45 -- Thimble Shoal...
Mainely Grillin & Chillin held at the Raitt Family Museum in Eliot, Maine, on the Western side of Maine, just minutes from Kittery ME; Portsmouth, NH; Dover, NH; and depending on traffic only an hour from Boston. An exceptional venue with woodsman competition, music, crafts, truck pull, and of course everyone's favorite a BBQ competition.
