WARNING: This will not work for DELL AXIM X50 LOW'S. ( (Will work on Dell Axim X51 lows) Do NOT attempt if you have a Dell Axim X50 LOW. You will brick your Axim!! So heres the grand tutorial, how to upgrade any Dell Axim X to Windows Mobile 6.5! This only works on the High Dell Axim X50, X51 (mid and low!) , X50V, and X51V. If you have any questions, make sure you read the FAQ at the bottom of the video description, if it answers your question. WARNING FOR DELL AXIM X50/X50V USERS: You MUST have your Axim X50/X50v on Windows Mobile 5 before attempting, due to bootloader capabilites. Just enter the SD Image Loader again, and retry the update. Q. My Axim said "Update Failed" on "Erasing Storage". A. The update should be done if it got to that point. On the Axim, press the Power+RECORD+Reset buttons together, when the Axim resets, release the reset button, but hold the 2 buttons still. The Diagnostics menu should come up. Perform the diagnostics. One phase of the Diagnostics clears the storage like the updater. Q. Still failing... A. Using the right ROM? Otherwise, you cant upgrade. Q. How do I enter the SD Image Loader? A. Restart the video, and pay attention to your screen... Q. I don't have a SD Card. Can I use a MicroSD Card? A. Yes, you will need the MicroSD SD Card Adapter though. Q. I get an error saying "FAT32 Format Supported only" on the SD Image loader. Whats wrong? A. Uhh... Did you format your SD Card to the FAT32 format? Q. I get an error saying "No suitable image found" on the SD Image Loader. A. You need to make sure that the ".nb0" file is in the ROOT of your SD Card. Same with the ".crc" Q. The SD Image Loader doesn't load! A. You're not putting in the combination for the SD image Loader in correctly, or the ".crc" file isn't in the root of your SD Card. Q. I dont have a SD Card. Can I use a CF card? A. NO. Q. Whopper? A. Sure. Q. I got a different question, but its not on this FAQ. A. Post a comment.

This was my attempt at a video review of the Dell Axim x50v, It is a very good Pocket PC and I would recomend it for anyone who is in the market for a handheld. While using the x50v with Windows Mobile 6 I found there to be some very annoying flaws. The main flaw is that the wi-fi cannot hold a connection, it can but sometimes it likes to drop and then you cannot access the internet. This is very annoying but then again it works perfectly fine other times. The Axim x50v also has many positive features, for instanace it is a very fast Pocket PC (624MHz), it has the ability to be expanded to over 32gb

Don't blow your money on a cheap mp4 player from China that will break in a few days or even an expensive IPOD. This Dell Axim can do a whole lot. So much in fact, I pondered a lot in the video as to what to do next. The Axim has as much memory as YOU NEED depending on the compact flash card you buy - some models even come with GPS! I know you really want to get that piece of junk from China - but just know that the touch screen will either go dead or won't power up at all in a matter of time. And honestly, who plays Tetris anymore?? You saw the graphics capabilities of this Axim! And that wasn't even one of the better games!! The music options are just too much to list! I balance my checkbook, use WIFI to get on the internet, make to do lists, play pool, play cards, and DRAW. You will spend an average of 30 dollars or more than a junk mp4 player from China and a hundred + less than an Ipod from Apple. This is a solid choice. Get on Ebay and check one out! Only thing it CAN'T do is take pictures or video.. whoopy doo! That's what a camera is for!!

Fist off many owners 0f X51 and X50 are bricking there PDA even after i warn everybody not to do this unless they know what they are doing and have done all of their research so I'm going to make this a little easier. YAY FOR HD CAMERA! So Dell Axim X50's are STILL useful after 5 years, ehh! We never knew it had such capabilities! This is my video showing a Dell Axim X50 MID running Windows Mobile 6.5 by LennySh on HTCGeeks. He hooks us up with all of the Dell Axim roms. XD Unlike the unofficial 6.1 rom for the X50, CF and WPA-TKP/AES works! It doesn't have the Finger UI (bummer. I was looking forward for that) like the other 6.5 roms. But its a pretty dam good ROM! It may have froze once but I still prefer it over wm5 and wm6.1. I may do a video tutorial on how to load Windows Mobile 6.5 on X50 Axims.
