EX Cop Christopher Dorner Wanted in Murder of basketball coach, fiance IRVINE, Calif. (KABC) -- Eyewitness News has learned a former LAPD officer has been named a suspect in the double-murder of a Cal State Fullerton basketball coach and her USC security guard fiancé in Irvine. Keith Lawrence, 27, and Monica Quan, 28, were found fatally shot in Lawrence's car in the parking lot of their apartment complex in Irvine Sunday. In a news conference Wednesday night, Irvine Police identified the suspect as Christopher Jordan Dorner, a former LAPD officer and Navy reservist. Dorner's whereabouts were unknown. His last known address was on Sharon Drive in La Palma. He is believed to be driving a blue Nissan Titan pickup truck, California license plate 7X03191. He is considered armed and dangerous. Dorner, 33, is described as an African-American man standing 6 feet tall, weighing 270 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. If seen, call 911. Police said Dorner wrote a multi-page manifesto in which he implicated himself. Authorities said Dorner appears to have murdered Quan in an act of revenge against her father, Randy Quan, a former LAPD officer who retired and became an attorney. Court documents obtained by Eyewitness News show that in August 2007, Dorner made a complaint against his field training officer accusing her of kicking a suspect. However, the LAPD Board of Rights found Dorner's complaint to be false and terminated his employment for making a false statement. The ...

May 1998 For the last time this century the Indian city of Haridwar in the foothills of the Himalayas was the setting for the mother of all festivals. Haridwar is one of the seven most important sites in the world for devout Hindus. Here the River Ganges enters the plains of India. For this year's Kumbh Mela bathing festival a staggering 7 million Hindus have arrived. After three months of dancing, the characterful Bath of the Saddhus, the reclusive Hindu holy men, takes Place. According to Hindu mythology, the waters of the Ganges turn into the nectar of immortal life during this auspicious time. To bathe is to gain immortality, and millions do. The atmosphere of the scene is like a rave, whistles blowing, crowds everywhere. But with their thick dreadlocks and ash-covered bodyguards (nargas), the Saddhus steal the show. This year's festivities took Place without violence - proving India's Holy men can show more restraint than its politicians. Produced by ABC Australia Distributed by Journeyman Pictures

Transport chaos continues on the roads as a driving ban has come into effect in Massachusetts. Americans are preparing for what meteorologists claim is a potentially historic snowstorm. With 2-3 feet of snow expected in Boston overnight, residents rushed to stock up on the essentials. Though in the big Apple, panic buying wasn't on everyone's minds. New York resident Linda Calvet said: "I'm planning to go out to Central Park tomorrow and look at the beautiful snow, take pictures, do photography. I love snow."
