Noah's Flood: Myth or Reality? P1
Deluge myth: deluge myth or flood myth is a mythical story of a great flood sent by a deity or deities to destroy civilization as an act of divine retribution. It is a widespread theme among many cultures, though it is perhaps best known in modern times through the biblical account of Noah's Ark, the Hindu Puranic story of Manu, through Deucalion in Greek mythology or Utnapishtim in the Epic of Gilgamesh. Black Sea deluge theory: The Black Sea deluge is a hypothesized catastrophic rise in the level of the Black Sea circa 5600 BC due to waters from the Mediterranean Sea breaching a sill in the Bosporus Strait. The hypothesis made headlines when The New York Times published it in December 1996, shortly before it was published in an academic journal. While it is agreed that the sequence of events described did occur, there is debate over the suddenness and magnitude of the events. Two opposing hypotheses have arisen to explain the rise of the Black Sea: gradual and oscillating. The oscillating hypothesis specifies that over the last 30000 years, water has intermittently flowed back and forth between the Black Sea and Aegean Sea in relatively small magnitudes. Flood hypothesis: In 1997, Bill Ryan and Walter Pitman published evidence that a massive flooding of the Black Sea occurred about 5600 BC through the Bosporus, following this scenario. Before that date, glacial meltwater had turned the Black and Caspian Seas into vast freshwater lakes which were draining into the Aegean ...

Noah's Ark is a Mesopotamian myth
Noah's Ark (Hebrew: תיבת נח; Arabic: سفينة نوح) is the vessel which, according to the Book of Genesis, was built by Noah at God's command to save himself, his family and the world's animals from a worldwide deluge. The narrative features in a number of Abrahamic religions including Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The Book of Genesis, chapters 6-9, tells how God sends a great flood to destroy the earth because of man's wickedness and because the earth is corrupt. God tells Noah, the righteous man in his generation, to build a large vessel to save his family and a representation of the world's animals. God gives detailed instructions for the Ark, and after its completion, sends the animals to Noah.God then sends the Flood which rises until all the mountains are covered and most living things died, except the fish. Then "God remembered Noah," the waters abate, and dry land reappears. Noah, his family, and the animals leave the Ark, and God vowed to never again send a flood to destroy the Earth. The narrative has been subject to extensive elaborations in Judaism, Christianity and Islam, ranging from hypothetical solutions to practical problems (eg waste disposal and the problem of lighting the interior), through to theological interpretations (eg the Ark as the precursor of the church in offering salvation to mankind). Although traditionally accepted as historical, by the 19th century the changing views of archaeologists and biblical scholars had led most people to abandon ...

The Deluge
A Greek Myth of the creation, destruction, and recreation of man, based on a story from Ovid's Metamorphoses. Ambitious latin project Junior year of High School. No facial animation and first half is in stills because I only had three weeks to research, write, and make it (while attending school full time and doing a play). I blame all sappiness on Ovid. Won the following awards: - Best in Show - Texas Media Awards 2004 - 1st Place in Multimedia 9-12 Category - Texas Media Awards 2004 - 1st Place - Animation 9-12 - Texas Computer Educator's Association 2004 It also got me accepted into NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, though I didn't end up going there. Made in Lightwave, with people created in Poser using DAZ Victoria and DAZ Michael. Clothes made by me. Opening sequence of stills made in After Effects. Voice effects done using SonicFoundary (now Sony) Sound Forge, sound sequencing done using Acid 3.0 and Adobe Audition. 240 hours of work for 8 min, 28 sec of animation. About 5 days total render time (on a 2 GHz CPU).

The Rise & Fall of the Nephilim
Paranormal investigator and author Scotty Roberts his research into the Nephilim and their origins. He explained that his investigation of the infamous entities focused on the language of the original Hebrew texts where they are described. As such, he dismissed the popular notion that the Nephilim were "fallen angels," since the entities are never given that moniker. Rather, they are said to be the result of a union between "watchers" and humans. Roberts theorized that the creation of the Nephilim could be traced all the way back to the Garden of Eden and a dalliance between Eve and an entity metaphorically called a "serpent." As to the origins of these "visitors" who played a hand in creating the Nephilim, he acknowledged that they could have been spiritual beings, "minor Gods," or even extraterrestrials. Ultimately, Roberts said, these Nephilim are blamed for corrupting the human race by sharing forbidden knowledge with them, a theme appears in many creation stories. In light of this corruption, he surmised, the great flood of Noah's Ark lore was orchestrated not to punish the corrupt humans, but to wipe away the presence of the Nephilim on Earth. However, Roberts suggested that the Nephilim may still be on the planet as what we call "demons." He cited a passage in the book of Enoch which says that the "spirits" of the Nephilim that died in the flood remained on Earth in a ghostly form to "wreak the same havoc, from a spirit form, on humanity that they wreaked while in ...

Atlantis A2a Deluge
This is the video for episode A2a, The Deluge. A video of the Atlantis of Hellas, the episode positions the volcanic eruption of Thera within the historical setting of the Greek myths. The great deluge of Greek myth is explained by having an origin in the tsunami waves from the island volcano. The mythic re-creation of the world at the start of the Olympian reign of Zeus comes after the deluge and the submergence of Atlantis. Pandora and her daughter Pyrrha give life and hope and misery to a new world that rises from the ruins of the Titan Sea Empire.

Fallen Angels : 12000 Year Old Ancient Texts Deciphered
Howard West, the author of Quicksilver Key, shared his research into ancient manuscripts and the "Watchers." Some texts, from the Dead Sea Scrolls for example, were copied over from earlier manuscripts and actually date back as far as 10500 BC based on celestial descriptions, he contended. The Watchers or fallen angels were a group of 200 who came from Mars, said West-- they taught humankind various abilities such as how to use mirrors for Morse Code-like communications to others at distant locations. These entities have been called by many names (such as Thor, Mercury, and Lucifer) across many civilizations, West stated. The offspring of the Watchers (who mated with human females) became spiritual outcasts after they died, and we know them today as the Greys and Shadow People, he added. Biography: Howard West is a jack of all trades though he is a master of one, that of unraveling ancient texts, parables and the mysteries hidden within. He has found two ancient texts written by three men that have been dated to 12500 years ago. Those texts were dateable by the star charts hidden within the parables of the text. Also hidden in those texts was the means to keep those texts accurate for over 12000 years. Howard has had a varied career from programming computers to traveling 6000 miles at two miles per hour with his wife behind six little BLM burros. Howard is also the author of Quicksilver Key and through that book he hopes to share the mysteries of the ancients from alchemy ...

THE GREAT DELUGE OF 2370 BC NOAH'S FLOOD (Introduction To True Bible Story)
Here is a little film that I made on this ancient cataclysmic event which occurred almost 4400 years ago. This event is recorded in the first book of the bible, Genesis. This event happened for real and there is much evidence for it in the myths of different varied cultures throughout the world which harmonize with each other in many aspects. Many place names throughout the world such as cities of the ancient world were named after descendants of Noah and his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth of whose names can be found in the Bible. One such example Mizraim, a grandson of Noah, was the ancient (or alternative) name for Egypt.
