NATIONAL ANTHEM OF Rhodesia
Rhodesia was the common name of the erstwhile British colony of Southern Rhodesia between the renaming of Northern Rhodesia as Zambia in 1964 and the establishment of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia in 1979. After a brief return to colonial status as Southern Rhodesia from 1979 to 1980 the country became the independent nation of Zimbabwe in April 1980. The country was landlocked and located in southern Africa. Predominantly white Settler Governments governed the country until 1979, initially as a self governing colony then, after the Unilateral Declaration of Independence as a self-proclaimed sovereign Dominion and latterly a Republic. The colony was named after Cecil Rhodes, whose British South Africa Company acquired the land in the nineteenth century. The colony gained international recognition of its independence in 1980 as the Republic of Zimbabwe. Before 1964 the name "Rhodesia" referred to the territory of modern Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Unofficial national anthem/Our Zimbabwe: This land our land, is our Zimbabwe, a land of peace for you and me. Once born in pain and segregation but now we live in harmony. Now flies the flag, our nation's glory, we'll live with pride inside our hearts As we all stand to build our nation, this is our land, our Zimbabwe.Though I may go to distant borders, my sould will yearn for this my home For time and space may separate us and yet she holds my heart alone. Now flies the flag, my nation's glory, I'll live with pride inside my heart.I'll make a stand to build my nation, this is my land, my Zimbabwe. Now flies the flag our nation's glory, we'll live with pride inside our hearts As we all stand to build our nation, this is our land, our Zimbabwe. We've been through it all, we've had our days, we've had our falls Now the time has come for us to stand, to stand as one.The night has gone and with the morning come rays of hope that lead us on So we will strive to give our children a brighter day where they belong. Muslimgauze - Rhodesia (Red Madrassa)
Rhodesia, officially the Republic of Rhodesia from 1970, was an unrecognized state located in southern Africa that existed between 1965 and 1979 following its Unilateral Declaration of Independence from the United Kingdom on 11 November 1965. With its government based at the former colonial capital of Salisbury, its territory consisted of the former British colony of Southern Rhodesia. The state was named after Cecil John Rhodes, whose British South Africa Company acquired the land in the nineteenth century. The landlocked country bordered South Africa to the south, Botswana (post-1966) to the southwest, Zambia to the northwest and Mozambique (Portuguese East Africa until 1975) to the east. The state was governed by a predominantly white minority government until 1979, initially as a self-governing colony then, after the Unilateral Declaration of Independence as a self-proclaimed sovereign Dominion and latterly a Republic. Throughout its history, Rhodesia continued to be referred to by the British, who did not recognize the state, as "Southern Rhodesia". Before 1964, the name "Rhodesia" had referred to the territory of modern Zambia and Zimbabwe; however, when the former colony of Northern Rhodesia renamed itself Zambia on independence in 1964, the colony of Southern Rhodesia changed its name to simply "Rhodesia". However, the change had not yet been officially ratified when Rhodesia declared itself independent, and as a result, the British Government continued to refer ...

Hi Passengers ! Zimbabwe Rhodesia (pronounced /zɪmˈbɑːbweɪ roʊˈdiːʒə/), officially the Republic of Zimbabwe Rhodesia, was an unrecognized state that existed from 1 June 1979 to 12 December 1979. Zimbabwe Rhodesia was preceded by the unrecognized Republic of Rhodesia and was briefly followed by the re-established British colony of Southern Rhodesia. Legally, the colony had never officially ceased to exist. About three months later, the re-established colony of Southern Rhodesia declared its independence as the Republic of Zimbabwe. Kimberley Club - Northern Cape
The Kimberley Club was founded in August 1881, by Cecil John Rhodes, then only 28 years of age. It was on the veranda of this club that he worked on most of his ideas, including the colonization of the land north and south of the Zambezi River, then named in his honour as Northern- and Southern Rhodesia. Today these are the countries of Zambia and Zimbabwe. The billiard room of the club was the setting for the famous deal between Barney Barnato and Rhodes in 1881, whereby Rhodes acquired Barnato's share of the Kimberley diggings for just over four million pounds, the single biggest check written in that time.

South Africa
"Die Stem van Suid-Afrika" During the Weltkrieg South African troops invaded German South-West Africa and by July 1915 occupied every part of it. However, by the agreements of the 1921 Peace With Honour, they had to return it to Germany. On December 27, 1922 the British colony of Southern Rhodesia was incorporated into South Africa after a referendum where the Southern Rhodesian electorate, nervous of potential German expansionism in the region, voted by a narrow margin to join South Africa. Following the events of the 1925 British Revolution South African troops quickly occupied the British Bechuanaland Protectorate, but South Africa had to leave the other African regions of the British Empire in German hands (later included in Mittelafrika). The 1921 South African general election saw the South African Party lead by Jan Smuts achieve an absolute majority. However, in 1924 the rising discontent with his government led to his defeat by a coalition of the pro-Afrikaner National Party and the socialist South African Labour Party. James Hertzog, the leader of the National Party and once a Boer general, became the new President of South Africa. Hertzog encouraged the development of the Afrikaner culture and was determined to protect the Afrikaner from British influence. This led to increasing tension between South Africa and the British Empire which culminated in South Africa leaving the Entente in February 1925, a decision that has been heavily contested after much of the ...

National Anthem of Rhodesia (1974 - 1979)
Rhodesia was an unrecognised state located in southern Africa that existed between 1965 and 1979 following its Unilateral Declaration of Independence from the United Kingdom on 11 November 1965. With its government based at the former colonial capital of Salisbury, its territory consisted of the former British colony of Southern Rhodesia. The state was named after Cecil John Rhodes, whose British South Africa Company acquired the land in the 19th century. Rise O Voices of Rhodesia was adopted as the national anthem of Rhodesia in 1974. The tune was that of the "Ode to Joy" from Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 ("The Choral Symphony"). The words were written by Mary Bloom. Lyrics: Rise O voices of Rhodesia, God may we thy bounty share, Give us strength to face all danger, And where challenge is, to dare. Guide us, Lord, to wise decision, Ever of thy grace aware. Oh, let our hearts beat bravely always For this land within thy care. Rise O voices of Rhodesia, Bringing her your proud acclaim, Grandly echoing through the mountains Rolling over far flung plain Roaring in the mighty rivers Joining in one grand refrain Ascending to the sunlit heavens Telling of her honoured name

Formerly Rhodesia.mp4
Zimbabwe officially the Republic of Zimbabwe and formerly Southern Rhodesia. It is a landlocked country located in the southern part of the African continent, between the Zambezi an Limpopo rivers. It is bordered by South Africa to the south, Botswana to the southwest, Zambia to the northwest and Mozambique to the east. President Robert Mugabe is the head of State and Commander in Chief of the armed forces. Morgan Tsvangirai is the Prime Minister. Mugabe has been in power since Zimbabe's recognized independence in 1980. Harare is the capital. Victoria Falls is a town in the province of Matabeleland, North Zimbabwe. It lies on the southern bank of the Zambezi River. Victoria Falls Airport is 18 km south of the town and has international services to Johannesburg and Namibia. The settlement began in 1901 when the possibility of using the waterfall for hydro-electric power was explored, and expanded when the railway from Bulawayo reached the town shortly before the Victoria Falls Bridge was opened in April 1905, connecting Zimbabwe to what is now Zambia. It became the principal tourism centre for the Falls, experiencing economic booms from the 1930s to the 1960s and in the 1980s and early 1990s. Since the late 1990s, due to Zimbabwe's political and economic unrest, the primary tourism base for the Falls has moved mostly across the border to Livingstone, Zambia.

Trachtenburg Family - Military Open Mic Night (2006)
The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players can make a song about anything. Anything?! Anything! Like this time when they were faced with the dilemma of creating a song based a collection of 1970's Rhodesian "Red Scare" Propaganda Slides. (add wavy lines and dreamy music here.) The former British colony of (Southern) Rhodesia was originally a white minority ruled Southern African country until a long fought Chimurenge ("rebellion" in Zimbabwes native language, Shona.) with the ZANU (Zimbabwe African National Union) in April 1980 Rhodesia became The Republic of Zimbabwe.

Interview: Zimbabwe Ambassador
LaRouche Show Interview: Zimbabwe Ambassador Mapuranga For information on the British destablization efforts against africa visit: larouchepac.com Zimbabwe's Ambassador to the US, Dr. Machivenyika Mapuranga, was the featured guest on the LaRouche Show Saturday, April 12. In dialogue with EIR's Lawrence Freeman and Portia Tarumbwa Strid, Ambassador Mapuranga provided the historical backdrop to the current British power play in Zimbabwe. Freeman reminded the audience that this is one of many British power plays and destabilizations around the globe today, as the Brits attempt to ensure their hold on power, now that their financial system has collapsed. Ambassador Mapuranga explained that the current delay in finalizing the presidential vote count in Zimbabwe is the result of numerous discrepancies between the results posted publicly at the 8000 polling places, and the tally sheets sent to Harare. He also referred to the tension created in the country by opposition leader and British tool Morgan Tsvangirai, who claims to have won the presidency -- without need for a runoff -- with 50.3% of the vote. His 50.3% is his unsupported claim, but {even if it were true}, 51% is needed to avoid a runoff, under the Constitution. Tsvangirai is steered and paid for by the British. This is no secret, Mapuranga said The three major British parties -- Conservative, Labour, and Liberal -- vie with each other in the size of their contributions to the relevant conduit, the Westminster ...
