Though the performance by Paul is extraordinary and the harmonies by George and John are razor sharp and as tight as they ever were The Beatles were rejected and another band now forgotten were signed. The song was written by Consuelito Velazquez who is a Mexican songwriter!

A group of secluded nuns near Avignon, France, have signed a major record deal with Lady Gaga's record label. Decca Records chose the nuns after a worldwide search for the best female Gregorian chant performers. The nuns of the Abbaye de Notre-Dame de l'Annonciation shone above 70 convents across the globe. The nuns can now call Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Amy Winehouse, U2 and convent-educated Lady GaGa herself - label-mates. The nuns are part of an ancient order, dating back to the 6th century. Sisters continue the tradition of talking with any visitors, even family, through a wooden grille to avoid intrusion from the outside world. Once vows have been taken to live in the convent, the sisters remain there for the rest of their lives. Ella Jane Fitzgerald (April 25, 1917 -- June 15, 1996), also known as the "First Lady of Song" and "Lady Ella," was an American jazz and song vocalist. "It's Only a Paper Moon" is a popular song. Published in 1933, it was written by Harold Arlen with lyrics by EY Harburg and Billy Rose. It was written originally for an unsuccessful Broadway play called The Great Magoo, set in Coney Island. It was subsequently used in the movie Take a Chance, in 1933, and Paul Whiteman recorded a successful version, sung by Peggy Healey. But its lasting fame stems from recordings of the song by popular artists during the last years of World War Two, when versions by Ella Fitzgerald and the Nat King Cole Trio became hugely popular. It has endured as a vehicle for improvisation by many jazz musicians. The Delta Rhythm Boys were an American vocal group active for over 50 years in the 20th century. The group was first formed at Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma in 1934 by Elmaurice Miller, Traverse Crawford, Essie Joseph Adkins and Otha Lee Gaines. In 1936 they moved to Dillard University in New Orleans, where they worked under Frederick Hall under the names New Orleans Quintet and Frederick Hall Quintet. UPDATED LINK! (Thanks to Todd5785): www.mediafire.com Download The Decca Audition Tapes Remastered By Me! For the 49th Anniversary of The Beatles doing an Audition to Decca, now Remastered. "Like Dreamers Do" is a song written by Paul McCartney in 1957. It was performed by the Beatles at their unsuccessful 1962 audition for Decca Records. In 1964 the track was recorded by The Applejacks. This was the first commercial release of the song. The single's music director was Mike Leander. It reached #20 on the UK Singles Chart. The Beatles version was later released on Anthology 1. Like all the other songs performed at the Decca and EMI auditions, it features Pete Best on drums. McCartney wasn't fond of the song and considered it a throwaway. Recordings of "Like Dreamers Do" as the Beatles may have performed it are available on the 1989 album by Bas Muys entitled Secret Songs: Lennon & McCartney and on the 1998 release It's Four You by the Australian tribute band The Beatnix. OPINION: Like Dreamers Do, it's a beautiful track, McCartney bad-Elvis imitation may be good for this song, along with a catchy rhythm of the guitars, and one of the very few good drummings of Pete Best.

November 29, 1932 - Decca Records F-3313 Albert Allick "Al" Bowlly (7 January 1898 -- 17 April 1941) was a popular Jazz guitarist, singer, and crooner in the United Kingdom and later in the United States of America during the 1930s, making more than 1000 recordings between 1927 and 1941. Bowlly showcased a diverse range of material unsurpassed by any contemporary other than perhaps Bing Crosby. He was also a truly international recording artist. He was killed by the explosion of a parachute mine outside his flat in Duke's Court, 32 Duke Street, St James, London during the Blitz.
