St. Elsewhere meets Cheers
One of the most bizarre crossovers in television history. Three of the doctors from St. Elsewhere visit a friendly neighborhood pub where "everybody knows your name". While there, they encounter an incompetant accountaint named Norm, a know-it-all mailman named Cliff, and a rude barmaid named Carla. This clip was taken from the Season Three finale of St. Elsewhere.

St. Elsewhere - The Mrs. Hufnagel Chronicles, Part 18
It's the end of the line for Mrs. Hufnagel (Florence Halop), St. Eligius's most frequent and bigoted patient, and it's also a classic St. Elsewhere moment--she dies folded up in her malfunctioning hospital bed. An autopsy reveals that while the bed didn't help matters, her mitral papillary muscle had ruptured. Her surgeon Dr. Mark Craig (William Daniels) must face the truth of what happened. This episode earned William Daniels an Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 1985.
With Jennifer Savidge, Ed Begley Jr., Eric Laneuville, Denzel Washington, Ed Flanders, Norman Lloyd, Kavi Raz, Sagan Lewis, and Cynthia Sikes.

St. Elsewhere - The Mrs. Hufnagel Chronicles, Part 5
In her fifth appearance on St. Elsewhere, Dr. Auschlander (Norman Lloyd) is showing his new assistant (Kate Randolph Burns) around the hospital, when Mrs. Hufnagel (Florence Halop) offers the new hire her own version of what St. Eligius is like. Her stories offer a round-up of what's happened in the first two seasons of the show.

St. Elsewhere - The Mrs. Hufnagel Chronicles, Part 17
In the episode "Amazing Face", Mrs. Hufnagel has been re-assigned yet again, this time to short-tempered Chief of Surgery, Dr. Mark Craig (William Daniels). He gets a taste of her brand of medicine: she knows about his problems with his brother and his wife, and has been snooping around his office.
She tries to summon the spirit of Murray Robbin for advice, and agrees to proceed with the surgery, but decides to check out the product before she buys. Later, Drs. Wade and Ehrlich (Sagan Lewis and Ed Begley, Jr.) try to make a case for why they shouldn't be selected to perform her surgery, but both get the nod. During the procedure, Ehrlich feels that Wade is getting preferential treatment, and his complaints distract Dr. Craig. Afterwards, the staff is relieved to know she won't be able to speak for a while.

St. Elsewhere - The Mrs. Hufnagel Chronicles, Part 3
Mrs. Hufnagel (Florence Halop) tries to get something done about her stolen pair of slippers while Nurse Shirley Daniels (Ellen Bry) and Dr. Elliott Axelrod (Stephen Furst) try to stay on top of things. Included is the segue into the next scene, from the episode "Strikeout" -- in St. Elsewhere style, the continuous shot runs 34 seconds before cutting away.

St. Elsewhere - The Mrs. Hufnagel Chronicles, Part 16
In the episode "Red, White, Black and Blue", Mrs. Hufnagel is back at St. Eligius for the sixth time, this time with signs of myocardial infarction. Dr. Jacqueline Wade (Sagan Lewis) admits her, and when Director of Medicine Dr. Donald Westphall (Ed Flanders) reviews the case, he discovers a history of medical mismanagement that has made the patient seriously ill. Disappointed with his staff, he takes over the case himself, but when Hufnagel pulls no punches with her assessment of him and his hospital, he learns why she's been passed from doctor to doctor.
