Stewart Lee Udall (January 31, 1920 – March 20, 2010) was an American politician. After serving three terms as a congressman from Arizona, he served as Secretary of the Interior from 1961 to 1969, under Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson.
Born January 31, 1920, in Saint Johns, Arizona, to Levi Stewart Udall (1891–1960) and Louisa Lee Udall (1893–1974), he had five siblings: Inez, Elma, Morris, Eloise, and David Burr. As a young boy Stewart worked on the family farm in St. Johns. Stewart was remembered by his mother as a child with tremendous energy and an unquenchable curiosity.
Stewart Udall attended the University of Arizona for two years until World War II. He served four years in the Air Force as an enlisted gunner on a B-24 Liberator, flying fifty missions over Western Europe from Italy with the 736th Bomb Squadron, 454th Bomb Group, for which he received the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. He returned to the University of Arizona in 1946, where he played guard on a championship basketball team and attended law school. In 1947, Udall, along with his brother Mo, helped integrate the University of Arizona cafeteria. Mo and Stewart were respected student athletes (and Mo was student body president) at the time. On their way to lunch at the Student Union one day, they saw a group of black students eating their lunch outside. Black students were allowed to buy food in the cafeteria but had to eat outside. They invited a black freshman, Morgan Maxwell Jr., to share their table in the cafeteria, helping calm some long simmering racial issues surrounding segregation at the University.
Thomas Stewart "Tom" Udall (born May 18, 1948) is the junior United States Senator from New Mexico and a member of the Democratic Party. He had represented New Mexico's 3rd congressional district as a member of the United States House of Representatives since 1999. Udall was elected as the junior United States senator from New Mexico on November 4, 2008, defeating Congressman Steve Pearce. He is expected to become the state's senior senator when Jeff Bingaman retires from the Senate in January 2013.
Udall was born in Tucson, Arizona, the son of Ermalee Lenora (née Webb) and Stewart Udall, who was Secretary of the Interior from 1961 to 1969. He attended Prescott College, graduating with a pre-law degree in 1970. In 1975, he graduated from Cambridge University in England with a Bachelor of Law degree. That fall, he enrolled in the University of New Mexico School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1977.
After graduating, Udall was Law Clerk to Chief Judge Oliver Seth of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. His legal career then included appointments as Assistant US Attorney in the criminal division and Chief Counsel to the Department of Health and Environment. A partnership followed in the Miller Law Firm.
Mark Emery Udall (born July 18, 1950) is the senior United States Senator from Colorado and a member of the Democratic Party. From 1999 to 2009, Udall served in the United States House of Representatives, representing Colorado's 2nd congressional district. He also served a term in the Colorado House of Representatives.
Born in Tucson, Arizona, he is the son of former U.S. Representative Morris "Mo" Udall. The Udall family is one of America's more prolific political families. Mark Udall graduated from Williams College in 1972 and moved to Colorado. He worked at the Colorado Outward Bound School for 20 years, including ten years as the school's executive director. He was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives in 1996. After one term he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, where he served five terms and worked on energy and national resources.
Udall won a competitive election for the U.S. Senate in 2008, defeating Republican challenger Bob Schaffer. He chairs the Senate Energy Subcommittee on National Parks. Udall is a prolific mountaineer and was featured in Men's Journal magazine for his athletic abilities.
Martin T. Heinrich (born October 17, 1971) is the U.S. Representative for New Mexico's 1st congressional district, serving since 2009. He is a member of the Democratic Party. The district includes the central area of the state, in and around Albuquerque.
Heinrich was born in Fallon, Nevada, the son of Shirley A. (née Bybee) and Pete C. Heinrich. Heinrich graduated from the University of Missouri in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree in Science and Engineering, and later took graduate courses at the University of New Mexico. He served as Executive Director of the Cottonwood Gulch Foundation, a New Mexico non-profit organization dedicated to educating young people on natural science and the environment, and founded his own public affairs consulting firm.
Heinrich served on the Albuquerque City Council from 2003 to 2007, which included one term as City Council President in 2006. As a city councilman, he stated that his goals were to reduce crime, raise the minimum wage and create new jobs. He also advocated the use of wind and solar power. In February 2006, he was appointed by Governor Bill Richardson to be the state's Natural Resources Trustee.
Harry Teague (born June 29, 1949) is the former U.S. Representative for New Mexico's 2nd congressional district, serving from 2009 until 2011. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
The district is located in the southern part of the state and includes Hobbs, Roswell, Carlsbad, Las Cruces and the southern fourth of Albuquerque.
Teague grew up in an impoverished family of sharecroppers and lived the first nine years of his life in rural central Oklahoma without running water. His family moved to Hobbs, New Mexico when he was nine years old. He attended Hobbs High School but dropped out at the age of 17 to work in the oil fields to support his sick parents. He is married to Nancy Teague and has two children and five grandchildren. Teague is a small business owner of a company that now employs 250 people and is a member of the New Mexico Oil and Gas Association.
Teague was elected as a Democrat to the Republican-controlled Lea County Board of Commissioners. He served on the Board for eight years, and was elected chairman by his fellow Board members for three and a half of those years.
Well my worn-out boots are taking me downtown
and I'm looking for trouble and I wanna get loud.
Serve me up a drink and I'll shoot it right down
and I'll jump up on the bar and holler 'One more round!'
I'm going straight to hell
Ain't nothing slowin' me down
I'm going straight to hell
so you just better get me one more round!
Well back in the day with my uncle Jed,
he kept a lot of moonshine out in the shed.
He taught me how to drink - how to be real proud
of my hillbilly ways and my outlaw style.
I'm going straight to hell
Ain't nothing stoppin' me now
I'm headin' straight to hell
so you just better get me one more round!
Well I'm racin' these backroads trying to save my life,
'cause the sherriff wants to kill me 'cause I fucked his wife.
Always on the run with a gun in my hand
'cause I like a good time and a one-night stand.
I'm going straight to hell
Ain't nothing slowin' me down
I'm going straight to hell
so you just better get me one more round!
Hear me, what I've got to say
I know you and get you anyway
See me walking by your side
I'm with you forever day and night
Hey man, I'm your worst choice
You don't know, I want it so
Hey man, I'm your dark voice
You don't know where we will go
Straight to hell, straight to hell
Listen, listen what you say
I've taught you and you have learned your lesson
Feel me, when you feel the pain
I want you and I am going to get you.. anyway
I look like the easy way
The truth to be found
I seem to be innocent
I'm coming around, I'm coming around
I'm your worst choice
You don't know, I want it so
Hey man, I'm your dark voice
You don't know where we will go
You don't know where we will go
Straight to hell, straight to hell
I look like the easy way
The truth to be found
I seem to be innocent
I'm coming around, I'm coming around
I'm your worst choice
You don't know, I want it so
Hey man, I'm your dark voice
You don't know where we will go
You don't know where we will go
The sky's swirling black
And choking fog blots out the sun
The last echo is silenced
New dark age has begun
The countdown was final
Red button ran out of control
No deposits required
Paradise won't take your soul
A living hell for the stumbling few
Paying the price for the likes of you
A living hell for the stumbling few
Paying the price for the likes of you
The once green Earth
Is scattered with horror and gray
No winners, just losers
Who die with a few months delay
The countdown was final
Red button ran out of control
No deposits required
Paradise won't take your soul
A living hell for the stumbling few
Paying the price for the likes of you
A living hell for the stumbling few
Paying the price for the likes of you
Man's not immortal
Despite killers bunkered so deep
A voice in the darkness
Warned against blind folded leap
A living hell for the stumbling few
Paying the price for the likes of you
A living hell for the stumbling few
Paying the price for the likes of you
A living hell for the stumbling few
Paying the price for the likes of you
A living hell for the stumbling few
If you can play on the fiddle
How's about a British jig and reel?
Speaking King's English in quotation
As railhead towns feel the steel mills rust water froze
In the generation
Clear as winter ice
This is your paradise
There ain't no need for ya
Go straight to hell boys
Y'wanna join in a chorus
Of the Amerasian blues?
When it's Christmas out in Ho Chi Minh City
Kiddie say papa papa papa papa-san take me home
See me got photo photo
Photograph of you
Mamma Mamma Mamma-san
Of you and Mamma Mamma Mamma-san
Lemme tell ya 'bout your blood bamboo kid.
It ain't Coca-Cola it's rice.
Straight to hell
Oh Papa-san
Please take me home
Oh Papa-san
Everybody they wanna go home
So Mamma-san says
You wanna play mind-crazed banjo
On the druggy-drag ragtime U.S.A.?
In Parkland International
Hah! Junkiedom U.S.A.
Where procaine proves the purest rock man groove
and rat poison
The volatile Molatov says-PSSST...
HEY CHICO WE GOT A MESSAGE FOR YA...
VAMOS VAMOS MUCHACHO
FROM ALPHABET CITY ALL THE WAY A TO Z, DEAD, HEAD
Go straight to hell
Can you really cough it up loud and strong
The immigrants
They wanna sing all night long
It could be anywhere
Most likely could be any frontier
Any hemisphere
No man's land and there ain't no asylum here
King Solomon he never lived round here
Go straight to hell boys
If you can play on the fiddle
How's about a British reel?
Speaking in quotation
As railhead towns feel the steel water froze

Go straight to hell boys
Straight to hell boys

And Mamma-san
Oh Papa-san take me home
Oh take me home

Go straight to hell boys
Go straight to hell boys
Straight to hell boys
Oh mmmmm
Can you cough it up loud and strong
The immigrants
They wanna sing all night long
It could be anywhere
Could be any hemisphere
And no man's land and there ain't no asylum here
King Solomon he never lived round here
Go straight to hell boys
Go straight to hell boys
Straight to hell
Straight to hell
Love me now while we're alive
It's the best thing we can do
We'll have no time upon Cloud Nine
So Heaven on Earth will have to do
I can sing like a bird
And dance like a demon
And I do it all so well
'Cause I made a deal with the Devil
And when I die
I'm going Straight to Hell
Oh Yeah
I'm going Straight to Hell
Standing at the Crossroads
He offered wine women and song
Riches, Fame and Fortune
In my hands from that day on
I was granted there and then
A life of Rock and Roll
It seemed like such a bargain
For just one eternal soul
I know I'll curse this damned decision
And I'll regret it the moment I fall
But I'll be making the most
of a bad situation
Till my number is called
Sometimes I swear I've come out on top
In this ill conceived contract
There's nights I say
it's a small price to pay
For the life and times I've had
I think "Here's to the Gents and Ladies
And the foolish times we spent
They cost me Afterlife in Paradise
And they were worth every single cent"
So have a dance
with the walking damned
Before my time is done
A deal is a deal and I really doubt
Fire and Brimstone will be much fun
I have every expectation
That my final prayers will go unheard
And my veiled death bed confession
Will not move the Mighty Lord
I'm sure that I'll be sorry
When he slams St. Peter's Gate
But I'll dive right into damnation
If you can play on the fiddle
How's about a British jig and reel?
Speaking King's English in quotation

In the generation
Clear as winter ice
This is your paradise

I grew up just west of the tracks
Holdin' me to hold you back
around your door just callin' out my name
She said "son why don't you go outside
I got a man comin' over tonight"
seventh one in seven days
So I go down to the parkin' lot
to hang around with all my friends
and roam the streets 'til dawn breaks again
I come in at 5 a.m. and she is waiting for me
she said "where have you been?" i said "i was out"
she said "she said you're no good 'cause you're runnin' without love"
'Cause I'm goin' straight to hell
yeah, just like my momma said
'cause I'm goin' straight to hell
A black widow and the lady's man
we met down the laundry mat
and tried to make me understand
The neighbors were all in a stir
about what they might have heard
and runnin' down they shouted out it seems
Well next door a girl she lives
about the same age as me
and asked me to come upstairs for a see
And just then her mother bursts in
she said "you're that son of a bitch in the wind,
get out of my house and hit the road"
and I kept fallin' like a rollin' stone
'Cause I'm goin' straight to hell
yeah, just like my momma said
'cause I'm goin' straight to hell
I'm goin' straight to hell
yeah, just like my momma said
'cause I'm goin' straight to hell
The stars came out and they warmed me so
as I walked on down the road
50 bucks and a suitcase steered me clear
She took my hand as we walked into the sun
A new day's promise had begun
"We'll make it alone whether you like it or not"
I turned around and shouted "HELP ME MOTHER!"
'Cause I'm goin' straight to hell

This city we ride like devils in the night
Harlots and dragons, crowns and thorns
This city we ride with hell hounds by our side
We thrash to live, we live to thrash
Let's go the only way we know
You don't stay, Straight to Hell
Save me 'cause the hounds of hell do bite
There's nothing left to reconcile
A mirror desire is a mirror on fire
This game we play like demons in a parade
Now we ride a fucking charade
Thirty sharks, sixty wolves and a fat lady in red
Before the night is over we are fucking dead
Let's go the only way we know
You don't stay, Straight to Hell
Save me 'cause the hounds of hell do bite
There's nothing left to reconcile
A mirror desire is a mirror on fire
Let all hell break loose
In a Crystal Lake scenery
Come dance with me
My misery
There's nothing left
Tear into a trip where they dance all night forever
What do you do if you can't get back to heaven?
You like to watch, but you never play
Roll the dice if you're gonna stay
C'mon what you gonna do?
C'mon it's up to you
Take me
Take me
Take me
We're going straight to hell
Straight to hell
Straight to hell
We're going straight to hell
Come along
Yeah we're so alive loaded up and running
Don't it get you high you know you're never leaving?
If it starts, it never stops
Take it all, don't look back
Let's go, nothing you can do
Let's go, nothing to lose
Take me
Take me
Take me
We're going straight to hell
Straight to hell
Straight to hell
We're going straight to hell
We're going straight to hell
Straight to hell
Straight to hell
Straight to hell
We're going straight to hell
Straight to hell

Sweepin' through another year and we're pickin up speed never
Gonna give it up definitely. Take it to another level - grab the shovel
And scoop the rest out of my way. Giddy like a school boy
Got the tools, boy - never play the unemployed. Comin' with
Velocity with the needles in the red - think i lost my sanity
Straight to hell - that's where I sent'em
Straight to hell - that's where I sent'em
Straight to hell - that's where I sent'em
Straight to hell
Here we come again - bring another jam, with the mic in my hand
Yeah you know we slam. Moving forward with momentum
Straight to hell, that's where we sent'em. Sometimes freaky
Sometimes we get nice - if feels good sometimes we do it twice
Or three times or four times or five or six. REWIND! The tape
Get me back in the mix.. We'd like to thank our friends for a hell of
A time, we hope it never ends. Crack a little smile when it's time to get
high
Straight to hell - that's where I sent'em
Straight to hell - that's where I sent'em
Straight to hell - that's where I sent'em
Straight to hell
Allow me to illustrate, and paint the perfect picture of the perfect
perpetrator
Make me look down on the up stroke, cause I got no love for the evil
Imitator. I live to hear the people yellin' and screamin' and clappin' and
Toe tappin'. Ain't gonna be no gum flappin'. To shun - To shun...
To just turn away.
Straight to hell - that's where I sent'em
Straight to hell - that's where I sent'em
Straight to hell - that's where I sent'em
The heat is rising, the time is here
the real edification
we're a million dreams, and all its fears
that's the core of this creation

we're comming straigt outta hell
the bursting of the universe
the noiz when worlds collide
we're the eristic propheds in this modern curse
of time we don't confide
in the midnite hour, we rise and come alive
this is the journey of our odyssey
1, 2, 3, 4
we're coming straight outta hell
we're coming straight outta hell
we're coming straight outta hell
my clothes dont fit me and my friends dont like me
and this furniture is giving me a rash
i don't have credit and i know i'll never get it
and i'm pretty sure i'll end up all alone
im gonna be drunk and flat broke
im gonna be tired, old and bitter
and really messed up
cos this behaviour is gonna get me nowhere (x4)
but straight to hell, oh yeah

self esteem has hit an all time low
the drugs dont thrill me and my life's about to kill me
and i'm pretty sure i'll end up all alone

and really messed up
cos this behaviour is gonna get me nowhere (x4)

im gonna be tired, old and bitter
and really messed up
cos this behaviour is gonna get me nowhere (x4)

Waking from another nightmare
It's so hard to tell
Dreams are turning real and there's a blood bath
Straight to hell
I can - see what's happening
I know - almost everything
I can tell - when I'm imagining
Why can't I - remember anything?
Waking from another nightmare
It's so hard to tell
Dreams are turning real and there's a blood bath
Straight to hell
I'm told - I'm a psycopath
? - I'll be in a paper?
Killing - somehow clears my mind
Willing - to do a little more each time
Waking from another nightmare
It's so hard to tell
Dreams are turning real and there's a blood bath
Straight to hell
Never knowing if I'm really in reality
Never can tell if I am still asleep
Never knowing if I'm really in reality
Never can tell if I am still asleep
Never knowing if I need to - blame
Never to feel remorse or - shame
I never can remember what I do
I can't stop coming after you
Waking from another nightmare
It's so hard to tell
Dreams are turning real and there's a blood bath
Straight to hell
Waking from another nightmare
It's so hard to tell
Dreams are turning real and there's a blood bath
