Joshua Neil "Josh" Farro (born September 29, 1987) is an American rock guitarist and songwriter best known as the former lead guitarist and backing vocalist of the alternative rock band Paramore. He is currently the lead vocalist and guitarist of the self-named band Farro.
Farro was born in Voorhees Township, New Jersey on September 29, 1987. He is the second-oldest of his other four siblings, including former Paramore drummer Zac Farro. Farro is three quarters Italian. He is a self-taught guitarist, and began playing when he was 13 years old.
Along with his younger brother Zac, Josh Farro was a founding member of Paramore serving as the band's lead guitarist and backing vocalist from 2004 until his exit in late 2010. Farro also co-wrote almost every track on Paramore's first three albums with Hayley Williams and occasionally Taylor York.
On December 21, 2010, a blog appeared online claiming to be an official exit statement from the Farro brothers. The blog entry refuted statements made by Paramore's official website regarding the brothers' departure and was heavily critical of Hayley Williams, her family, Atlantic Records and Fueled by Ramen.
White Flag
Written by: Josh Auer
Hey it isn’t ok
To raise the white flag this round
And hey we’re all to blame
We’re held slave to our choices
Ignoring the voices
Yeah we’ve got much to learn
Ooo Ooo
We’ve got much to learn
Hey this isn’t a game
It’s a full house you’re dealing with
And the thoughts that float in your head
Will soon be on your shoulders
We’re getting older
But we’ve got much to learn
Ooo Ooo
We’ve got much to learn
Love won’t stand by forever
And watch us destroy it
Love won’t stand by
Yeah we’ve got much to learn
Oh we’ve got much to learn
We’ve got much to learn
