The Raconteurs - Steady, as She Goes (Live at Montreux 2008)
The Raconteurs were formed in 2005 by Jack White of The White Stripes, acclaimed solo artist Brendan Benson and drummer Patrick Keeler and bassist Jack Lawrence from The Greenhornes. store.eagle-rock.com Get your hands on a copy. Their debut album "Broken Boy Soldiers" charted at No.2 in the UK and follow up "Consolers Of The Lonely" went in at No.8. Both albums were also Top 10 in the USA. This performance from Montreux in 2008 was part of the tour in support of their second album. The setlist is split between songs from the two albums and includes covers of Terry Reid's "Rich Kid Blues" and the old Charley Jordan track "Keep It Clean". This is rough, tough rock 'n' roll with great tunes and even better guitar hooks performed by an outstanding live band.

The Raconteurs - Open Your Eyes
This song is from a limited vinyl edition single(2012) It was composed for "Consolers of the lonely", in Jack White's words "'Open Your Eyes' sounds like a hit. Seems like it could've been released as a single and I can't remember why it didn't make the album" Lyrics Better open your eyes, uncover your ears You might notice something Because of all of your lies over the years You've been missing something You've been missing something Lost forever, gone for good And there's nothing you can do It comes together as it should And in the end it's only you Standing alone, taking it in Not sure how it ends or whatever begins You never listen to your head, somebody does that for you You don't even watch your hands, just someone will hold them for you You never listen to your head, somebody did that for you You don't even need your hands, just someone will hold them for you When the feeling goes away and you left with nothing Everything you think to say doesn't matter anymore Nothing matters anymore In a stale and musty room when you're old and no one cares. Underneath fluorescent plume Only cold and faithless stares All an allusion, all of the time Everything perfectly all in a line You never listen to your head, somebody does that for you You don't even watch your hands, just someone will hold them for you You never listen to your head, somebody did that for you You don't even need your hands, just someone will hold them for you And by huff and by foot to the ash and the soot ...

The Greenhornes Interview At ExploreMusic
Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence of The Greenhornes stop by for a chat with ExploreMusic's Ira Haberman. The Greenhornes are an American garage rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, formed in 1996 by vocalist/guitarist Craig Fox, bass guitarist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler. They have released released 3 full length albums, an ep and many singles. While on a band hiatus, Lawrence and Keeler formed The Raconteurs with Detroit musicians and personal friends Jack White and Brendan Benson. In 2010, the band reunited once again to record a studio album, Four Stars. They are currently on tour. www.exploremusic.com
