Donald E. Freeman (born July 18, 1944) is an American former professional basketball player. He spent eight seasons (1967–1975) in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and one season (1975–1976) in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the third round of the 1966 NBA Draft. Freeman never played for the Sixers; rather, he spent the first eight seasons of his career in the ABA, playing for the Minnesota Muskies, Miami Floridians, Texas/Dallas Chaparrals, Utah Stars, Indiana Pacers, and San Antonio Spurs. He scored 11,544 during his ABA career and appeared in five ABA All-Star Games. Freeman then joined the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers in 1975. He spent one season with that club, averaging 10.8 points per game before retiring in 1976.

Marlin Jim Davis (August 26, 1909 -- April 26, 1981) was an American actor, best known for his role as Jock Ewing in the CBS prime-time soap opera, Dallas, a role which continued until he was too ill from a terminal illness to perform.
Born as Marlin Jim Davis in Edgerton in Platte County in northwestern Missouri, he attended Baptist-affiliated William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.
His first major screen role was opposite Bette Davis in the 1948 melodrama Winter Meeting, a lavish failure for which he was lambasted in the press as being too inexperienced to play the part properly. His subsequent film career consisted of mostly B movies, many of them westerns, although he made an impression as a U.S. senator in the Warren Beatty conspiracy thriller The Parallax View.
In the episode "Little Washington" of the syndicated television series Death Valley Days, Davis portrayed a U.S. representative from Nevada with aspirations to become governor of the new state. Collectively, Davis appeared ten times on Death Valley Days.
From 1954-1955, Davis starred and narrated the syndicated western television series Stories of the Century. He portrayed Matt Clark, a detective for the Southwest Railroad who works to bring notorious gunfighters and outlaws to justice. His costars were Mary Castle and Kristine Miller. Stories of the Century was the first western series to win an Emmy Award. Among the historical figures featured were John Wesley Hardin, Sam Bass, Doc Holliday, the Dalton Brothers, the Younger Brothers, Belle Starr, Joaquin Murietta, L. H. Musgrove and Clay Allison.
From 1958-1960, Davis starred as Wes Cameron opposite Lang Jeffries in the role of Skip Johnson in the syndicated adventure series Rescue 8. About this time, he guest starred on the syndicated crime drama, U.S. Marshal, starring John Bromfield.
Davis made two guest appearances on Perry Mason; as George Tabor in the season 6 episode of "The Case of the Fickle Filly.", and as murder victim Joe Farrell in the 1964, season 8 episode of "The Case of a Place Called Midnight." He also appeared on the Jack Lord adventure series, Stoney Burke.
Davis appeared eleven times on Gunsmoke and four times each on Daniel Boone, Wagon Train and Laramie. In the next-to-the-last Laramie episode, entitled "Trapped" (May 14, 1963), he guest starred along with Tommy Sands, Claude Akins, and Mona Freeman.[1] In the story line, Slim Sherman (John Smith) finds an injured female kidnap victim in the woods (Freeman). Dennis Holmes, as series regular Mike Williams, rides away to seek help, but the kidnappers reclaim the hostage. Slim pursues the kidnappers but is mistaken as a third kidnapper by the girl's father (Barton MacLane). Sands plays the girl's boyfriend, who had been ordered by her father to stop seeing her.[2] He also appeared in an episode of High Chaparral and in a small role in the 1971 John Wayne vehicle Big Jake.
In 1974, he starred as Marshal Bill Winter in a short-lived ABC western series The Cowboys, based on a 1972 film of the same name starring John Wayne.
After years of relatively low-profile roles, Davis was cast as family patriarch Jock Ewing on Dallas, which debuted in 1978.
During season four, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma but continued to film the show as long as he could. In many scenes as the season progressed, he was shown seated. He wore a hairpiece to cover the hair he'd lost from chemotherapy. A season four storyline regarding the Takapa development and Jock's separation from Miss Ellie was ended abruptly at the end of season four. The writers depicted the couple leaving to go on an extended second honeymoon (their departure in a limousine in the episode "New Beginnings" was Davis's only scene in that episode and his final appearance on the show) when it became obvious that Davis could no longer continue to work. He died of complications from his illness while season four was being aired.
The writers made the decision not to write his death into the Dallas storyline right away. Initially, plans were made to replace him with another actor but were dropped because of audience awareness and because no suitable actor could be found for the role to be recast.
His character remained offscreen for thirteen episodes after Davis' death, with the storyline that he was in South America drilling for oil after taking care of Ewing Oil-related legislative business in Washington, D.C. The fifth season episode "The Search", which confirmed the character's death in a helicopter crash, was broadcast on January 8, 1982 and contained flashback scene's of the character.[3][4] A portrait of Davis in his role as Jock Ewing often appeared as a memorial on Dallas after his death.
From the late 1970s until his death, Davis was also a voice actor, in the commercials for the American Beef Council, voicing the slogan "Beef: It's what's for dinner". He was replaced by Robert Mitchum.[citation needed]

Dallas (/ˈdæləs/) is a major city in the state of Texas and is the largest urban center of the fourth most populous metropolitan area in the United States. The city proper ranks ninth in the U.S. and third in Texas after Houston and San Antonio. American Basketball Association–National Basketball Association merger
The ABA–NBA merger was the merger of the American Basketball Association (ABA) with the National Basketball Association (NBA), which after multiple attempts over several years occurred in 1976. The NBA and ABA had entered merger talks as early as 1970, but an antitrust suit filed by the head of the NBA players union, Robertson v. National Basketball Ass'n, blocked the merger until 1976.
As part of the merger agreement, the NBA agreed to accept four of the remaining six ABA teams: the Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, Indiana Pacers, and New York Nets. The remaining two ABA teams, the Spirits of St. Louis and Kentucky Colonels, folded, with their players entering a dispersal draft.
Early attempts at merger
From the very beginning, the ABA hoped to force a merger with the NBA, thus repeating the American Football League (AFL)'s successful effort to force a merger with the National Football League (NFL). According to The NBA Encyclopedia, ABA officials told prospective owners that they could get an ABA team for half of what it cost to get an NBA expansion team at the time. The upstart league's officials confidently predicted that if and when a merger occurred, the surviving owners would see their investment more than double.

San Antonio
San Antonio (/ˌsænænˈtoʊni.oʊ/ Spanish for "Saint Anthony"), officially the City of San Antonio, is the seventh most populated city in the United States of America and the second most populated city in the state of Texas, with a population of 1,409,019. It was the fastest growing of the top 10 largest cities in the United States from 2000 to 2010, and the second from 1990 to 2000. The city is located in the American Southwest, the south–central part of Texas, and the southwestern corner of an urban region known as the Texas Triangle.
San Antonio serves as the seat of Bexar County. Recent annexations have extended the city's boundaries into Medina County and, though for only a very tiny area near the city of Garden Ridge, into Comal County. The city has characteristics of other western urban centers in which there are sparsely populated areas and a low density rate outside of the city limits. San Antonio is the center of the San Antonio–New Braunfels Metropolitan Statistical Area. Commonly referred to as Greater San Antonio, the metropolitan area has a population of over 2.3 million based on the 2014 US Census estimate, making it the 25th-largest metropolitan area in the United States and third-largest in the state of Texas. Growth along the Interstate 35 and Interstate 10 corridors to the north, west and east make it likely that the metropolitan area will continue to expand.

San Antonio Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs are an American professional basketball team based in San Antonio, Texas. They are part of the Southwest Division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
The Spurs are one of four former American Basketball Association teams to remain intact in the NBA after the 1976 ABA–NBA merger and the only former ABA team to have won an NBA championship. The Spurs' five NBA championships are the fourth most in history behind only the Boston Celtics (17), Los Angeles Lakers (16), and Chicago Bulls (6). The Spurs currently rank first among active franchises for the highest winning percentage in NBA history, and are the only team in the NBA with a tied or better head-to-head regular season record against every active NBA franchise.
In their 38 NBA seasons since 1976–1977, the Spurs have won 20 division titles. They have made the playoffs in 24 of the last 25 seasons (since 1989–1990) and have missed the playoffs four times since entering the NBA; they have not missed the playoffs in the 18 seasons since Tim Duncan was drafted by the Spurs in 1997. With their 50th win in the 2014–2015 season, the Spurs extended their record for most consecutive 50+ win seasons to 16 (the 1998–99 season was shortened to 50 games because of a lockout and based on their win percentage of .740, would have easily surpassed 50 wins in an 82-game season, and thus extend the record by 2 more seasons). Thus, since the 1997–98 season, the Spurs have had 18 consecutive seasons with a winning percentage of .610 or greater during the regular season which is also an NBA record. Only the team's current head coach, Gregg Popovich, who had been the team's general manager before replacing Bob Hill in 1996, has had a longer tenure with the Spurs.

Among the historical figures featured were John Wesley Hardin, Sam Bass, Doc Holliday, the Dalton Brothers, the Younger Brothers, Belle Starr, Joaquin Murietta, L. H. Musgrove and Clay Allison. From 1958-1960, Davis starred as Wes Cameron opposite Lang Jeffries in the role of Skip Johnson in the syndicated adventure series Rescue 8. About this time, he guest starred on the syndicated crime drama, U.S. Marshal, starring John Bromfield. Davis made two guest appearances on Perry Mason; as George Tabor in the season 6 episode of "The Case of the Fickle Filly.", and as murder victim Joe Farrell in the 1964, season 8 episode of "The Case of a Place Called Midnight." He also appeared on the Jack Lord adventure series, Stoney Burke. Davis appeared eleven times on Gunsmoke and four times each on Daniel Boone, Wagon Train and Laramie. In the next-to-the-last Laramie episode, entitled "Trapped" (May 14, 1963), he guest starred along with Tommy Sands, Claude Akins, and Mona Freeman.[1] In the story line, Slim Sherman (John Smith) finds an injured female kidnap victim in the woods (Freeman). Dennis Holmes, as series regular Mike Williams, rides away to seek help, but the kidnappers reclaim the hostage. Slim pursues the kidnappers but is mistaken as a third kidnapper by the girl's father (Barton MacLane). Sands plays the girl's boyfriend, who had been ordered by her father to stop seeing her.[2] He also appeared in an episode of High Chaparral and in a small role in the 1971 John Wayne vehicle Big Jake. In 1974, he starred as Marshal Bill Winter in a short-lived ABC western series The Cowboys, based on a 1972 film of the same name starring John Wayne. After years of relatively low-profile roles, Davis was cast as family patriarch Jock Ewing on Dallas, which debuted in 1978. During season four, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma but continued to film the show as long as he could. In many scenes as the season progressed, he was shown seated. He wore a hairpiece to cover the hair he'd lost from chemotherapy. A season four storyline regarding the Takapa development and Jock's separation from Miss Ellie was ended abruptly at the end of season four. The writers depicted the couple leaving to go on an extended second honeymoon (their departure in a limousine in the episode "New Beginnings" was Davis's only scene in that episode and his final appearance on the show) when it became obvious that Davis could no longer continue to work. He died of complications from his illness while season four was being aired. The writers made the decision not to write his death into the Dallas storyline right away. Initially, plans were made to replace him with another actor but were dropped because of audience awareness and because no suitable actor could be found for the role to be recast. His character remained offscreen for thirteen episodes after Davis' death, with the storyline that he was in South America drilling for oil after taking care of Ewing Oil-related legislative business in Washington, D.C. The fifth season episode "The Search", which confirmed the character's death in a helicopter crash, was broadcast on January 8, 1982 and contained flashback scene's of the character.[3][4] A portrait of Davis in his role as Jock Ewing often appeared as a memorial on Dallas after his death. From the late 1970s until his death, Davis was also a voice actor, in the commercials for the American Beef Council, voicing the slogan "Beef: It's what's for dinner". He was replaced by Robert Mitchum.[citation needed] -

Donnie Freeman - Big Donn
Donald E. Freeman (born July 18, 1944) is an American former professional basketball player. He spent eight seasons (1967–1975) in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and one season (1975–1976) in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the third round of the 1966 NBA Draft. Freeman never played for the Sixers; rather, he spent the first eight seasons of his career in the ABA, playing for the Minnesota Muskies, Miami Floridians, Texas/Dallas Chaparrals, Utah Stars, Indiana Pacers, and San Antonio Spurs. He scored 11,544 during his ABA career and appeared in five ABA All-Star Games. Freeman then joined the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers in 1975. He spent one season with that club, averaging 10.8 points per game before retiring in 1976.

Marlin Jim Davis (August 26, 1909 -- April 26, 1981) was an American actor, best known for his role as Jock Ewing in the CBS prime-time soap opera, Dallas, a role which continued until he was too ill from a terminal illness to perform. Born as Marlin Jim Davis in Edgerton in Platte County in northwestern Missouri, he attended Baptist-affiliated William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. His first major screen role was opposite Bette Davis in the 1948 melodrama Winter Meeting, a lavish failure for which he was lambasted in the press as being too inexperienced to play the part properly. His subsequent film career consisted of mostly B movies, many of them westerns, although he made an impression as a U.S. senator in the Warren Beatty conspiracy thriller The Parallax View. Marlin Jim Davis (August 26, 1909 -- April 26, 1981) was an American actor, best known for his role as Jock Ewing in the CBS prime-time soap opera, Dallas, a role which continued until he was too ill from a terminal illness to perform.
Born as Marlin Jim Davis in Edgerton in Platte County in northwestern Missouri, he attended Baptist-affiliated William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.
His first major screen role was opposite Bette Davis in the 1948 melodrama Winter Meeting, a lavish failure for which he was lambasted in the press as being too inexperienced to play the part properly. His subsequent film career consisted of mostly B movies, many of them westerns, although he made an impression as a U.S. senator in the Warren Beatty conspiracy thriller The Parallax View.
In the episode "Little Washington" of the syndicated television series Death Valley Days, Davis portrayed a U.S. representative from Nevada with aspirations to become governor of the new state. Collectively, Davis appeared ten times on Death Valley Days.
From 1954-1955, Davis starred and narrated the syndicated western television series Stories of the Century. He portrayed Matt Clark, a detective for the Southwest Railroad who works to bring notorious gunfighters and outlaws to justice. His costars were Mary Castle and Kristine Miller. Stories of the Century was the first western series to win an Emmy Award. Among the historical figures featured were John Wesley Hardin, Sam Bass, Doc Holliday, the Dalton Brothers, the Younger Brothers, Belle Starr, Joaquin Murietta, L. H. Musgrove and Clay Allison.
From 1958-1960, Davis starred as Wes Cameron opposite Lang Jeffries in the role of Skip Johnson in the syndicated adventure series Rescue 8. About this time, he guest starred on the syndicated crime drama, U.S. Marshal, starring John Bromfield.
Davis made two guest appearances on Perry Mason; as George Tabor in the season 6 episode of "The Case of the Fickle Filly.", and as murder victim Joe Farrell in the 1964, season 8 episode of "The Case of a Place Called Midnight." He also appeared on the Jack Lord adventure series, Stoney Burke.
Davis appeared eleven times on Gunsmoke and four times each on Daniel Boone, Wagon Train and Laramie. In the next-to-the-last Laramie episode, entitled "Trapped" (May 14, 1963), he guest starred along with Tommy Sands, Claude Akins, and Mona Freeman.[1] In the story line, Slim Sherman (John Smith) finds an injured female kidnap victim in the woods (Freeman). Dennis Holmes, as series regular Mike Williams, rides away to seek help, but the kidnappers reclaim the hostage. Slim pursues the kidnappers but is mistaken as a third kidnapper by the girl's father (Barton MacLane). Sands plays the girl's boyfriend, who had been ordered by her father to stop seeing her.[2] He also appeared in an episode of High Chaparral and in a small role in the 1971 John Wayne vehicle Big Jake.
In 1974, he starred as Marshal Bill Winter in a short-lived ABC western series The Cowboys, based on a 1972 film of the same name starring John Wayne.
After years of relatively low-profile roles, Davis was cast as family patriarch Jock Ewing on Dallas, which debuted in 1978.
During season four, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma but continued to film the show as long as he could. In many scenes as the season progressed, he was shown seated. He wore a hairpiece to cover the hair he'd lost from chemotherapy. A season four storyline regarding the Takapa development and Jock's separation from Miss Ellie was ended abruptly at the end of season four. The writers depicted the couple leaving to go on an extended second honeymoon (their departure in a limousine in the episode "New Beginnings" was Davis's only scene in that episode and his final appearance on the show) when it became obvious that Davis could no longer continue to work. He died of complications from his illness while season four was being aired.
The writers made the decision not to write his death into the Dallas storyline right away. Initially, plans were made to replace him with another actor but were dropped because of audience awareness and because no suitable actor could be found for the role to be recast.
His character remained offscreen for thirteen episodes after Davis' death, with the storyline that he was in South America drilling for oil after taking care of Ewing Oil-related legislative business in Washington, D.C. The fifth season episode "The Search", which confirmed the character's death in a helicopter crash, was broadcast on January 8, 1982 and contained flashback scene's of the character.[3][4] A portrait of Davis in his role as Jock Ewing often appeared as a memorial on Dallas after his death.
From the late 1970s until his death, Davis was also a voice actor, in the commercials for the American Beef Council, voicing the slogan "Beef: It's what's for dinner". He was replaced by Robert Mitchum.[citation needed]

KIS it was not, we introduced the JWM2013 and a Club camp, plus put riders into polar opposites conditions with challenging to absolutely perfect swell and winds. We did how ever meet our goal for development and education. 3 riders trained up in Judging (level 1) and 15 members attended the coaching session provided by Da Boogie Man and Ryan Hardy Bodyboard School. We planted our feet in the sand and were showing development and progression from round 1 through out the year, all riders have shown massive growth. The introduction of Jeff Wilcox Memorial most found encouraging yet challenging. We are excited with rebuilding this event and have big dreams for future years from the event and our members. Dallas is a young city with all the vigour of youth. Effigies of modern architecture rise like glass trees out of the downtown area. In 1841, it was simply a plan of 20 streets on the 256 hectares (640 acres) of south central America, claimed by a Tennessee lawyer, John Neely Bryan. Today, it is the ninth largest city in the USA, and including its western neighbour of Fort Worth, it is the nation's fastest growing metropolitan area.
Thriving at the bottom edge of America's Great Plains, Dallas has embraced dreamers and entrepreneurs for the better part of two centuries. Big D, as it's affectionately called, merges Southern hospitality with modern sophistication. Though the landscape looks different than at its humble beginning, the city still welcomes enterprising people who gather to share their grand ideas and stake claims on new frontiers.
Dallas will always be remembered for one, if not two, shootings. The first and most shocking occurred on 22 November 1963, when President J F Kennedy was assassinated in downtown Dallas. The second shooting may only have been fictional but, when J R Ewing was shot by an unknown killer in the TV series Dallas in the early 1980s, fans across the world were devastated. Even today, the legend of J R remains strong, as does the legacy of President Kennedy.
Today the city is a mecca for the banking, electronics and oil industries, as well as for dining, shopping, arts and entertainment. Large scale developments of urban lofts, apartments, condominiums, retail and both indoor and outdoor recreational facilities are springing up across the city. An impressive new Dallas Center for the Performing Arts opened in 2009 to vie with New York's Lincoln Center. New facilities and relevant attractions in and around this cultural centre continue to grow.
Among things you probably didn't know about Dallas: The city has the largest urban arts district in the United States spanning 19 blocks. What's more, the Dallas Arts District has more buildings designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects in one contiguous location than anywhere else in the world. And Dallas' Fair Park, just a short distance east of the arts district and a district with numerous museums and venues, features the nation's largest collection of 1930s Art Deco, exposition-style architecture.
Dallas offers true Southern hospitality, be it in a humble hideaway cocktail bar or in the Mansion on Turtle Creek, repeatedly and regularly ranked as one of the world's top hotels. And with a 10th of its workforce in the hospitality industry, Dallas is always happy to have y'all come on in and stick around awhile.
Those wishing to explore further afield should take the busy freeway 30 miles to the west to the easy-going, cattle-driving, twin city of Fort Worth, home to a national historic district and a surprising stash of world-class art museums.
The similarities between the two include a stunning rate of business and population growth, in spite of a sluggish recent economy; a shared passion for the pro sports teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, whose new billion-dollar stadium is now in Tarrant County instead of Dallas; and a great pride in being Texan.

01. Dallas World Aquarium
A for-profit aquarium and zoo. Was opened in October 1992. The upper level of the aquarium is an artificial reproduction of the Orinoco Rainforest. The lower level houses aquaria featuring fish, sea anemones, coral, jellyfish, and other sea animals from around the world.
02. Dealey Plaza
The location of the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Was named a National Historic Landmark in 1993 to preserve Dealey Plaza, street rights-of-way, and buildings and structures by the plaza visible from the assassination site.

One of the premier entertainment destinations in the city. A horse racing track. Has two live racing seasons every year, The Spring Thoroughbred Season - from early April through mid-July and the Fall Meeting of Champions generally - early September through mid-November.

FTBA went into the year with some simple goals – Keep It Simple.
KIS it was not, we introduced the JWM2013 and a Club camp, plus put riders into polar opposites conditions with challenging to absolutely perfect swell and winds.
We did how ever meet our goal for development and education. 3 riders trained up in Judging (level 1) and 15 members attended the coaching session provided by Da Boogie Man and Ryan Hardy Bodyboard School.
We planted our feet in the sand and were showing development and progression from round 1 through out the year, all riders have shown massive growth.
The introduction of Jeff Wilcox Memorial most found encouraging yet challenging. We are excited with rebuilding this event and have big dreams for future years from the event and our members.
The Club camp at Treachery for round 6 was inspiring/entertaining and community building for all.
2013 could not have been possible if it wasn’t for the sponsors and the people that drive the club on a daily basis.

The most prestigious award for Forster Tuncurry Bodyboard Association is Member of the Year 2013 (voted by their Peers, can not be the President or VP).
To have been selected for this award, you have to have dedication and love for all areas of the sport and the culture.

"Forster Tuncurry Bodyboarder Association, I am proud and excited to be talking to you today, from being apart of the Wilcox to seeing the club develop and progress, is all time. From what ive seen, you guys are not only developing a great club but in near time potentially a rider ready to take on the World Tour or the Free Surfing Market and Tour like I am. The reason for talking to you now is I would like to award the Club Member of the year. This member has been present at every comp and social event this year, he has been a huge asset to the club with mentoring of kids in and out of the water. He has surfed 2 divisions to push his riding. The help and support he provides at each comp, The Jeff Wilcox Memorial, the Movie Premier and more has been priceless. He is one of the nicest guys you will meet and will do anything to help the next generation of bodyboarders. It would be an honour for me to award Will Kennedy as FTBA Club Member of the year.

"Forster Tuncurry Bodyboarder Association, I am proud and excited to be talking to you today, from being apart of the Wilcox to seeing the club develop and progress, is all time. From what ive seen, you guys are not only developing a great club but in near time potentially a rider ready to take on the World Tour or the Free Surfing Market and Tour like I am. The reason for talking to you now is I would like to award the Club Member of the year. This member has been present at every comp and social event this year, he has been a huge asset to the club with mentoring of kids in and out of the water. He has surfed 2 divisions to push his riding. The help and support he provides at each comp, The Jeff Wilcox Memorial, the Movie Premier and more has been priceless. He is one of the nicest guys you will meet and will do anything to help the next generation of bodyboarders. It would be an honour for me to award Will Kennedy as FTBA Club Member of the year.

He would probably have settled on any beat up old truck, but everything she seemed to like was way out of their price range. "Look!" she said. "I want something that goes from 0 to 200 in 4 seconds or less. And my birthday is coming up. You could surprise me." So, for her birthday, he bought her a brand new bathroom scale. Services will be at Downing Funeral Home on Monday the 12th. Due to the condition of the body, this will be a closed casket service. Established in 2003, Threewalls has grown from a start-up exhibition space to a vital visual arts organization supporting contemporary art through solo exhibitions, residencies, grants, publications, conferences and commissioning programs. With Green Lantern Press she founded and published (via Threewalls) PHONEBOOK, a guide to contemporary independant and artist-run projects, now in its 4th volume, and The Artists Run Chicago Digest, a companion, appraisal and extension to the exhibition of the same name at The Hyde Park Center. She is a co-founder of The Common Field, a national alliance of and advocacy group for small-scale visual arts platforms and their producers.
Stratton writes, curates exhibitions and other experimental projects, and relishes opportunity for administrative and pedagogical experiments. Projects include: Resonating Bodies, The Soap Factory, Minneapolis; Ps & Qs, The Glassel School of Art, Houston and The Hyde Park Arts Center, Chicago (with Jeff Ward); Things to Be Next To at Charlotte Street Foundation, Kansas/Threewalls, Chicago (with Kate Hackman); Bellwether at Vox Populi, Philadelphia; Reskilling at Western Front Exhibitions, Vancouver, Canada (with Luanne Martineau) and Gestures of Resistance: Craft, Performance, and the Politics of Slowness (with Judith Leemann) a panel discussion and exhibition at the College Art Association, Dallas, Texas and The Portland Museum of Craft, Portland, Oregon. In the summers she works with her partner Joe Jeffers on 8550 OHIO in SE Appalachian Ohio, coordinating projects including residencies, festivals and site-specific architecture. In 2010 Stratton was named one of the top 5 most vital people in the visual arts in Chicago by NewCity. In 2011 she was a fellow of the NAMAC Visual Arts Leadership Institute and a finalist for the Chicago Community Trust Emerging Leader Award. Stratton was 1 of 9 leaders in the arts featured in the Chicago Tribune 2011 Chicagoans of the Year. In 2013 Newcity named her one 50 "Visual Vanguards."
Stratton teaches in Art History, Theory & Criticism and Fiber & Material Studies departments at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was appointed Critical Studies Fellow at The Cranbrook Academy of Art for fall 2012. In 2013 she was a recipient of the Alberta College of Art Board of Governors' Alumni Award of Excellence.
Current research and upcoming projects include: Threewalls relocation and opening of adjacent speakeasy, The General Idea; curatorial residecies at Elsewhere in collaboration with Joe Jeffers and at The Kinsey Institute in conjunction with Threewalls; residency at Cannonball, Miami (dates TBD); exhibition "A Chain of Conspicuous Absences" (on the limits of exchangeability). Shannon curated the 1st retrospective of Faith Wilding's painting and drawing work at Threewalls in January 2014. The exhibition will travel to other locations, including Rhodes College, Memphis, TN and The Pasadena Armory, Pasadena, CA in September 2015.

Donnie Freeman - Big Donn
Donald E. Freeman (born July 18, 1944) is an American former professional basketball player. He spent eight seasons (1967–1975) in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and one season (1975–1976) in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the third round of the 1966 NBA Draft. Freeman never played for the Sixers; rather, he spent the first eight seasons of his career in the ABA, playing for the Minnesota Muskies, Miami Floridians, Texas/Dallas Chaparrals, Utah Stars, Indiana Pacers, and San Antonio Spurs. He scored 11,544 during his ABA career and appeared in five ABA All-Star Games. Freeman then joined the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers in 1975. He spent one season with that club, averaging 10.8 points per game before retiring in 1976.

Marlin Jim Davis (August 26, 1909 -- April 26, 1981) was an American actor, best known for his role as Jock Ewing in the CBS prime-time soap opera, Dallas, a role which continued until he was too ill from a terminal illness to perform. Born as Marlin Jim Davis in Edgerton in Platte County in northwestern Missouri, he attended Baptist-affiliated William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. His first major screen role was opposite Bette Davis in the 1948 melodrama Winter Meeting, a lavish failure for which he was lambasted in the press as being too inexperienced to play the part properly. Marlin Jim Davis (August 26, 1909 -- April 26, 1981) was an American actor, best known for his role as Jock Ewing in the CBS prime-time soap opera, Dallas, a role which continued until he was too ill from a terminal illness to perform.
Born as Marlin Jim Davis in Edgerton in Platte County in northwestern Missouri, he attended Baptist-affiliated William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.
His first major screen role was opposite Bette Davis in the 1948 melodrama Winter Meeting, a lavish failure for which he was lambasted in the press as being too inexperienced to play the part properly. His subsequent film career consisted of mostly B movies, many of them westerns, although he made an impression as a U.S. senator in the Warren Beatty conspiracy thriller The Parallax View.
In the episode "Little Washington" of the syndicated television series Death Valley Days, Davis portrayed a U.S. representative from Nevada with aspirations to become governor of the new state. Collectively, Davis appeared ten times on Death Valley Days.
From 1954-1955, Davis starred and narrated the syndicated western television series Stories of the Century. He portrayed Matt Clark, a detective for the Southwest Railroad who works to bring notorious gunfighters and outlaws to justice. His costars were Mary Castle and Kristine Miller. Stories of the Century was the first western series to win an Emmy Award. Among the historical figures featured were John Wesley Hardin, Sam Bass, Doc Holliday, the Dalton Brothers, the Younger Brothers, Belle Starr, Joaquin Murietta, L. H. Musgrove and Clay Allison.
From 1958-1960, Davis starred as Wes Cameron opposite Lang Jeffries in the role of Skip Johnson in the syndicated adventure series Rescue 8. About this time, he guest starred on the syndicated crime drama, U.S. Marshal, starring John Bromfield.
Davis made two guest appearances on Perry Mason; as George Tabor in the season 6 episode of "The Case of the Fickle Filly.", and as murder victim Joe Farrell in the 1964, season 8 episode of "The Case of a Place Called Midnight." He also appeared on the Jack Lord adventure series, Stoney Burke.
Davis appeared eleven times on Gunsmoke and four times each on Daniel Boone, Wagon Train and Laramie. In the next-to-the-last Laramie episode, entitled "Trapped" (May 14, 1963), he guest starred along with Tommy Sands, Claude Akins, and Mona Freeman.[1] In the story line, Slim Sherman (John Smith) finds an injured female kidnap victim in the woods (Freeman). Dennis Holmes, as series regular Mike Williams, rides away to seek help, but the kidnappers reclaim the hostage. Slim pursues the kidnappers but is mistaken as a third kidnapper by the girl's father (Barton MacLane). Sands plays the girl's boyfriend, who had been ordered by her father to stop seeing her.[2] He also appeared in an episode of High Chaparral and in a small role in the 1971 John Wayne vehicle Big Jake.
In 1974, he starred as Marshal Bill Winter in a short-lived ABC western series The Cowboys, based on a 1972 film of the same name starring John Wayne.
After years of relatively low-profile roles, Davis was cast as family patriarch Jock Ewing on Dallas, which debuted in 1978.
During season four, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma but continued to film the show as long as he could. In many scenes as the season progressed, he was shown seated. He wore a hairpiece to cover the hair he'd lost from chemotherapy. A season four storyline regarding the Takapa development and Jock's separation from Miss Ellie was ended abruptly at the end of season four. The writers depicted the couple leaving to go on an extended second honeymoon (their departure in a limousine in the episode "New Beginnings" was Davis's only scene in that episode and his final appearance on the show) when it became obvious that Davis could no longer continue to work. He died of complications from his illness while season four was being aired.
The writers made the decision not to write his death into the Dallas storyline right away. Initially, plans were made to replace him with another actor but were dropped because of audience awareness and because no suitable actor could be found for the role to be recast.
His character remained offscreen for thirteen episodes after Davis' death, with the storyline that he was in South America drilling for oil after taking care of Ewing Oil-related legislative business in Washington, D.C. The fifth season episode "The Search", which confirmed the character's death in a helicopter crash, was broadcast on January 8, 1982 and contained flashback scene's of the character.[3][4] A portrait of Davis in his role as Jock Ewing often appeared as a memorial on Dallas after his death.
From the late 1970s until his death, Davis was also a voice actor, in the commercials for the American Beef Council, voicing the slogan "Beef: It's what's for dinner". He was replaced by Robert Mitchum.[citation needed]

This is the 250cc Main Event from the 2000 Pontiac 1 Supercross. In 2000, Chaparral Yamaha's Jeremy McGrath #1 was in his groove as the 2000 Supercross series rolled into round 7 from the Pontiac Silverdome in mid-February. McGrath had won 4 races out of 6 already, including the last 2 at Houston and Indianapolis where he led all 40 laps and holeshotted both mains. His closest competitor, #934 David Vuilllemin of Team Yamaha only trailed Jeremy by 12 points, but he was within 2 points after beating the icon straight up at Phoenix. McGrath had 4 wins to Vuillemin's 2, which made this Yamaha's best start to a Supercross season in 2 decades.
Coming into Pontiac, Jeremy McGrath was trying to get over a deadly case of the flu. He came into the last round at Indianapolis having not ridden his YZ250 in 6 whole days due to his bad cough. Jeremy showed he was the same rider, whether healthy or sick, since he had won the past 2 races. McGrath was finally nailing his starts after having only 1 good start (Anaheim 2) in the first 4 races of the season. His other starts weren't too bad, but round 3 at San Diego was his worst start of all when he got out of the first turn in 10th place. Jeremy would salvage a 4th place finish, which stopped his 2-race win streak to begin the 2000 season. McGrath started in 5th in the other 2 races at Anaheim 1 and Phoenix, but Phoenix was his most disappointing 2nd place finish of all time.
In the main, Jeremy McGrath nailed his 3rd consecutive holeshot of the season. He would add another 20 laps led as he went virtually unchallenged for his 5th win of the season (his 3rd consecutive going back to Houston). Two surprise performances were behind Jeremy though. Running in 2nd was #20 Damon Huffman of Team Suzuki, and in 3rd was Team Honda's Sebastien Tortelli #21. Prior to that night, Tortelli's best finish was the opener at Anaheim where he finished 4th; Huffman's best finish was at the last round at Indianapolis with a 5th place (besting his 7th at San Diego). When David Vuillemin suffered a bad start and Team Kawasaki's #4 Ricky Carmichael crashed in the first turn and took AMSOIL Honda's #5 Mike LaRocco with him, Jeremy rode to one of his easiest wins of the season. Carmichael would fight back to finish 10th, and Vuillemin 6th. Damon Huffman went unchallenged in 2nd until the final lap when he bobbled in the whoops and gave up 2nd to Sebastien Tortelli. Either way, both saw the podium for the first time in quite a while.
For Sebastien Tortelli, the 2nd place finish was his first podium since winning the 1998 Los Angeles Supercross on a Kawasaki. This 2nd place finish by Tortelli would be his only podium of the 2000 Supercross season, and he wouldn't see the podium again until the 2002 Salt Lake City Supercross. As for Damon Huffman, his 3rd place finish was his first podium finish since the 1998 New Orleans Supercross when he took a 3rd place on a Kawasaki. Damon would later go on to win the first ever Supercross U.S. Open race with a 2-2 that year.
At the end of the season, McGrath was your titlist (no surprise) with 10 wins in the 16 races. Tortelli would earn 6th overall in the final points tally, and Damon Huffman (who missed 2 races due to a back injury at St. Louis), was able to salvage 8th overall.
