Two Pacific National "NR class" diesel locomotives lead their Melbourne bound container freight train across the Hamilton Highway level crossing, located between Inverleigh and Murgheboluc in Victoria. Amazingly the flashing lights, bells, and boom gates are still not enough to prevent some drivers from foolishly proceeding through level crossings when trains approach, however thankfully on this occasion the train encounters no such problems from foolish drivers. The NRclass are an Australian mainline diesel electric locomotive that use GE Transportation Systems engines and traction equipment developing just over 4000 horsepower. They were introduced by National Rail in 1996 and are now owned by Pacific National.

Ragdoll Cat meets Ringtail Possum -- ラグドール - PoathTV

My ragdoll cat is very intersted in the ringtail possums that live in my area. As one of the possums is very friendly towards me I've been introducing her to Ella over the last few nights. Last night I filmed them getting 'up close', and as you'll see the possum was not at all worried even when Ella was on the ground underneath her which was interesting as the possum is very wary of other cats in the area. Note: the camera angles can make it look like Ella was very close to the possum, most of the time she was 15-20cm away and being restrained in such a way that she would not be able to lunge forward or swipe the possum, if she had attempted any action with her arms she could only move them out sideways not forwards. When on the ground under the possum she wanted to get closer, however she has no idea how to jump that high (even though its only about 1 metre!). Once the possum had left she got very upset as she had been enjoying watching her new friend :-) In this video I am feeding the possum slices of apple, I have other movies on my channel showing the possum eating other tasty treats such as peach slices and mango peels. No junk food is ever given to the possums to ensure they remain healthy. Update June 2011: 2 months have passed and Ella loves her 'special time' with the possum. Ella will sit by the back door once it gets dark and wait for her friend. If Ella is asleep I just need to say "Ella, Possum" and she'll be at the door waiting in under 5 seconds! Update Nov ...

Once attached the locomotive will shunt the train so the shipping containers can be unloaded. Interail is part of QR National railways. The 422 Class were delivered to their original owners, the New South Wales Government Railways during 1969 & 1970 and. The locomotive has an EMD 16-645E engine and features a drivers cab on both ends of the locomotive, a feature that became common on NSW locomotives for the next 30 years.

Pacific National diesel locomotives G527 & X41, both wearing the blue and yellow colour scheme depart Dynon (Melbourne) with a broad gauge freight train consisting of loaded container wagons. Both locomotives could do with a good wash to remove a thick layer of dust - someone has been inventive and started to create a checkerboard pattern on G527 by removing some of the dirt.

Valentino is an 11 month old Seal Point Ragdoll cat (with blaze) who, in true Ragdoll style, likes to go all floppy. In fact he's so floppy he sometimes has trouble rolling over! Grain Train & Classic Victorian Railways Locomotives - PoathTV Australian Trains and Railroads

A broad gauge grain train operated by "El Zorro" is seen in a typical Australian country landscape as the late afternoon sun begins to cast its long shadows. While the grain hoppers are quite modern the same can not be said for the locomotives that have been hired by El Zorro to help shift this seasons grain harvest. The five locomotives are all veterans from the former Victorian Railways, most dating back to the early/mid 1950's yet still going strong after all these years. On this occassion the locomotives are B74, S303 , T357, T320 and X31, all hired from the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre.

Classic EMD Diesel Locomotives Charge Upgrade - PoathTV Australian Railways & Trains

The broad gauge Tocumwal freight service operated by QUBE (previously known as POTA) has just passed through Wandong in country Victoria, and now the lusty chant of four veteran EMD locomotives echos through the hillside as they tackle a grade leading to East Kilmore. The leading two locomotives are members of the B class. B80 & B76 both entered service with the Victorian Railways in 1953 and some sixty years later these unique locomotives with their dual streamlined cabs are still going strong with these two examples now being owned by Chicago Freight Car Leasing Australia (CFCLA) who have leased them to Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) for infrastructure works, who in turn lease them to other operators when MTM are not using them. The 3rd and 4th locomotives are T413 which entered service with the Fyansford Cement Works Railway in 1956, and T364 which entered service with the Victoria Railways in 1962. Both T class locomotives are now owned by Preservation groups.

Ragdoll Kitten Meets Ragdoll Cat - ラグドール - PoathTV Cats

My 3 month old seal point Ragdoll kitten has been living with me for a week, and my 2 year old Blue Point Ragdoll cross cat was not too impressed by the newcomer at first. Bit by bit they've been interacting together, and today they stayed on a bed together for a few minutes without too many hisses or thumps to determine just who the boss is going to be. After filming this they chased each other around the house for 20 minutes before resting on chairs near each other. Shouldn't be too long before they're the best of friends. Update: A week has passed since this was filmed, and the two cats are now very good friends.

A broad gauge Pacific National cement train heads from Melbourne to Geelong. I'd filmed the train heading the opposite direction a few hours earlier and was pleased to see it return. This time the "A class" locomotive A85 has a longer load consisting of 17 VPCX cement hoppers, and again most of the cement hoppers had unfortunately been attacked by graffiti vandals. In the mid 1980's the A class locomotives were rebuilt for V/line from B class locomotives, these locomotives had originally been constructed in the 1950's for the Victorian Railways. The A class now feature a 12 cylinder EMD 645 turbo engine with an output of 2510hp and are designated as an EMD AAT22C-2R

Ragdoll Cat Versus Zuru Robo Fish - ラグドール - PoathTV Cats

Valentino is a 7 month old Seal Point Ragdoll cat (with blaze) who loves to play games, and today was his lucky day as I had just purchased a toy fish for him to play with. I threw the toy into an outdoor water feature and for the next 30 minutes Valentino had lots of fun trying to catch the little fish as it swam around quite realistically. The little toy is battery operated and once in the water it swims around randomly - sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes on the surface and other times diving deep down. The toy fish is called a "Robo Fish" and is made by Zuru. The one I purchased looks like the Coral fish from "Finding Nemo", there are a few other designs available too. As this is a small toy that contains a battery you should never let your pet cat play with it unsupervised. Dangerous Playground - Southern Pacific RailRoad 1950's - Educational Safety Film about Trains

This is an educational safety film released by the Southern Pacific Railroad in the 1950's showing the dangers that face unsuspecting children when they use the railroad property as a playground. Also shows other unacceptable behavious such as throwing rocks at trains or putting objects on the tracks, and their potential consequences including train derailment or personal injury. From a rail forum on "Altamont Press" I've learnt the sequence with the boy crossing the trestle was filmed on the NWP's Tiburon Branch (trestle over "Blackie's Pasture.") and the scenes of the PA with the kids and the engineer were filmed at SP's East Oakland yard. Cityrail Passenger Railcars in New South Wales - PoathTV Trains & Transport in Australia

A selection of scenes featuring the NSW Cityrail "Hunter" and "Endeavour" passenger railcars arriving at Victoria Street station (Maitland) followed by the trains in a country setting near Thornton. A countrylink long distance Xplorer passenger train also makes an appearance. The Endeavour railcar is a Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) built by Adtranz, entering service in 1994. The Endeavours were built in conjunction with the CountryLink Xplorer railcars. The two types of trains are very similar, the basic design was adjusted to be suitable for relatively short journeys in the Endeavours and for long distance journeys in the Xplorers. The "Hunter" railcars are the latest addition to the Cityrail diesel railcar fleet, having entered service in 2006, and operate exclusively in the NSW Hunter Valley.
