Out of state skiers visit to enjoy Sandia's 50 inch base
some more today. it came down for much of the day at sandia peak ski area. danielle todesco went up there to check it out... she's live at the base of the tram with the details. danielle? joe... but up there on the mountain it's a consistent, light dusting of snow. it's exactly what the staff at sandia peak say they love to see. it seems the skiers and boarders love it too. 16:49:16 good shot of snowflakes looks like a scene out of a holiday movie, right? would you believe it's right here at home? yep...that's sandia peak. and everyone up there says it was like this all day. 16:53:49-54 It keeps the surface nice and fluffy, and it doesn't make driving a bear in a foot of snow. the perfect conditions they wish they could see every week. but hey...they've had a great season so far. BRIAN COON: 16:52:49-57 In an average year, it's maybe 40 or 50000 skier visits and we're already over 25000 visits this year. nearly 9-hundred guests up there today.

Main Show Only - UFO Cover-Ups - Coast to Coast AM
jetstreamnews.com Retired Air Force Capt. and UFO investigator, Robert Collins, discussed his research into government and military UFO cover-ups. According to one of his sources, retired AF Lt. Col Ernie Kellerstrass, in 1959 an F106 was sent up to intercept a UFO in Japan, and ended up being pulled into the UFO's tractor beam.Kellerstrass also told him that in 1964, chemical and radiation testing was done at the Sandia Base on alien body parts. Collins said he'd seen official drawings of tunnels, vaults and underground infrastructure at Wright-Patterson AFB. These secret facilities, which can be detected by radar, were alleged to house alien craft and bodies-- but such materials were moved primarily to Los Alamos National Laboratory and Area 51 around 1982-83, he stated. He also spoke about "H5," an unstable element used in alien propulsion that can purportedly extract energy out of a vacuum. Scientists were not successful in trying to stabilize it at tests conducted at Los Alamos, he added. Sandia Peak Tramway in the Winter
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO DIZZINESS OR ANY OTHER KIND OF MOTION SICKNESS, YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO WATCH THE FIRST FOUR MINUTES OF THIS VIDEO. This is due to some of my sloppy recording in the early part of this video, which I apologize for. Sandia Peak Tramway is located in Albuquerque New Mexico. It is at the base of the Sandia Mountains at an elevation of 6559 feet or about 2000 meters. There are two towers on the way to the top of Sandia Peak, which support the cables of the tram cars. The first tower is at an elevation of 7010 feet (2137 meters) and stands 232 feet (70.7 meters) tall. The second tower is at an elevation of 8.750 feet (2667 meters) and stands 80 feet (24 meters) tall. Due to the lack of a construction road, helicopters were completely used to build the second tower. Shortly past the second tower is the half way point where the tram cars meet. Upon passing the second tower, there is a nice view of Sandia Peak to the east, which is where the tram cars dock at the top. IMPORTANT: The change in altitude will result in a drop in temperatures when you reach Sandia Peak. The trip up Sandia Peak is like going from the climate of Mexico to Alaska. Even on the hottest summer day in Albuquerque, it can still get cold at night on top of Sandia Peak. However, daytime temperatures on Sandia Peak in the summer can be tolerable. In the autumn, the aspens on the Sandia Mountains can sometimes turn a beautiful yellow. These aspens normally reach their peak in ...

Sandia Mountains - Albuquerque - James Meléndez / James the Travel Guy
A great way to escape to the mountains easily accessed from Albuquerque; this forest and mountain range border the city limits. This view point may not seem impressive but it is at the base of the granite faced Sandia Mountains.
