Mark Foys was a department store in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, founded by Francis Foy and his brother Mark Foy (1865–1950) and named after their father Mark Foy (Senior).
The store started trading from its Liverpool Street premises in 1909. The store had Australia's first escalator. In 1964 Mark Foys opened a store in Eastwood (NSW) followed in 1966 at Burwood (NSW).
In 1980, when it ceased trading after going into receivership, the City Piazza building briefly became "Grace Bros Piazza" until 1982. The natural shift of the retailing hub further north of the CBD, around Pitt Street Mall, led to its closure. The building is now used as a complex of state courthouses known as the Downing Centre. However, its former role is preserved in the ornate tilework on the facade and surroundings.
The Mark Foys warehouse is a heritage brownstone building located in nearby Goulburn Street, which has been converted into residential apartments known as Sydney Mansions.
Mark Foy also founded the Hydro Majestic Hotel at Medlow Bath near Katoomba and Australia's Oldest Open Boat Sailing Club the Sydney Flying Squadron, founded in 1891

Foy & Gibson (also known as Foys) was one of Australia's earliest department store chains, modelled on Le Bon Marché in Paris and other European and American Stores of the period. A large range of goods were manufactured and sold by the company including clothing, manchester, leather goods, soft furnishings, furniture, hardware and food.
The first store was established as a drapery in Smith Street, Collingwood, Victoria by Mark Foy. Ownership of this business was transferred to his son Francis Foy in partnership with Willam Gibson in March, 1883. Francis Foy later sold his half share of the business to Gibson and moved to Sydney, establishing Mark Foys there.
Gibson established a branch of the business in Perth and subsequently opened store a store in Brisbane in 1903 and another in Rundle Street, Adelaide in 1907.
In 1955, the company was bought out by Cox Brothers and in 1964, Foy & Gibson (WA) Ltd, including ten stores in Western Australia, was sold to David Jones. The Bourke Street Melbourne store was sold to Woolworths in 1967.
Mark Foy is a former association football player who represented New Zealand at international level.
Foy played three official full internationals for New Zealand, making his debut in a 0-5 loss to Indonesia on 21 September 1997. His other two matches were a 0-0 draw with Chile on 4 February and a 0-1 loss to South Korea on 7 February 1998.
James Francis Cagney, Jr. (July 17, 1899 – March 30, 1986) was an American actor, first on stage, then in film, where he had his greatest impact. Although he won acclaim and major awards for a wide variety of performances, he is best remembered for playing tough guys. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked him eighth among its 50 Greatest American Screen Legends.
In his first professional acting performance, he danced dressed as a woman in the chorus line of the 1919 revue Every Sailor. He spent several years in vaudeville as a hoofer and comedian, until he got his first major acting part in 1925. He secured several other roles, receiving good notices, before landing the lead in the 1929 play Penny Arcade. After rave reviews, Warner Bros. signed him for an initial $500-a-week, three-week contract to reprise his role; this was quickly extended to a seven-year contract.
