The show is inspired from the famous humorous column 'Duniya Ne Undha Chasma' written by the eminent Gujarati writer Mr. Tarak Mehta. This story evolves around happenings in """"Gokuldham Co-operative Society"""" and covers topical issues which are socially relevant. The show predominantly - Promoolves around 'Jethalaal' (Dilip Joshi) who is an uneducated Gujarati businessman. Your 'Taarak Mehta' (Sailesh Lodha), is his neighbour. 'Jethalaal' finds a friend and philosopher in 'Taarak Mehta' and often goes to him for advice whenever he is in trouble. Jethalaal's family includes his simpleton wife 'Daya Ben' (Disha Wakani) and a mischievous son 'Tapu' (Bhavya Gandhi). Tapu is a menace and a constant source of trouble to all the members of Gokuldham. They have often warned 'Jethalaal' to reform 'Tapu' or else be prepared to leave the premises. Lost hopes of being heard by his son pushes Jethalaal' to call his father 'Champaklal' (Amit Bhatt) from the village. This was his great idea of leashing some control over the mischievous Tapu. The opposite happens and the grandfather joins hands with the grandson to make life a roller coaster troublesome ride for Jethalaal.

SAVED FROM THE FLAMES is a unique collection of 54 rare and restored short films from 1896-1944, the inflammable years of cinema. Movies were once made on nitrate film stock, which has a chemical composition similar to gunpowder and is highly vulnerable to decay. This remarkable 7-hour anthology, organized in eight thematic groups over 3 DVDs, presents amazing treasures from the vaults of Lobster Films in Paris and from the Blackhawk Films Collection, rescued during half a century of gathering movies from the nitrate era.
The 8 themes include:
New Beginnings: Seven films, including the early cinematic experiment of Lumière, Georges Mendel and others, featuring Cyrano de Bergerac from 1900.
Magical Movies: Five early fantasy and trick films, including astonishing stop-motion animation from 1911.
Seeing The World: Ten films, including a transatlantic crossing in a Zeppelin dirigible and a film promoting Josephine Baker's wild revue at the Foliès-Bergere.
Laughing Like We Used To: Seven comedies, including four restored from turn of the century Italy and France and a frenetic Mack Sennett gag fest with tin lizzies galore.
Drawings and Models: Six works of animation: Fantasmagorie from 1908, three cartons from the Fleischer Studios.
Grace Notes: Rare musical performances by Reinhardt, Ellington, and Armstrong.
Persuade Me: Eleven films designed to influence, including three WW-II era musical shorts and a paean to the 1936 Chevrolet, selected for the National Film Registry.
Tell Me A Story: Narratives from 1912-1913 by D.W. Griffith, Lois Weber, and Thomas Ince, all mastered from beautiful 35mm film elements.
SAVED FROM THE FLAMES is based in part upon Retour de Flamme, a screening series from Lobster Films, Paris, produced by Serge Bromberg, Eric Lange, Sylvie Geordiadès, Anne Simon, and upon films from The Blackhawk Films Collection, selected and organized by David Shepard.

PAGLIACCI RESTORED The First Complete Opera Recording (1907)
This landmark recording from 1907 has been cleaned and restored to near its noise floor for the first time in 110 years.
Ruggero Leoncavallo has the distinction of being among the great composers of Italian Opera in spite of having only one work that is still performed today. But that one work is "I Pagliacci", one of the most popular operas of them all. His score is truly inspired, and his
libretto was based on a case his father, a criminal judge, had tried during his youth. The magic stirred audiences from the outset, and it has continued to this day.
The historic nature of this first complete opera recording would be enough to justify preservation. It is so much more than that.
The performance is brilliant. Here is La Scala at the beginning of the 20th Century with great performers who helped define these roles; Paoli, Cigada, Badini, and Huguet, with her vampy, sometimes vapory Nedda. The composer himself was present for these sessions, his role in them is unclear, but the results are wonderful. Filled with wit and dark passion, this a recording that is more than a historic document. It deserves to be heard and treasured.
The present issue is sourced from the only known complete copy in existence. Considering a source with an original life expectancy of 5 - 10 years, it sounds fabulous for 110 years old. The recording itself is an extraordinary undertaking. Instead of sounding like a scaled-down version for acoustic disk, the present performance is at full musical scale and dramatic intensity. Possibly one big advantage of working with the composer. Who better to supervise the arrangement of the parts for the recording while preserving the full score?
Just as remarkable is the recording engineering itself. Although the sound is limited to the telephonic range, the actual instrument waveshapes are excellent, the resulting product with the required acoustic artifacts of the recording system removed is within a whisker of acoustic flat. That is certainly no accident. The Gramophone Co. engineers designed an extremely precise acoustic system for this session. Although the bandwidth is telephonic, the fidelity within that range is excellent, the rolloff is linear, and there is the distinct suggestion of a sonic image, the prelude to later reverb chambers, etc.
There is a great deal more to this recording technology than the simple use of a bullhorn to collect audio. The physics behind such acoustic designs are impressive even by modern engineering standards. The sonic evidence suggests an elaborate network of high precision tubes and horns which used mechanical valves to control inputs like a modern mixer does. This why the recording is so richly detailed; the engineer could focus, reshape and select groupings before the signal reached the resonator.
This is high fidelity: circa. 1907.
Reverb has been added at some point in earlier mastering efforts. The decision here was to leave it alone.
There is some pitch change at some side changes. Although the recording was acoustic, the transport mechanics almost certainly used AC current. As a rule these motors were reliably pitch-accurate by that time. (Tesla's contribution to the technology.) The issue is probably tuning. It is certainly understandable. This was before the age of sine wave tuning methods and even the sharpest ears could suffer acoustic fatigue in long, crowded sessions.
So here is the first complete opera recording, with an all-star cast and composer involvement. It set the bar very high for the great opera recordings that would follow it, and for the ones yet to come.
In an acoustic recording the surface is part of the sound and complete noise reduction is impossible.
The aim here is to reproduce, as closely as possible, the actual acoustic performance characteristics of that early recording system.

Panic of 1907
The Panic of 1907 – also known as the 1907 Bankers' Panic or Knickerbocker Crisis – was a United States financial crisis that took place over a three-week period starting in mid-October, when the New York Stock Exchange fell almost 50% from its peak the previous year. Panic occurred, as this was during a time of economic recession, and there were numerous runs on banks and trust companies. The 1907 panic eventually spread throughout the nation when many state and local banks and businesses entered bankruptcy. Primary causes of the run included a retraction of market liquidity by a number of New York City banks and a loss of confidence among depositors, exacerbated by unregulated side bets at bucket shops. The panic was triggered by the failed attempt in October 1907 to corner the market on stock of the United Copper Company. When this bid failed, banks that had lent money to the cornering scheme suffered runs that later spread to affiliated banks and trusts, leading a week later to the downfall of the Knickerbocker Trust Company—New York City's third-largest trust. The collapse of the Knickerbocker spread fear throughout the city's trusts as regional banks withdrew reserves from New York City banks. Panic extended across the nation as vast numbers of people withdrew deposits from their regional banks.
The panic might have deepened if not for the intervention of financier J. P. Morgan, who pledged large sums of his own money, and convinced other New York bankers to do the same, to shore up the banking system. At the time, the United States did not have a central bank to inject liquidity back into the market. By November, the financial contagion had largely ended, only to be replaced by a further crisis. This was due to the heavy borrowing of a large brokerage firm that used the stock of Tennessee Coal, Iron and Railroad Company as collateral. Collapse of TC&I;'s stock price was averted by an emergency takeover by Morgan's U.S. Steel Corporation—a move approved by anti-monopolist president Theodore Roosevelt. The following year, Senator Nelson W. Aldrich, father-in-law of John D. Rockefeller, Jr., established and chaired a commission to investigate the crisis and propose future solutions, leading to the creation of the Federal Reserve System.
