12 - 'Doubled CO2 means just 1.64 degrees of warming...' or maybe not.
Last week a paper by researchers at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies led to sensational headlines that the Earth will only warm by as much as 1.64 degrees centigrade -- in a couple of centuries. Sound too good to be true? Of course it does. I've put this video together faster than I normally would because the myth has already gone viral. But it's so easy to spot the flaws you have to wonder why people who call themselves "skeptics" aren't skeptical enough to check even the most basic facts. CORRECTION: Cbrhawk1 points out an error at around 3:15. He writes: "[Potholer] applies a subtractive 0.26C to the 4.5C estimate of the IPCC rather than properly applying the feedback to the formula." My response: The paper doesn't show how to apply the formula to other models, which is why I subtracted the 0.26 degC figure directly. However, I agree with Cbrhawk1 that it is not that simple, because higher temperatures would presumably lead to higher evapotranspiration rates. If we apply the figure pro-rata, then warming of 4.5 degrees would be reduced to 3.9 degrees. I have no argument with that at all; evapotranspiration is a negative feedback, and the paper shows that it is greater than previously estimated. The point of this video is to debunk the absurd conclusion that global temperatures are only set to rise by 1.64 degrees because of evapotranspiration. The focus of the study was not to determine global temps but to quantify the negative feedback effects of ...

stop paying taxes legally
The American paradox", firstly it has nothing to do with America as a country of individual people who for the most part live their lives as best they can. So for those who think I may be "bashing" Americans, I am not, nor do I have any animosity against any race of peoples, Jews, Muslims, Arabs or whom ever. As the joke goes, " my animosity knows no bounds". Seriously though, the problem is we need to look at the world now as a question of those "in the know" and those "not in the know". Those that run everything, and those that follow. Looking at the history of humankind, there has always been the "ruling class, and the slaves". We for the most part, you and I and 99% of the rest of the world are the slaves. As the late, great George Carlin said, "we are not in their club and they don't give a fuck about us". The American Paradox can be likened to the greek myth of King Midas. It is a society that wants for nothing, that purports that all are equal and that there is abundance for all, and yet has the highest percentage of obese and malnourished people and poorly educated children pro-rata in the world. With all the benefits that a society can offer, the system that runs america ( I have heard it called the corporate military pharmaceutical monolith) indoctrinates its own kind of mind control over the sick and poor masses. Looking at "americas" paradoxes, it is easy to see the peculiarities. A system that offers millions of ways to keep people looking young, and yet does ...

'The recording of © ' A Soldier Died Today' by Veteran Lawrence Vaincourt A poignant reminder of our Forgotten Veterans For UK ex-regular Service Veterans who in the period 1949 to end of Tax Year March 1975 completed less than 22 years service (16 years for commissioned officers) the Association conducts a campaign seeking to rectify the inequality in occupational pro-rata pensions currently denied by Government. In many cases this same anomaly applies also to those who served for a minimum of a further 2 years beyond April 1975. Can I collect divorced-spousal Social Security benefits without my ex-spousal approval?
Nearly half of all marriages end in divorce and some people have multiple divorces. One of the questions that I am frequently asked is "Can I collect divorced-spousal Social Security benefits without my ex-spousal approval?" The simple answer is yes! Let's see how this could work for you. You are entitled to divorced spousal benefits if: If a wife and her husband have been married for more than 10 years before divorcing, she may qualify for spousal benefits based on her ex-husband's work record as long as she is at least 62 and still unmarried. If they have been divorced for at least two years, the ex- spouse (he needs to be 62 or older) does not need to apply for his benefits in order for her to receive hers. You are divorced and the marriage last at least 10 years. You have not remarried and are age 62 or older. You ex-spouse is at least 62 If you ex-spouse has not applied for social security benefits you must be divorced for 2 years. Your divorced spousal benefits must be greater than your own benefits If you are receiving divorced-spousal benefits and remarry, the benefits stop. However, if you remarry and it divorced spouse #2(marriage less than 10 years) you can go back to collecting off the first ex-spouse. Generally, an ex-wife will have to wait one year to start collecting benefits from her new husband (he must be 62 or older). Except if she already receiving spousal-divorce benefits when she remarries, she can receive her new spousal ...

Sport Resort Ylläs disc golf course in July 2011. Watch in HD and fullscreen to see at least part of the disc flights. The disc golf course in Ylläs is a 10-hole course located at the ski slopes beside hotel Ylläs Saaga. You can get course maps from the hotel's reception, and you can also get loaner discs there for a small deposit, which will be returned when you return the discs. The course par is obviously aimed at recreational players, but who cares about the posted par anyway :-) Even though this is not a pro level course, hole 9 with it's 155' drop is definitely quite an experience. frisbeegolfradat.fi www.yllassaaga.fi

Empire Of Cricket - India Documentary Part 1 of 6
Cricket is the de facto national sport of India. Though cricket is indubitably the most popular sport in India, it is not the nation's official national sport (a distinction held by field hockey). Cricket in India International cricket in India generally does not follow a fixed pattern. For example, the English schedule under which the nation tours other countries during winter and plays at home during the summer. Generally, there has recently been a tendency to play more one-day matches than Test matches. Cricket in India is managed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the richest cricket board in the cricket world. Indian International Cricketing Squad has also provided some of the greatest players to the world. Indian cricket has a rich history. The Indian cricket team is currently ranked first (as of 21 March 2010) by the ICC in Tests and second (as of 21 March 2010) in ODIs. As of March 2010, the Indian team has played 437 Test matches, winning 104, losing 137 and drawing 195 of its games, with 1 match ending in a tie. India has a relatively better record in One Day Internationals, winning over 50% of matches played. Currently, Gary Kirsten is the head coach while Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the captain in all forms of the game. Under the leadership of Dhoni, the Indian team has set a national record for most back-to-back ODI wins (9 straight wins) and has emerged as one of the most formidable teams in international cricket.
