Los Angeles Clippers Vs Oklahoma City Thunders Recap 1.30.12
The Clippers played their most entertaining game of the season against a team with the league's best record, burying rapid-fire 3-pointers, delivering pinpoint passes and thrilling the sold-out crowd with perhaps the most impressive slam dunk of the year, paving the way for a 112-100 victory Monday night against the Thunder at Staples Center. The Thunder had not allowed an opponent to shoot 50 percent or better from the field this season and came in tied with the league's second-lowest field-goal percentage by the opposition (41.8 percent), but the Clippers were much better than that, shooting 45-for-80 from the floor (56.3 percent), including 13-for-25 from 3-point range (52 percent). lobnation.com

James Worthy - Worth
James Ager Worthy (born February 27, 1961 in Gastonia, North Carolina) is a retired American college and professional basketball player. Standing 6 ft 9 in (2.05 m), he played small forward. Worthy was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers as the first overall pick of the 1982 NBA Draft and immediately made an impact as a rookie. He averaged 13.4 points per game and shot a Laker rookie record .579 field goal percentage. He was also named to the 1983 All-Rookie First Team. Worthy thrived in the Laker's fastbreak style with his speed and dynamic scoring ability. Beyond just finishing a fastbreak with his trademark Statue of Liberty dunks or swooping finger rolls, Worthy was also one of the best baseline post players at the small forward position, with a quick spin move and a deadly turnaround jumpshot. Unfortunately, his rookie year ended on a down note as Worthy broke his tibula after coming down awkwardly from a jumpball in one of the last regular season games of the year. Worthy played in 926 NBA games, averaging 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3 assists per game. Worthy played in 143 play-off games and averaged 21.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game and had a .544 field goal shooting percentage. He ranks 5th all-time in Lakers team scoring (16320), 2nd all-time in team steals (1041), and 6th all-time in team field goal percentage (.521). Voted one of the top 50 NBA players of all time in 1996, Worthy was not a first-ballot inductee into the Basketball Hall of ...

The durable 7 ft 2 in (2.18 m) Gilmore once played in 670 consecutive games. Gilmore was chosen with the 1st overall pick in the 1976 ABA dispersal draft by the Chicago Bulls. He played for Chicago through the 1982 season (rejoined the team for part of the 1988 season, after which he was traded to the San Antonio Spurs, where he played through the 1987 season. Gilmore remains the NBA's career leader in field goal percentage (minimum 2000 shots made) with a 59.9 percentage. Gilmore also led the NBA in turnovers once (during the 1977-78 season). He then played the 1988-1989 season with Arimo Bologna of the Italian league, where he averaged 12.3 points and 11.0 rebounds and made the European All-Star Team. Kane Tribute
This is our tribute to Kane! ( Glen Jacobs ) he is going to be a future hall-of-famer! College Jacobs attended Quincy University in Illinois, where he played basketball, before joining Northeast Missouri State University (now known as Truman State University) on a basketball scholarship.[4][8] In the 1988-1989 season, he was an NCAA all-star; he is still listed in the Truman State University media guide as holding the record for highest field goal percentage for a single season (.621 in both the 1987-88 and 1988-89 seasons) and is the career leader in field goal percentage (.567). Jacobs also led the 1988-89 team in several categories, including blocked shots (1.0 per game) and rebounds per game (6.9 per game). However, despite his success, Jacobs opted to switch to playing on the college football team. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in English and then did some junior high substitute teaching in the St. Louis area.[8] "After doing that, teachers have my respect; that's a pretty tough profession... So if I wasn't wrestling, I don't think I'd be teaching."[9] Career Early career Jacobs began his professional wrestling career in 1992. He was first known as Angus King[1] when he debuted in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Jacobs later moved south and began wrestling as The Christmas Creature and Doomsday, appearing in the United States Wrestling Association and as Unabomb in Smoky Mountain Wrestling, where he held the SMW Tag Team Championship with Al Snow in a team ...

Kevin Garnett Highlights - BOS @ MIA (Nov 29, 2009)
KG shot a near-perfect 11-12 on an assortment of shots -- jumpers, layups, reverses, running hooks, putbacks -- in a road win against the Miami Heat on Sunday November 29, 2009. He scored 24 points in total. According to the Associated Press, this was the third time in KG's career that he made (at least) 11 field goals AND shot better than 90% in a game: - Mar 30, 1999, Timberwolves vs Mavericks (11-12) - Feb 3, 2006, Timberwolves at Trailblazers (12-13) - Nov 29, 2009, Celtics at Heat (11-12) And according to the Elias Sports Bureau, KG's 11-12 matches the "highest field-goal percentage in one game by a Celtics player over the last 15 years (minimum: 10 field-goal attempts)." Ricky Davis also went 11-for-12 in Sacramento on February 17, 2004. Having shot a perfect 6-6 in the previous game (against Toronto), KG opened this game a 7-7. In the three games since his game-winner at the buzzer in New York on November 22nd, KG shot 22-27 (81.5%). Celtics improve to 13-4, currently second place in the East behind the 14-4 Magic.

Alex Henery Career Highlight's 06-10
Alex Henery completed one of the most outstanding careers for a place-kicker in college football history in the Holiday Bowl. Henery continued to amaze with his accuracy and leg strength during his senior season, while also ranking as one of the Big 12's top punters for the second straight year. Henery was most impressive in the postseason, connecting on 14-of-14 postseason field goals, including a 4-of-4 effort in the 2009 Holiday Bowl. The Omaha native connected on 18-of-19 field goals in 2010, with his only miss a blocked 51-yard attempt. His successful kicks include 10 from beyond 40 yards, and two from 50+ yards. He owns three of the top five single-season field goal totals in school history, including an NU record 24 in 2009. Henery was also perfect on 54 PAT attempts this season, and ended his career with 116 straight made extra points. Henery's accuracy in 2010 has improved his career mark on field goals to 68-of-76, and his 89.5 percent career accuracy percentage bettered the NCAA record of 87.8 percent. He also made 193-of-194 career PATs and his combined accuracy rate of 96.7 percent also shattered an NCAA record.
