KHOEKHOEGOWAB (NAMA & DAMARA).
Khoekhoegowab (Nama / Damara), a Central Khoesaan language which is nowadays confined entirely to the Republic of Namibia as one of the endangered language that was almost lost by Namaqua (Hottentot) people within South Africa. In modern days, most of those Namas in Northern Cape who claimed to have lost their language would also like to learn it again.Khoikhoi Nama (Khaob) King Hendrik !Nanseb Witbooi 1830-1905

Stephen Bennett: Portrait Artist in Kenya, Namibia, Maldives, and UAE
Please Visit: www.theportraitpainter.com and www.facesoftheworld.net My second African sojourn began on December 12, 2002 in Nairobi, Kenya. My objective was to learn as much as possible about the Namibian culture, and especially to meet as many of the Namibian indigenous people as possible. We flew from Nairobi to Windhoek the capital of Namibia, located in the heart of the country.Namibia is a Sub- Saharan arid country on the west coast of Africa between South Africa and Angola. It is so dry that when clouds come into the sky people stop and take notice. From Windhoek we set out to the northeast to the border of Botswana, to the towns of Tsumkwe and Gam. There we met up with the San Bushmen or Kung people and Herrero people. The San are a hunter and gatherer society, one of the oldest continuous cultures indigenous to Africa. Their language is unique for its phonetic clicking sounds. Now they make their home on the edges of the Kalahari and Namibian deserts. Like many westerners, I was first introduced to the San people through the cult-classic movie, "The Gods Must Be Crazy" and while visiting the San, I had the good fortune to meet and paint Gag'o #Oma, the San bushman star of that movie. He is indeed a special person, and meeting him was one of the major highlights of my trip. His portrait is entitled, of course, The Gods Must Be Crazy. The Hererro people are a group whose women can be identified by the large wrapped fabric hammerhead shark looking headpieces or ...

opium [ Damara Megido ]
I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING USED IN THE VIDEO!!! (omg PLEASE watch in HD it's crap otherwise) ''I let go, let myself inhale the vapors in small degrees Evaporated like the smoke in an ashy cloud My opium's not a serum, my opium, opium My opium's not a serum'' My tumblr: meenahsexual.tumblr.com I love this song. Heard it today for the first time in ages and suddenly felt inspired? I like Damara I know there's lots of people bitching about her especially because of Cronus (I like him too) but whatever come on guys. I also know I should be finishing all of those mep parts, I'll get to that too Making this really relaxed me idk except for CLPD being a major dick again, that kind of killed the mood a few times but I came up with a way to solve it so all was cool again CREDITS: @tumblr aradiajones saltandguns dirku littlebirdkisses pooffle @deviantart kurospoons I don't have the source for one of them though, I'll work on finding it. Damaraland Namibia, Nambia
Damaraland from the air. Flight from Palmweg to Doro Nawas airstrip. Apart from its fascinating animal and plant life, the Huab Nature Reserve is characterized particularly by its unique rock formations. The manifold landscape is the outcome of a history of geological development which took place during the last 2 billion years. Damaraland is one of the most scenic areas in Namibia, a huge, untamed, ruggedly beautiful region that offers the more traveller a more adventurous challenge. Here there are prehistoric water courses with open plains and grassland, massive granite koppies and deep gorges. Towards the west, the geography changes dramatically with endless sandy wastes, that incredibly are able to sustain small, but wide-ranging, populations of desert-adapted elephant, black rhino, giraffe, ostrich and springbok. These animals have adapted their lifestyles to survive the harshness of the sun-blistered, almost waterless desert spaces. Elephant move through euphorbia bush country, and can travel up to 70km in a day in search of food and water and unusually, do not destroy trees in their quest for food. Follow black rhino cow and her calf in typical Damaraland 'melkbos' terrain. Together, Damaraland and Kaokoland are known as the Kaokoveld.
