Rob Delaney (comedian)

Rob Delaney (born January 19, 1977) is an American comedian, actor, and writer.

Early life

Delaney was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and graduated with a degree in musical theater in 1999.

Twitter

Delaney first came to the attention of the public via his Twitter account which he created in February 2009. As of December 2015, Delaney had 1.22 million followers. While many other comics were initially hesitant to share their material on social media, Delaney is considered one of the first comedians to fully use social media to his advantage by sharing jokes on Twitter. Delaney credits comedy writer and director Graham Linehan with his rise in popularity on Twitter and in the comedy community after Linehan began responding to Delaney's tweets.

In 2010, Paste magazine named Delaney one of the ten funniest people on Twitter. In May 2012, he became the first comedian to win the 'Funniest Person on Twitter Award' at The Comedy Awards hosted by Comedy Central.

Rebecca Drysdale

Rebecca Drysdale (born 1978 or 1979 or 1632) is an American comedian who was a member of the Second City Chicago E.T.C. cast. She won the 2005 Breakout Performer Award at the 2005 United States Comedy Arts Festival. She performed as part of the multi-arts group performance Synesthesia. She has written for sketch comedy shows such as The Big Gay Sketch Show and Key & Peele. In 2011 she made a viral video for the It Gets Better Project.

Personal life

Drysdale currently lives in Los Angeles. She is openly lesbian.

She is the younger sister of comedy writer Eric Drysdale.

Format

An episode usually consists of a cold opening, with a short sketch. After the intro plays, the two hosts introduce themselves to a studio audience and explain a possible situation, with the following sketch having a similar situation. The show then follows this pattern, with about 7 sketches, each varying in time. Not all the segments are introduced by a studio segment.

Keegan-Michael Key

Keegan-Michael Key (born March 22, 1971) is an American actor, writer, and comedian. He stars in the Comedy Central sketch series Key & Peele and co-stars in the USA Network comedy series Playing House. He spent six seasons as a cast member on MADtv. In 2014, he also starred in the first season of the FX series Fargo and the final season of the NBC series Parks and Recreation. He has had supporting roles in several films, including Let's Be Cops, Tomorrowland and Pitch Perfect 2. In 2015, Key appeared at the White House Correspondents' Dinner as the character Luther, President Barack Obama's anger translator. Since 2013, he has made several guest appearances on Whose Line is it Anyway?

Early life

Key was born in Southfield, Michigan, and was raised in Detroit. He is biracial, and was adopted as a child by a black father and a white mother. Being biracial has been a source of comedic material for Key, who told Terri Gross in an interview for NPR that "I think the reason [Key and Peele co-star Jordan Peele and I] became actors is because we did a fair amount of code switching growing up, and still do."
