GestiFute full name Gestão de Carreiras de Profissionais Desportivos S.A. is a Portuguese company. It provides agent services for footballers. Unlike other football associations, Portugal allowed other parties to own part of the economic rights of the players, in order to receive part of the transfer fees. The company was founded by Jorge Mendes.
GestiFute involved in numbers of high profile move in European transfer market, such as Cristiano Ronaldo. Before FIFA set up a new law to restrict third parties ownership (with "significant influence"), GestiFute was actively involved in third parties ownership. However, it in fact conflict of interests, as GestiFute was both the owner and the agent of the player. After 2008, GestiFute only received agent fees for the deals the company broke, and not actively in third parties ownership, however a portion of the million transfer deal (such as 5%) was already half of, or even exceed the annual salary of the player.
In 2003, on 9 March, GestiFute announced that they represent Benfica's midfielder Tiago Mendes, who was previously represented by their rival company, Superfute. Approximately two months later, on 23 May, Tiago's teammate Ricardo Rocha traveled the same path, making a hugely surprising move to GestiFute. During the summer of that year, on 29 July, Porto bought 20% of Deco's economic rights from GestiFute for €2.25 million, plus 5% of Paulo Ferreira and Ricardo Carvalho economic rights, being this price a bit high than the presumed because the Portuguese team refused a €15 million offer from Barcelona,. In the following month, on day 4, the same team bought more 15% of Deco's economic rights for €1.25 million, plus 10% of Benni McCarthy. However after acquiring 35% rights, Porto still owned 85% rights before he was sold.

After that deal, Mendes gradually attracted more Portuguese players, including Jorge Andrade. Hugo Viana's move from Sporting Clube de Portugal to Newcastle United in the English Premier League for around €12 million in 2002 was his first major international transfer.

it's alright for now,
forget about this past year.
a list of my mistakes
hangs in the back of my head.
here's another chance
to make them all again.
snow falls, I'll get one more clean slate.
we'll talk about how we’ll change
t's not clear what's outside to draw you and others
there. a search for what you don't have, maybe you
weren't meant to find it. close the door, lock the gate,
we've got everything we need. a pattern of leaving and
moving, you're still empty-handed. what we have is a
generator, all you've found is a magnet. make something
clouds hang over creaking glass,
power lines strung above.
these streetlights hum this city’s song.
when I stand there, this is mine.
you advance with your head turned back, what you see is
behind you. do your journeys take place only in the past?
because the past changes according to the route you
follow. each new city, you'll find again a past you did
chicago steals the stars in the sky. at least it's
willing to share. thanks for keeping me in mind, but i
think i'll stay in tonight. no more bike rides late at
night, no more walks home under streetlight. but those
bare feet slide
across 3am kitchen floors,
you were up all night
playing detective with one glass eye.
and relief came in the morning
with sloppy haircuts and old t-shirts.
stay in old apartments
with ghosts in the walls.
church bells and airplanes
try to roll you out of bed,
the stars came out to send you off,
a long walk and a short conversation.
one last chance to admit that our something
was really more than nothing.
and with a glance, this is the last time
for you to see how much this meant to me.
say goodbye.
you never would, you never did.
I never could, I never said.
are you listening now,
because you never did before.
should I forget you now
we threw out the fall. we knew it'd still be there when
we moved. there's no mountains in this neighborhood but
the view from this roof isn't bad. the same songs never
sound old when they're played on your car radio. this
last chorus won't last the ride, so we'll get out and
we'll sing it ourselves. lake street was three years too
Have you noticed that all of our nights are late nights?
They happen to be my favorite.
Let's see how long we can stay awake.
These hours are ours to take.
So, let's take them home.
We'll drive just to drive, it doesn't matter where we go.
It doesn't matter...
Then back to your house, to crash on your couch.
These hours are our hours to take.
These hours are ours.
All of our nights are late nights.
Let's see how long we can stay awake.
it's 5 again, the air is thin.
no sunlight through my window.
an early drive to give up my time
and think about getting out of these 4 walls.
long roads, late nights,
one more month to go.
let's leave this place.
long august days have gone away,
and the nights of staring at the sky.
no lying back in summer grass
but this is what I chose.
remember this time spent
with our best friends
alone with all the things that i've done. living and
thinking in minutes. my small days spill into light
years. now i can pretend to live a life of starting over,
forget what i used to be. there are dead stars whose
light is trapped forever in time. how can i stand inside
so keep telling me these stories, i swear i'll listen and
not be jealous. grow up, go out, work on what matters. i
swear i'll listen and not be bitter. i can't decide quite
yet what i should do next. so just let go of these old
hopes and hold on to new regrets. if i could go back and
do it again, i don't know if i would make the same
i can't breathe this stale air, the walls are closing in.
the lamp is burned out, i haven't slept in weeks.
dressers decorate the walls, i hope they hold. the doors
are off their hinges, i haven't been back since. the
light peeks through the cracks, 53 days in this house.
enclosing footsteps, destroying the doors, the sound is
kicked out of the lighthouse
for sinking all your ships.
these summer fences are getting taller
so let’s climb up them while we can.
so I'll move back when I move on
and roll out the carpet for all your problems.
my eyes don't leave the ground
