Brazil nightclub fire kills 245 people Santa Maria's Tragedy
Last updated 28/01/2013 A fire swept through a crowded nightclub in southern Brazil early Sunday, killing at least 245 people and leaving at least 200 injured, police and firefighters said. Police Maj. Cleberson Braida told local news media that the 245 bodies were brought for identification to a gymnasium in the city of Santa Maria. That toll would make it one of the deadliest nightclub fires more than a decade. The cause of the fire is not yet known, officials said.Officials earlier put the death toll at 180. Civil Police and regional government spokesman Marcelo Arigoni told Radio Gaucha earlier that the total number of victims is still unclear and there may be hundreds injured. The newspaper Diario de Santa Maria reported that the fire started at around 2 am at the Kiss nightclub in the city at the southern tip of Brazil, near the borders with Argentina and Uruguay. Rodrigo Moura, whom the paper identified as a security guard at the club, said it was at its maximum capacity of between 1000 and 2000, and partygoers were pushing and shoving to escape. Ezekiel Corte Real, 23, was said by the paper as saying that he helped people to escape. '''I just got out because I'm very strong,'' he said. Local authorities in the Brazilian city of Santa Maria have said that cheap fireworks meant for outdoor use caused a deadly nightclub fire which has now claimed 235 lives. Sunday's blaze at the Kiss nightclub was Brazil's deadliest in five decades and the national government has declared three days of mourning while politicians discuss what measures can be taken to prevent such a tragedy happening again.

Helmet cam footage from wingsuit flights at the edges of the United States, including California (Lake Elsinore), Florida (Zephyrhills), Nevada (Mesquite), and Puerto Rico (Vega Baja).
Scene Details:
-At 0:14 flying through an opening in the clouds over Southern California before a storm rolled in.
-At 0:26 & 2:28 flying over the border between Nevada and Arizona, we all agreed that it seemed like flying over Mars.
-At 0:57 exiting quickly when the landing beach was spotted through the clouds over the ocean.
-At 1:05 footage captured while flying in the new Nevada state wingsuit formation record.
-At 1:48 third party footage of me flying and deploying my parachute during some flight training with Douglas Spotted Eagle.
-At 2:38 start of the Puerto Rico footage - amazing place - the only time I have exited over the ocean and flown back towards the coastline to land on a beach.
-At 3:58 is the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in my life flying over the coastline of Puerto Rico.
-At 5:36, the last scene was captured while participating in a vertical formation world record organized by Flock University, 25 expert wingsuit fliers exiting from two airplanes. Our break off group ended up getting lost in the clouds on that specific flight and landed in a field next to some cows miles away from the takeoff point.
