Rocky II (1979) Movie Review
Rocky II is a 1979 American film that is the sequel to Rocky, a motion picture in which an unknown boxer had been given a chance to go the distance with the World Heavyweight Champion. Sylvester Stallone, Carl Weathers, Tony Burton, Burgess Meredith, Burt Young and Talia Shire reprised their original roles. Hope you enjoy, as I talk about the solid sequel to the classic original. Let the rematch begin.

Mountains in Motion: The Canadian Rockies is an experimental short documenting the life of the alpine landscape through time-lapse photography. In an effort to highlight the wildness of these mountain places and how they have inspired explorers of the past, present and future, sequences were painstakingly gathered from exposed summits; by glacial lakes; and under aurora-filled skies.
Hours and even months of change lapses in a matter of seconds, providing the viewer with a rare insight into the ever-changing nature of the landscape. Dramatic peaks, crumbling glaciers, surging rivers and frozen waterfalls come alive with intense detail.
Weaving throughout the film are reflections of an early mountaineer, who is deeply moved by his own encounter with the mountains and the revelations of explorers who have come before him. “What is this power that lures me upwards, into the unknown,” he wonders, “that pulls me deeper, despite snow, wind and exhaustion?”
Made on a shoestring budget and with entirely volunteer hours, the film brought together artists from two vastly different parts of North America - Banff, Alberta, and Atlanta, Georgia. Strangers at the start, the film team developed strong friendships over the course of production and were united by their common goal of capturing the beauty and essence of a place that inspires them every day.
This 100% human-powered film combines time-lapse photography with an original story and musical score to bring the landscape center-stage and offers a thrilling new perspective that re-establishes the Canadian Rockies among the finest mountains in the world.

I wanted to test out the Canon 5D Mark II's video capabilities and doing an espresso making demo seemed like a nice way to do it. Obviously I have a lot to learn about working in a narrow depth of focus but it was a fun project to work on.

MONTAUK CHRONICLES
A FILM BY
CHRISTOPHER P. GARETANO
It has been referred to as “Area 51 east.”
Montauk is a remote U.S. town located on the very eastern tip of Long Island, New York.
High on a hill above the rocky waters of the Atlantic Ocean looms a giant rusted radar tower. It's a ghost relic of the past that local fishermen use as a marker to help guide their ships safely to shore. The old military tower is also a landmark for what once was an active Camp Hero Air Force Base.
The base has a recorded history that dates back to the revolutionary war. During world World War II Camp Hero was used as a defense station and was equipped with giant mark seven cannons that were loaded and ready in the event of a Nazi attack.
There are those who say that in the 1970’s the base was used for a much different purpose.
Montauk Chronicles is the story of three men who claim they were brainwashed and forced against their will by a clandestine organization to take part in secret experiments. Evil atrocities are said to have occurred deep beneath the surface of the Camp Hero Air Force base.
Alfred Bielek, Stewart Swerdlow, And Preston Nichols all tell tales of experiments that were conducted on nearly one hundred thousand people over the course of about ten years.
Kidnappings, murder, torture, time travel, mind control, and extra terrestrial contact are all said to have occurred at Camp Hero.
Montauk Chronicles is the very first and honest (cinematic) examination of the Camp Hero Legends.
It raises many questions of our place in the universe and what the future may hold for humanity.
It's an entertaining journey into the unknown and a study of fear, lies, paranoia and the truth.

Rocky 2 (1979) and Rocky 3 (1982) - Hagfilms Honest Reviews
Rocky II and III And so begins a long line of cash in sequels. Rocky II, the sequel to the film that established Stallone as a great actor, writer combo, now see's the main man taking to the directors seat. Is there nothing that this man can't do? After surviving his fight with Apollo Creed, Rocky retires, although Apollo desperately wants a rematch, despite declaring otherwise at the end of the last film. Rocky and Adrain get married, they settle down in a flash new house, and eventually Rocky has squandered his fight money and needs to get back to work. Whilst doing any old job he can get his hands on, mostly for peanuts, he decides that he should take up Apollo Creed on his offer of a rematch. Rocky II is an average sequel, but being a sequel it already degrades itself as a movie in its own right, and although it isn't the worst sequel I have seen, it still dumbs down the original concept, and hones in what the public may enjoy to see more of. It is, in essence, Rocky all over again, and the films that follow are basically the same again. But here there isn't so much of the grit. Its more melodrama than drama here. A corny rehash of the original characters, and besides their brilliant performances in the 1976 movie, here all that take part have eased up on the acting, it seems almost complacent, like these people are these characters and don't even have to try now. Adrian's shyness here seems wooden and over the top, whereas in the first film she was completely ...
