Bakewell - Peak District Videos
http://www.peakdistrictonline.co.uk and http://www.peakdistricttv.co.uk presents - Bakewell In The Peak District - Bakewell, so we're told, was once called Beadeca's Well and we're teased from the start with black and white images of long ago times, expertly evoking a bye gone era. But then the video erupts into glorious colour, the music upping its tempo as the scenes of Bakewell in glorious chromaticity, burst onto the screen.
The modern day town is bustling, with visitors meeting its charm for the first time- from all corners of the globe. But the wonderful old cottages and ancient church highlight a place visited through past centuries, a small town from the Anglo Saxon era. The atmospheric 3 ½ minute video lets us walk down streets and passages and Terrybnd, the talented film maker, evokes a meeting place for young and old alike, on foot, by pushchair or by car.
Stylised images transform from photography to drawings to ensure this video keeps up the pace. The pen and ink style shifts the gears as the music upholds its rhythm. With its pubs and coffee shops to allow rest between boutiques,
Bakewell is surely a trinket box of shopaholic delights. With succinct sentences from a wordsmith who's clearly done his research, Terrybnd has once again immortalised a beautiful place to stay and a wonderful town to visit. And with battling bakeries claiming rights to a pudding - how many places in the Peak District can boast that?!
Grab a cuppa, a Bakewell Pudding and put your feet up. Let Peak District TV and Peak District Online let you discover the Peak District yourself, once again, in their own imitable style !

Bakewell - Peak District Villages
http://www.peakdistrictonline.co.uk and http://www.peakdistrictvillages.co.uk Presents the market town of Bakewell.
The picturesque and historic market town of Bakewell is the largest settlement in the Peak District National Park, and is well known to residents and visitors alike as the `Capital of the Derbyshire Dales. Indeed, Bakewells Aldern House is the headquarters and administrative centre of the Peak District National Park Authority, and the sympathetically restored seventeenth century Market Hall, with its miniature gables and twin-light mullioned windows is now home to the excellent Peak Park Information and Exhibition Centre.

Peak District - Bakewell, Buxton, Tideswell and Castleton
Last weekend we headed to the wonderful Peak District, Derbyshire and here is part two of our adventures.
Join us for a tour of the Peak District National Park, taking in Bakewell, Buxton, Tideswell and Castleton.
Here are some notes about the area:
The Peak District National Park, Derbyshire was designated in 1951 as the first national park in the British Isles and welcomes an estimated 10 million visitors per year.
Firstly we visited Bakewell and in the video you will see The Rutland Arms, who boast that the famous Bakewell Pudding was first made there. The Bakewell Pudding is a jam pastry with an egg and ground almond enriched filling. Tasty!
Next we stopped at Buxton, a Georgian Spa town famous for its underground geothermal spring that has long been thought to have special, health properties and is now bottled and sold all over the world.
Next we stopped briefly at Tideswell where we show you the fourteenth century parish church, the Church of St John the Baptist, known as the Cathedral of the Peak.
Finally we stop at Castleton, home of the Peak Cavern, known as Devil's Arse and climb the steep hill up to Peveril Castle.

Bakewell Farmers Market
http://www.peakdistrictonline.co.uk presents Bakewell Farmers' Market -- The Superb New Video is Launched By Peak district TV
The chocolate box town with its very own pudding and infamous cattle market - but did YOU know there was a Farmer's Market in Bakewell? With a wealth of pasture land surrounding this glorious part of the Peak District, we really should have known!
With stunning shots of the famous Bakewell bridge and its crystal clear river, the video moves along the streets and cobbles of Bakewell -- the gem in the Peak District's crown. There are markets galore here - the cattle market the centrepiece of the collection, but it's the farmer's market which holds a wealth of home grown delights and has a home made charm, all of its own.
With interviews from stall holders loyal to the market from eleven years back, customers are sure of a warm welcome and a friendly chat. Moreover, they can rest assured the produce they are buying are British bred and from all parts of the Peak District's green and pleasant lands. The farmers themselves are so passionate about their produce, it shines through in the warmth of their eyes. They are proud to be at the market and they take pride in their work- and pass it on to us. It's so good to see the face behind the meat or vegetable, that you can know with confidence, was picked that very same day. Fresh food of a very high quality -- the farmer's market is awash with local people who know what they're selling. They have the expertise and we know they'll deliver what they promise.
A community of people, altogether under one roof, with a sense of humour and a passion for what they do. Bakewell Farmer's market is oozing with local charm and delectable delights. As the second biggest farmers market in the country, why haven't we heard about this until now? Perhaps you're one of the lucky people who have, but I know I'll certainly be visiting now. Opening every last Saturday of the month, the market has around 70 stall holders so it's well worth the day trip out! From bees to beer, beetroot to baskets, the Bakewell farmers market has something to offer every shopper.
A fantastic video, really getting inside the market and showing us, the lucky viewer, what's inside. Well done Peak District TV -- another fantastic video championing the very best the Peak District has to offer.

Bakewell Tarts Recipe
Yummy yummy Bakewell tarts! Being from England myself (yes sadly no more accent :c), these have always been one of my favorite things to eat when I go back to visit. This is a small and basic recipe, the ones I usually have are made with shortcrust pastry and have a lovely icing and 1/2 glace cherry on top, however these are perfect just for a simple treat!
