Francesco Totti, Michael Bradley and AS Roma traveled to Orlando, Florida during their mid-season break for a winter training session at ESPN's Wide World of Sports complex at Walt Disney World. Manager Zeman Zdenek put his team through the paces with some extra training sessions and a friendly match against USL Pro club Orlando City SC (USL Pro is the third tier of American soccer). The squad also enjoyed some time to relax and even took in an NBA game between the Orlando Magic and the Miami Heat. www.euronews.com European governments are under pressure to focus on Roma integration, and Kavarna in Bulgaria is given as one example of where things are working. Ten years ago Roma complained to parliament about discrimination in the town, and things dramatically changed when a new mayor came into office. But concerns remain about the overall situation in the country. Kavarna resident Sebastian Romanov told euronews: "The animals in Bulgaria are better integrated than the Roma and I will let you know why: because EU funds are not reaching the Roma children. "In order to achieve successful integration, we need funds. No one is employed. There are no jobs, but they want us to integrate. Please tell me how, explain it to me." In Kavarna, though, things look brighter. The Roma are now given help to build new homes and improve their neighbourhoods. The town has set an example in a country that has the second largest Roma population in Europe. The mayor set up a minorities integration service and new facilities are being provided. "The land we're on here used to be an eyesore, an illegal rubbish dump," said euronews' Seamus Kearney, reporting from Kavarna. "But now it's been totally transformed. 50 new homes have been built, and there are plans for many more. Roma leaders say none of this would've been possible without the financial help from the local authorities." A trip into 4500 still photographs, a travel where urban landscapes meet pastoral scenes to create a whirlpool around the theme of the video: the subjective point of view and urban life.
This video was created with a stop motion technique, it was conceived with a very simple Nikon Coolpix E4600. There is no video in it, but not less than 4500 still photos taken in the streets of Nancy and Epinal (France).

Roma es quizá la ciudad del mundo más monumental y por eso no puede faltar la visita a los grandes escenarios: El Coliseo (que visitan al año más de 6 millones de personas), el Foro (que en su tiempo era el centro del mundo), El Circo Máximo (con un aforo de 300.000 personas), la Boca de la Verdad, El Panteón, La Fontana de Trevi, Plaza de España, San Pedro... Y podríamos seguir así hasta agotarnos. Pero además de los más conocido de la 'ciudad eterna', los madrileños que nos hemos encontrado nos muestran rincones menos conocidos de sus siete colinas y barrios como el multicultural Termini o el Campidoglio, además de lugares cercanos como Ciampino, Castel Gandolfo u Ostia Lido, la playa de Roma. Estos madrileños han tenido tiempo para conocer más de cerca el carácter de los romanos, 'expontáneos y espabilados', muy parecido al nuestro. También conocemos la realidad en la calle que, como no podía ser de otra manera, se llena de manifestaciones por los recortes sobre todo en sanidad. Los servicios sociales allí, según nos cuentan, dejan mucho que desear. Conocemos historias no muy conocidas como la de los más de 2.000 judíos romanos deportados a la Alemania nazi. No se puede conocer del todo bien Roma si no te subes a un coche y vives en propias carnes el tráfico caótico de la ciudad. Y para quitarse el susto del cuerpo, nada mejor que comer algo, por ejemplo una pizza, pero cuidado que si no quieres parecer un guiri, nunca has de pedirla para comer al mediodía.

Romani Rose „Viele unserer Menschen erfahren immer noch Diskriminierung und Ablehnung in Deutschland. 58 Prozent der Bevölkerung lehnen Sinti und Roma als Nachbarn ab - das ist erschreckend", sagt Romani Rose, der kürzlich als Zentralratsvorsitzender an der Seite von Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel das Mahnmal für die im Nationalsozialismus ermordeten Sinti und Roma einweihte. Claudia Roth „Die Situation der Roma in Deutschland ist dramatisch", kritisiert die Grünen-Chefin. Sie würden zu Schmarotzern und Kriminellen abgestempelt und unter permanenten Menschenrechtsverletzungen leiden. „Wir müssen der Diskriminierung energisch entgegenstehen.
