Hague K8 HDV Boom Jib
Available To Buy Now - www.cameragrip.co.uk - Shipping Worldwide The Hague HDV Boom K8 has been developed to support the new range of HD camcorders such as the Sony Z1, V1, A1 etc. plus all other "handheld" camcorders under 4kg. The boom is fastened directly to the video head of any sturdy tripod, in the same way you would attach your camcorder, it can be mounted using both 1/4" and 3/8" screws. On the end of the boom is a camera plate (quick release adaptor shown in video is an optional extra) mounted on a pulley with a control cable coming down the boom to a second pulley at the side of the video head on the tripod. It is this control cable that keeps the camcorder level as the boom is raised or lowered. Tilting the tripod's video head controls the camera pulley on the end of the boom, enabling the camcorder to be tilted up or down. The radial ball bearings in the pulley ensure a very smooth tilt movement. The boom breaks down into 3 pieces making it quick and simple to set up, standard bar weights (not supplied) are used for counterbalance and there is an adjustable fine trim weight to achieve optimum balance. The boom can be used at 2 different lengths, at its longest length the camera will go from ground level to over 3.5metres high and at its shorter length to 2.5metres high. The boom breaks down into 3 pieces making it quick and simple to set up, standard bar weights (not supplied) are used for counterbalance and there is an adjustable fine trim weight to achieve ...

Best DSLR LED Video Light - F&V; HDV-Z96 Review
I had the chance to buy a set of HDV-Z96 LED Video Light kits from F&V; Professional Lights and thought I'd share a little with you. I've tried several different Video lights and for the money, power options & durability these lights deliver! Color Corrected to 5600K and with their easy to snap-on Tungsten color correcting filter, you should be able to get great results with this light! As someone so KINDLY pointed out that I left most of the important information out of this review... so there's some info that might help. Shot on a Panasonic AG-HMC150 @ 1/60th of a sec at F3.4 Effective ISO: 500 (no fixed ISO on this camera) Three Z-96 lights set up 5' from me at 3/4 power (each unit produces 50w at full power) Specs on the Z-96 Light: www.fvlight.com If you look around the web you should be able to find these light Kits at a pretty good price... I bought mine at coollcd.com.

【HD】 Cidade de Aveiro 1 (High Definition HDV)
Cidade de Aveiro Portugal hd - high definition HD 720 p - HD 1080 p (One of) the most beautiful town of Portugal: Aveiro is sometimes called "The Portuguese Venice", because of its canals and boats that remind one of the Italian city of Venice, as the city faced similar problems when it tried to conquer the water. It is the second most populous city in the Centro region of Portugal after Coimbra. However the city of Aveiro together with neighbouring Ílhavo, make one conurbation which has a population of 113908 inhabitants that makes it one of the most important by population density in Centro region within a few km². Aveiro is known in Portugal for its traditional sweets, the ovos-moles and the trouxas de ovos, both made from eggs. The city dates back at least to the 10th century when it was known by its first Latin name of Aviarium, literally, "a gathering place or preserve of birds". The Moors invaded and then held it until the 11th century, after which it became popular with Portuguese royalty. In the winter of 1575 a terrible storm closed the entrance to its port, ending a thriving trade in metals and tiles. The same storm also created a reef barrier at the Atlantic Ocean. The city is also famous for its production of salt and for its seaweed harvest, which is used for fertiliser in the area. jorgetavares.planetaclix.pt http jtavarespt.blogspot.com JT 2009

Afghanistan – touch down in flight
– Update: We are about to start a kickstarter campaign for our first feature film "The Hard Places". Please help us to spread the word and support us in order to make this next big project happen. – www.thehardplaces.com
As each of us has his own impression of Afghanistan that is predominantly marked with pictures of foreign forces, explosions and terror, we were privileged to have access to capture daily life and portrait some people of Afghanistan.
We hope the pictures you know will merge with the pictures you see and will enrich your view on the country in the Hindu Kush.
locations:
Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif
We wanted to go to other places as well but there were several incidents and security was too bad. Just one day after shooting at the blue mosque in Mazar-e Sharif a mob started from the very same place storming the UN building.
I have lived from 2006-2008 in Kabul doing my civil service for a humanitarian aid organization. This March I had the chance to go back with my fiancée to show her the place I love and to capture the beauty of this country with our cameras.
At the same time I made this as a tribute to a dear friend, who was shot in the streets of Kabul. Gayle inspired me in her love and dedication for the Afghans.
After a full summer with other work we had now the chance to do the editing.
Lisa-Maria Puy who composed the music for us was wonderful to work with. We met her on Zanzibar island and back in Germany she composed this wonderful soundtrack within just 3 days (and nights). She studied music at HfM Detmold in Germany and is a very talented artist and we hope to work with her again.
You can contact her on: puy-music[at]gmx.de
Last week the clip got published in the iPad edition of Süddeutsche-Zeitung Magazin.
I hope you enjoy and we are happy for your honest feedback.

Iceland
Iceland. Land of contrasts: Hot water and Ice, situated in the North Atlantic, right above the mid-ocean ridge that separates America and Europe.
Shooting was done in two stays (2 weeks each) in 2005 & 2006 (both in September) with a result of 15 hours of footage.
Camera was a SONY Z1. I used some COKIN semi-grey Filters in some of the shots to get the sky as dark as I wanted it to be. Almost no color correction was done in the post, but the timelapse and slo-mo.

Manfrotto 561B HDV-1 Monopod Preview
froknowsphoto.com Before heading out to CES 2013 I was on a quest to find tools that would lessen my load. I learned from CES last year that there is a TON I mean a TON of walking that you have to do. Because of this I did not want to use a DSLR for video like my D4 and have to set up a mono pod each and every segment. I knew this year since I was going to be filming with a smaller camera I would't need a huge tripod. That is where the Manfroto 561B HDV-1 Monopod comes into play. This monopod has a fluid video head and a way to stand on its on with a very clever design. This Monopod is sure to be lighter and easier to maneuver around CES and the 135K people that were there.
