MoonExpress: Pioneering the NewSpace Frontier - Bob Richards (SETI Talks)
SETI Talks archive: seti.org The health of our home planet and the survival of our species will only be secured through the use of space resources and the expansion of Earth's economic sphere to the Moon and beyond. Creating an off-Earth economy and multi-planet civilization will safeguard the long term prospects of humanity. Bob Richards is Co-Founder and CEO of Moon Express, Inc. (MoonEx), a privately funded lunar transportation and data services company competing in the Google Lunar X PRIZE competition and awarded a lunar services contact by NASA worth up to $10M, Bob has seen both sides of the private-public space question, being front and centre on a number of NewSpace initiatives and having played a key role in the NASA Mars Phoenix Lander mission. In this talk Bob Richards outlines how a carefully planned private Moon mission could set in motion the technological, political, legal and regulatory precedents that will allow humanity to rationally and peacefully embrace and develop the Moon as the world's eighth continent.

ISU 25th Anniversary - Peter Diamandis & Bob Richards - 12 April 2012
ISU was founded on April 12, 1987 at a Founding Conference hosted by MIT. Delegations from all over the world were invited by the ISU founders to gather and discuss the concept of an international university dedicated to interdisciplinary space studies. After three days of dynamic discussion, ISU was declared born and its three student founders, Peter Diamandis, Todd Hawley and Bob Richards, were joined by an incredible group of visionary space leaders to announce the institution, including Arthur C. Clarke, who would become ISU's first Chancellor and hold that position for 17 years. Now 25 years later, ISU has a central campus in Strasbourg, 3 masters programs, a vibrant Space Studies Program and thousands of alumni worldwide who are keeping the dream alive and helping uplift humanity to a multi-planet species. Co-founder Todd Hawley sadly passed away in 1995, a visionary gone too soon, but the dream and reality of ISU continues as related in this video by Peter Diamandis and Bob Richards on the 25th Anniversary of ISU's founding. [video (c) Copyright 2012 International Space University] * * * [On 12 April 1995, the creation of the ISU Credo turned out to be the last action the ISU founders were able to accomplish together. It is a document that today remains the defining cornerstone of ISU's philosophy and purpose.] www.isunet.edu ISU CREDO 12 April 1995 WE, THE FOUNDERS of the International Space University, do hereby set forth this Credo as the basis for fulfilling ...

Robert J. Richards, Human Nature and Belief, Wed 8 July
Darwins displacement of intelligent design Professor Robert J Richards (University of Chicago, Illinois, USA) Summary: Darwin constructed his theory utilizing some traditional resources, for the example final causes, purpose. Natural selection took on the properties of the recently departed deity, and thus acted intelligently and with moral concern. The end of the evolutionary process, as Darwin initially conceived it, was man with his moral sentiments. Darwin was not a neo-Darwinian.

BBC News on Bersih 3.0 - What the government doesn't want you to know
On the left, BBC's original broadcast of the 10PM (Malaysian time) news on the 28th of april 2012. On the right it's what astro was broadcasting. There was about 5 minutes delay on the malaysian version, so they had time to censored it. As some people misunderstood what I did here, there was no freeze frame and censored word on the astro broadcast, that was added by me to show you what part were censored from astro broadcast and keep the two videos in sync.
