Barnesville, Georgia
I'm driving through Barnesville, Georgia, along Old US 41 and US 41. US 41 was re-routed along a truck bypass on the southside of Barnesville, to keep thru trucks out of Downtown Barnesville. Old US .41 was turned back over to local maintenance. US 341 was truncated to the US 41 truck bypass. Barnesville is home to a two-year institution -- Gordon College (est. 1852; enrollment: 3703). Lamar County, of which Barnesville is the county seat, is one of the counties in Metro Atlanta, surprisingly enough. It's just south of Spalding County, separated to the north by Pike County.

US Military Gearing Up for Conflict
Marines and sailors will invade Jasper County, South Carolina, this week, The Island Packet reported on Sunday. The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit will train in the town of Ridgeland, the county seat, in preparation for "deployment to Mediterranean and African shores," 2nd Lt. Gerard R. Farao told the newspaper. The training will be coordinated with local, county and state agencies and officials, including the Ridgeland police and fire departments, a Marine Corps news release states. Residents are warned "training could take place at any time" this week in the town and they will "likely see and hear military vehicles and possibly see aircraft" along with soldiers in uniform carrying weapons. "Some exercises will take place at night. Residents might hear 'popping' sounds as Marines fire blanks. The blanks do not pose a hazard for residents, Farao said," the Beaufort Gazette reports. "Although there is no danger, Farao said residents should stay away if they see training under way or uniformed personnel." www.infowars.com NEW ITEM** [ProOne Water & Fluoride Filter] The ProOne filter by ProPur is a huge breakthrough in water filter technology infowarsshop.com NEW ITEM** [Divide And Conquer Skate Deck] www.infowarsshop.com Your Price:$49.95 [STAND UP FOR YOUR 2ND AMENDMENT RIGHT WITH THIS POWERFUL T-SHIRT] infowarsshop.com [New Shirt] Your Price $19.95 [INFOWARS THE MAGAZINE - FEBRUARY ISSUE www.infowarsshop.com GET YOUR COPY TODAY AND SPREAD THE TRUTH!! Clearwater Beach Florida, Pier 60, Pinellas County, Spring Break (pinellasadventures.com) "Best"
Clearwater Beach Florida One of the most popular beaches in the Country. Clearwater Beach Florida Present-day Clearwater was originally the home of the Tocobaga people. Around 1835, the United States Army began construction of Fort Harrison, named after William Henry Harrison, as an outpost during the Seminole Wars. The fort was located on a bluff overlooking Clearwater Harbor, which later became part of an early 20th century residential development called Harbor Oaks. University of South Florida archaeologists excavated the site in 1977 after Alfred C. Wyllie discovered an underground ammunition bunker while digging a swimming pool on his estate. The area's population grew after the Federal Armed Occupation Act of 1842 offered 160 acres (0.65 km2) to anyone who would bear arms and cultivate the land. Early settlers included the Stevens, Stevenson and McMullen families, who claimed and farmed large tracts of land. Prior to 1906, the area was known as Clear Water Harbor. The name "Clear Water" is thought to have come from a fresh water spring flowing from near where the City Hall building is located today. There were many other freshwater springs that dotted the bluff, many in the bay or harbor itself. View north from Sand Key toward Clearwater Beach Originally part of Hillsborough County, the first road joining Clearwater and Tampa was built in 1849, which dramatically reduced the prior day-long commute between the cities. During the American Civil War, Union gunboats ...
