St. Louis (/seɪnt ˈluːɪs/ or /sənt ˈluːɪs/) is a city and port in the U.S. state of Missouri. The city developed along the western bank of the Mississippi River, which forms Missouri's border with Illinois. In 2010, St. Louis had a population of 319,294; a 2014 estimate put the population at 317,419, making it the 60th-most populous U.S. city and the second-largest city in the state in terms of city proper population. The St. Louis metropolitan area includes the city as well as nearby areas in Missouri and Illinois; with an estimated population of 2,905,893, it is the largest in Missouri and one of the largest in the United States. St. Louis was founded in 1764 by Pierre Laclède and Auguste Chouteau and named after Louis IX of France. Claimed first by the French, who settled mostly east of the Mississippi River, the region in which the city stands was ceded to Spain following France's defeat in the Seven Years' War. Its territory east of the Mississippi was ceded to the Kingdom of Great Britain, the victor. The area of present-day Missouri was part of Spanish Louisiana from 1762 until 1803.
Analog VHF signal of KSDK channel 5 airing the 10pm newscast. Received in Springfield, MO on May 22, 1998. The antenna I used was a 3-element tri-band beam up 50 ft. The beam was tuned for the 10, 15 and 20 meter amateur radio HF bands. Not the best match for TV reception. Video posted for educational and historical purposes only. No copyright infringement is intended.
During KSDK-TV's Ann Rubin's live shot on 6/1/11, a car accident occurred, which allowed for quite a surprise. I apologise for the lack of good quality. (c) Gannett This video is meant for archival and educational purposes only.
The last minute of a 1982 newscast in which the Scripps Howard spelling bee is featured. Seen are anchors Dick Ford and Karen Foss, weatherman Dave Murray and sports caster Jay Randolph.

The St. Louis Blues won over the Chicago Blackhawks, 4 to 1 in the NHL Winter Classic at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Taken after "Jeopardy!" on Monday January 2, 2016 on KSDK-TV 5 St. Louis, Missouri.
March 24, 1994....and St. Louis tries to come to terms with the suicide of popular KSDK weatherman Bob Richards. Pay particular attention to the two weasels trying to get off the hook for what clearly was their doing.
