NY Times Editor-in-Chief Jill Abramson Runs From Bilderberg Question
wearechange.org We Are Change is a nonpartisan, independent media organization comprised of individuals and groups working to expose corruption worldwide. We are made up of independent journalists, concerned citizens, activists, and anyone who wants to shape the direction our world is going in. We seek to expose the lies of governments and the corporate elite who constantly trash our humanity. By asking the hard questions the mainstream media refuses to ask, we shine a little more light on truth. Furthermore, we seek to connect, educate, and motivate those who are interested in alerting the public to the pertinent issues that are affecting our lives each and every day. Our goal is to create a community of truth-seekers and peacemakers who share a commitment to nonviolent action. We Are Change is not so much an individual or group, but an idea, an idea that "We the People" are the change we wish to see in this world. Together, as residents of this planet, we can push back against those who wish to dominate our lives and begin to restore liberty to all. follow Luke @ twitter.com for updates and notifications for new videos and when a live video stream goes LIVE.

X-Men: First Class - Movie Review
Matt Atchity (editor-in-chief of Rottentomatoes.com), Ben Mankiewicz (host of Turner Classic Movies) and Alonso Duralde (Linoleum Knife podcast) review X-Men: First Class. See what other critics are saying: www.rottentomatoes.com Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN. Written by Twentieth Century Fox

Building Brains, Making Minds
On February 23, 2010, Dr. Lynn Nadel, University of Arizona Regents' Professor, Psychology, presented "Building Brains, Making Minds" in the first lecture of the College of Science's Mind and Brain Lecture Series. What does the brain do? The ancients thought it was a radiator, cooling the blood. Modern views see it as an activator, using inputs from the environment in combination with prior knowledge to generate behaviors (walking, talking, eating and drinking) and mental states (feelings, desires and beliefs). Recently the idea has emerged that the brain acts as a predictor, using inputs and stored knowledge to generate models of the world, and of the consequences of possible actions we and others might pursue. These models can predict what will happen in the next minute, hour or decade, and allow us to behave in the most adaptive way.

Show People with Paul Wontorek: "Miss Saigon" Broadway Legend Lea Salonga
Broadway fans everywhere know Lea Salonga as the preternaturally gifted original star of Miss Saigon, and films fans know her best as the voice that brought not one but two Disney princesses (Jasmine and Mulan) to life. Salonga is again sharing that legendary voice with New York audiences, in a return cabaret engagement at landmark New York venue Café Carlyle through June 25. In this week's episode of Show People, the Tony winner sits down with Broadway.com Editor-in-Chief Paul Wontorek to chat about her very un-Disney Princess-like love of splicer-slaying video games, fist-pumping the Tony Awards 20 years after her emotional win and why she would love to guest on Glee playing mom to her talented fellow Filipina, Charice Pempengco.

Stiletto Stoners - Women Who Smoke Pot NBC - Beverly Hills Cannabis Club
Marie Claire editor-in-chief Joanna Coles disagreed with Hollands view that there is a large social stigma attached to smoking marijuana. I have to say, thats not what we are hearing from readers, she said on the Today Show. First of all, its decriminalized in 13 states, and I dont think this is a generation of people who get excited about the fact that its illegal. The inspiration for the article, Coles said, was hearing from readers that they were feeling stressed. Clearly, the economy is a great deal of stress for people and they wanted a way to unwind. And they found more and more of them were doing this [smoking marijuana] and they found it had less impact on them when they were going to work the next morning. So they didnt want to drink. Its cheap and they felt they could do it in the privacy of their own home, and it was a very effective way to calm down. Holland agreed that marijuana may be a less harmful drug than alcohol, saying that marijuana has psycho-therapeutic properties that booze lacks. Its more of a mind drug, she said. Alcohols sort of a deadening, numbing maybe more like a body drug. On pot, people are unwinding and theyre relaxing, but theyre also able to think and maybe analyze or think clearly I think cannabis is more functional than alcohol, certainly in terms of anxiety. It can be a treatment or a medicine. Coles added that the Marie Claire article seems to have struck a nerve with readers. For additional information: Contact: Cheryl Shuman ...
