Our French Song~ Featuring: Marini :D
Our school has this French subject, and last Friday (2nd March 20112) we had this singing task, and we have to sing one out of three songs in French. I videoed some of the students, and this is my fujoshi *ups friend, Marini. She is a silent person in my class, so I decided to video her in order to create some memory (actually, my real purpose is to upload some of the videos to YouTube :P) anyhow, please enjoy ^^

GoPro (Part 1)
The Ben Youssef Madrasa was an Islamic college in Marrakech, Morocco, named after the Almoravid sultan Ali ibn Yusuf (reigned 1106--1142), who expanded the city and its influence considerably. It is the largest Medrasa in all of Morocco.
The college was founded during the period of the Marinid (14th century) by the Marinid sultan Abu al-Hassan and allied to the neighbouring Ben Youssef Mosque. The building of the madrasa was re-constructed by the Saadian Sultan Abdallah al-Ghalib (1557--1574). In 1565 the works ordered by Abdallah al-Ghalib were finished, as confirmed by the inscription in the prayer room. Its 130 student dormitory cells cluster around a courtyard richly carved in cedar, marble and stucco. The carvings contain no representation of humans or animals as required by Islam, and consist entirely of inscriptions and geometric patterns. This madrasa was one of the largest theological colleges in North Africa and may have housed as many as 900 students. One of its best known teachers was Mohammed al-Ifrani (1670-1745).
Closed down in 1960, the building was refurbished and reopened to the public as an historical site in 1982.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Youssef_Madrasa

L'uomo è altrove, impigliato e impegnato in cose lontane...

The magical and beautiful city of Fez
Fez, the imperial capital of the Marinid, watassid, and Alaouite dynasties, is the major intellectual and cultural capital of Morocco. In terms of monuments, it has as much as the other Moroccan imperial capitals together while the city's souks maintain the whole tradition of urban crafts. In the everyday aspects of the city's life, there is enormous fascination and, for the outsider, a real feeling of privilege.

Morocco.
he full Arabic name al-Mamlaka al-Maġribiyya (المملكة المغربية) translates to "The Western Kingdom". Al-Maġrib (meaning "The West") is commonly used. For historical references, medieval Arab historians and geographers used to refer to Morocco as Al-Maghrib al Aqşá ("The Farthest West"), disambiguating it from neighboring historical regions called al-Maghrib al Awsat ("The Middle West", Algeria) and al-Maghrib al Adna ("The Nearest West", Tunisia).[6]
The English name "Morocco" originates from Spanish "Marruecos" or the Portuguese "Marrocos", from medieval Latin "Morroch", which referred to the name of the former Almoravid and Almohad capital, Marrakesh.[7] In Persian and Urdu, Morocco is still called "Marrakesh". Until recent decades, Morocco was called "Marrakesh" in Middle Eastern Arabic. In Turkish, Morocco is called "Fas" which comes from the ancient Idrisid and Marinid capital, Fez.
The word "Marrakesh" is derived from the Berber word combination Thammurth n Akuch, meaning Land of God.
