Absolute Time and Space or Special Relativity
An objective refutation of the first postulate of relativity is offered ... eg the laws of physics are the same for all inertial reference frames. Clamor from the biobots is both anticipated and welcomed. Let there be fight ... flight ... light.

Philosophy of Time part 1 of 3
Leading philosophers including William Lane Craig, Quentin Smith, Paul Ricoeur, David Hugh Mellor, and Michael Friedman discuss time. Topics include the nature of space and time, the reality or unreality of time, Einstein's special theory of relativity, the A-theory and B-theory of time, whether the present enjoys a privileged status, and whether temporal becoming is merely an illusion.

Carl Sagan's: Cosmos Part 8 - Travels in space and time
Ideas about time and space are explored in the changes that constellations undergo over time, the redshift and blue shift measured in interstellar objects, time dilation in Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, the designs of both Leonardo da Vinci and spacecraft that could travel near light speed, time travel and its hypothetical effects on human history, the origins of the Solar System, the history of life, and the immensity of space. In Cosmos Update, the idea of faster-than-light travel by wormholes (researched by Kip Thorne and shown in Sagan's novel Contact) is discussed. Is NASA's James Webb Space Telescope a Time Machine?
This is the VOA Special English Technology Report, from voaspecialenglish.com | http If you could build a time machine, what would it look like? Maybe, it should look like a telescope. American scientists are building a space telescope that they hope will look back over distance and time to show the universe close to its beginning. But this distant past will mainly be seen in infrared light which telescopes and cameras can see, but not the human eye. The American space agency, NASA, is now building the largest space telescope ever. The James Webb Space Telescope is named after NASA's second director. It will have a mirror seven times the size of the one on the Hubble Space Telescope. The mirror is six and a half meters wide, made of lightweight beryllium and covered in gold. But it will mainly study the universe in infrared light. We usually experience infrared light as heat. But, if you have ever used a TV remote control, you know there are many uses for it. The James Webb Space Telescope is a complex engineering project. It will be huge -- about the size of a passenger jet. And it will have to be super-cooled. Because the telescope studies infrared heat, its mirror must be kept very close to absolute zero. That is minus two hundred seventy-three degrees Celsius. NASA is building the Webb telescope at the Goddard Space Center, outside Washington. The agency hopes to launch it in twenty-fourteen.Jonathan Gardner is a project scientist for the telescope. We asked him how ...

The Verse Of The Throne (Ayat al Kursi) Recited by Abdul Basit
Throne: seat, power, knowledge, symbol of authority. In our thoughts we exhaust everything when we say "the heavens and the earth". Well, then, in everything is the working of Allah's power, and will, and authority. Everything of course includes spiritual things as well as things of sense. This is Ayat al Kursi, the "Verse of the Throne". Who can translate its glorious meaning, or reproduce the rhythm of its well-chosen and comprehensive words? Even in the original Arabic the meaning seems to be greater than can be expressed in words. After we realise that His Life is absolute Life, His Being is absolute Being, while others are contingent and evanescent, our ideas of heaven and earth vanish like shadows. What is behind that shadow is He. Such reality as our heavens and our earth possess is a reflection of His absolute Reality. The pantheist places the wrong accent when he says that everything is He. The truth is better expressed when we say that everything is His. How then can any creatures stand before Him as of right, and claim to intercede for a fellow-creature? In the first place both are His, and He cares as much for one as for the other. In the second place, they are both dependent on His will and command. But He in His Wisdom and Plan may grade His creatures and give one superiority over another. Then by His will and permission such a one may intercede or help according to the laws and duties laid on him. Allah's knowledge is absolute, and is not conditioned by ...

Hindu Concept MAYA :The Greatest Secret - Is this World Real
thoughtshoppe.blogspot.com An important idea that Advaitins believe very strongly in is the concept of : Brahma Satya, Jagat Mithya -- the World is an Illusion, Consciousness is the Only Reality. This idea rests on three other concepts namely that of the Atman -- the Self, the Brahman -- the Supreme Consciousness and the elusive concept of Maya -- the Illusion. These three crucial concepts can be summarized as follows1 : Atman - the Self : The entire phenomenal world is bound by time, space and causation and as long as one is confined by these concepts, the experience is limited. Beyond the realms of time and space, there is an absolute and unconditional Reality that has no beginning and no end. That is Atman, the Self. The Self cannot be experienced by the senses. This Self is both within and outside the body. Unlike the body it is beyond death and decay. The Self is the fountainhead of the life force that animates and motivates the mind-body complex. According to Sankara, this Self is the all-pervading, self-illumined Consciousness. Brahman - the Supreme Consciousness : Brahman is the ultimate Truth within and without. Brahman is also all-pervading and self-illumined Consciousness and the relationship of the Brahman to the Self is that of the forest to the tree. The entire universe emanates from Brahman, exists in Brahman and at the time of dissolution returns into Brahman. Stepping beyond the primitive monotheism of the Judeo-Christian philosophy/theology, Sankara ...

Cosmic Indrama Saudagar 91 Random 01 [ While in search of MT ]
Too legendary Indian Continent's Cinematic Souls:: Abhinay Samrat Dilip Kumar the Great Yusuf Saab and His Highness Raj Kumar Saheb! Slight a humble tribute to Cinema while communicating with fellow R! ;o) A small clip from Subhash Ghai Ji's great melodrama Saudagar, 1991. Rajkumar Ji and Dilip Saab together after a long span of time, probably after they struck to each other in Paigham very long back. Please omit any errors or wrong vital/statistical entry that may you find. Just enjoy and feel the absolute cosmic space time! It little depicts of reality and local space time of the continent. Personally, as being fortunate enough to witness some classic and unique blends of different era, some timeless space time, as even not in so a distant past, such lives are watched very closely and have privilege to grow up amid some vibrations, at times more than the Cinema can offer! And above any personal interference, a sincere and heartfelt tribute & salutes to the Cinema and the souls, being the subject, being an affair for a routine Cine goer, yet a layman. Randomly. Keep watching,,, keep tuned!

Zimoun : Sound Sculptures & Installations, Sound Architectrues
Compilation Video V.2.9 / Last update: December 4, 2011
Using simple and functional components, Zimoun builds architecturally-minded platforms of sound. Exploring mechanical rhythm and flow in prepared systems, his installations incorporate commonplace industrial objects. In an obsessive display of simple and functional materials, these works articulate a tension between the orderly patterns of Modernism and the chaotic forces of life. Carrying an emotional depth, the acoustic hum of natural phenomena in Zimoun's minimalist constructions effortlessly reverberates.

«The sound sculptures and installations of Zimoun are graceful, mechanized works of playful poetry, their structural simplicity opens like an industrial bloom to reveal a complex and intricate series of relationships, an ongoing interplay between the «artificial» and the «organic». It‘s an artistic research of simple and elegant systems to generate and study complex behaviors in sound and motion. Zimoun creates sound pieces from basic components, often using multiples of the same prepared mechanical elements to examine the creation and degeneration of patterns.» Tim Beck
«Zimoun is best compared to a watchmaker of a self-reproducing time constructing his own gauging station.» Radjo Monk
«The clean, elegant sound sculptures combine visual, sonic, and spatial elements in an organically balanced entirely artwork. Using simple and well- conceived mechanical systems, Zimouns‘s work transforms and activates the space.» Jury Prix Ars Electronica 2010
«Zimoun creates complex kinetic sound sculptures by arranging industrially produced parts according to seemingly simple rules. Using motors, wires, ventilators, etc.., he creates closed systems that develop their own behavior and rules similarly to artificial creatures. Once running, they are left to themselves and go through an indeterminable process of (de)generation.
These quasi autonomous creatures exist in an absolutely synthetic sphere of lifeless matter. However, within the precise, determinist systems creative categorioes suddenly reappear, such as deviation, refusal and transcience out of which complex patterns of behavior evolve.» Node10
«It is a poetic and humorous absurdity we find in Zimoun’s work, which opens up a wide, refreshing and enriching space for discoveries, associations and a multitude of approaches.» Nina Terry
«The components used in Zimoun’s work are simple, functional and raw, whereas only aesthetically high-level and purposefully chosen elements and materials are used in minimalist fashion. Through radical reduction, Zimoun creates works of art which allow for a plethora of associations without being pinned down to a specific direction. Radical abstraction functions rather like a code in the background of things, thus elegantly avoiding an insinuation of direct, concrete attribution. Thanks to the abundance of mechanical activity, the range of perception, possibilities and interpretations is wide open.» Amanda Neumann
«Indeed, one of the refreshing elements of this work is the immediacy with which one can understand the sound-making process, where each micro-event is present, visible, and concrete. Yet at the same time the resulting complexity of the total system, conjured before your eyes, defies any attempt to dissect it. You might find yourself feeling there is a «prime mover» at work behind the scenes, but in fact it is just the characteristic reaction of materials behaving together and in unison with the space of their activity. A magic of the real.» Xymara

Art is supposed to activate and focus our attention. Zimoun’s work seems to be a sweeping and beautiful example for this.» Anton Richter
«The works convince through their elegant and clever simplicity in an inconspicuously complex setting.» Stephen Braun
«Zimoun’s primary instruments are entirely of his own making, each a large-scale installation of small mechanical devices — tables lined with whipping little bits of tubing, small sets of fetishistically situated mini- motors. They are architecturally precise and their beauty is forged by that precision. The meticulous engineering of Zimoun’s work is a set- up — not an end unto itself, but a staged step toward its end result, an orderly step enacted so as to let chaos flourish. His chaos takes place in close settings, in carefully defined spaces, in systems as thoroughly considered as a laboratory experiment. And the sound emited by them is not an after effect, or an afterthought. It’s a core principal of his practice.» Marc Weidenbaum

DIY Inexpensive Camera Slider
UPDATE: 7-03-11: New, updated design for slider dolly. Check it out here: http://www.vimeo.com/25937230
This video is not at all obsolete. Still a good resource for DIY. Other video has a look and the new design, plus a materials list.
Inspired by the DIY photo gear building sites (my favorite of which is CheesyCam.com—so many ideas for projects buried in there. Oh man), anyway, I set out to put together a cheaper alternative to my linear motion-based camera slider. While I like it (the "real" slider, that is), it’s a little complex, and by the time you get it to work properly you’re in it for at least $100. The motion system alone will cost you at least $80, then you need something to mount it on, and some way to mount your camera on it. Do it right, however, and you’re rewarded with exceptionally smooth moves.
But the kind of stuff that make my pants tight is when you can get 98% of the effectiveness for 28% of the cost (or even less if you shop well and improvise a little), and that’s where this rig comes in.
It uses a small trolley built from angled aluminum (or steel, or some other metal) and held together with threaded rod so you can adjust the track width for different track surfaces. Wheels are mounted at perpendicular angles to each other to lock the carriage on the track side to side and create a smooth rolling platform.
We used skateboard wheels for our rollers, mounted on 5/16-in. bolts with short pieces of bushing material spacing them out for proper clearance. A piece of scrap plastic purchased from a marine salvage yard serves as the deck, and attaches to the threaded rod crosspieces with zip ties. Enough room was left for the width to be adjusted to accommodate a variety of “tracks.”
Our “track” consists of a Harbor Freight brand adjustable sawhorse. The top is a nice, wide and square steel channel that makes a smooth and sturdy base for the roller. The legs are even adjustable individually, and it folds completely flat for use right on the ground.
The entire assembly, including the sawhorse (which is currently on sale for $22) would probably cost under $50 to duplicate if you were a truly awful shopper and had absolutely nothing to start with. Ours is made almost entirely from scrap from around the garage, and if you do any light fabrication, you probably have at least a few items laying around to save you some money.
FYI, here’s some links to the stuff we actually bought, or at least similar stuff, since some of it has been around for a while:

Skateboard wheels and bearing sets: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=skateboard+wheels+bearings+&_cqr=true&_nkwusc=skateboard+wheels+bearnings&_rdc=1
Here’s the marine surplus place I get a lot of bits and pieces. They list inventory on their website, but there’s nothing like going out back to pick through the true surplus and wonder what to build next: http://www.surplusunlimited.com
Talking head stuff shot on a Canon HF S100 with a Rode Videomic. Slider stuff shot with a Canon T2i with a 50mm f/1.8. Various LED lights gave me the healthy, almost Nordic pallor.

Absolute Body Control
Epopoeia of the Food and Drink of the United States (A Dream in Hell)
1
Beautiful like a baby calf is the song of chicken fried with batter,
the long red and white picnic tablecloth is finer than the finest lady’s legs, the finest thing there is to embark upon a heaping bowl of coleslaw,
shrimp from the gulf coast are delicious, gushing with wine as if feeling,
like honey mussels, in Redmond or Olympia, harvested by fishwives, in the seaweed,
and the glory of banjos in Baton Rouge, their juices course through them like
ageless autumn lemons,
like mom's fragrant pot pie, chocked full of juicy stew, widens the gullet,
and, baked, cries out blooming peach tree blossoms.
2
What would you say to some barbecue ribs, burning hot
grilled on a charcoal fire in June on the banks of a man made lake,
pines or cedar trees that sum up the dramatic atmosphere of a
damp sunset at Lake Lanier or Stone Mountain,
or to a clam chowder, whose name is inextricably related to Manhattan or
Rhode Island or New England?
No, you hunt quail and you grill it, just like you hear honky-tonk or stars and stripes
at the feet of Mount Rushmore, and fried catfish along the Chattahoochee
where it leaps into the sacred sizzling skillet, superbly fine
river fish, makes fishing boats rich while the sisters Lee,
as if in pain, sweat what's human and divine on the grand antique family fiddle.
3
Tremendous turkeys that smell like summer, almost human, autumn shades of
walnut or chestnut, I eat them everywhere, and in D.C. I kiss them,
like the vats where barley sighs like the prettiest girl in Jersey
raising her skirt underneath the lights of the big apple, same
as the roof off of a block party with streamers and flags where we drink in red plastic cups
a substantial whiskey and beer,
or the love mattress, upon which we set sail and sighing face each other and
the night’s tremendous oceans, into whose horrible darkness,
black and tenacious flows the bloody calla lily,
or the teardrop that falls in our moths as we joyfully sing.

Napa Valley wine is enormous and dark in the California sunset, and when
it's in your blood, nostalgia
and the apology to heroism sing in the wheels of spurs to
the beast’s hide, dancing to the fundamental tune of backwater rapids
against the frothy red glare.
5
Nicely aged bourbon bellows in its cellars like a great sacred cow,
and St. Louis will be golden, like a rib-eye on the grill, all over
the bloodied paths towards Oklahoma, autumn's
guitar will weep like a soldier's widow,
and we'll remember everything we didn’t do and could have and
should have and wanted to, like a madman
staring down a town's abandoned well,
watching, ear shattering, the engines of youth rev down dawn's
wide gust
crumbling like memories in the abyss.
6
The saddle glows all across the Midwest, mountain range to mountain range, booming like a great combine with its 20 foot span, booming
like a cow auctioneer or a righteous pastor or tornado season,
lasso raised up against the sky
on top of a guffaw, a hyuck or a yeehaw, splashed with sun and hard work, where manure perfumes dung heaps like a domestic god, with tremendous balls like a widow.
7
A mighty log cabin with its open yard, apple trees, front porch
scented with remote antiquity,
where the bootlegger and his still would sing, drop by drop, a sense of eternity into
the water, recalling old ancestors with its tremulous pendulum,
exists, same as in Madison as in Franklin or Fairview or Springfield,
although it’s the little town of Hodgenville Kentucky that most proudly proclaims the wooden troughs or pig iron pots, wide open spaces, the Appalachians, the original wild west, civil war and emancipation, in little log cabins,
from Tennessee to Ohio, who express it proudly in tremendous language, eating ears of pigs eating ears of corn.
8
Because, if it's necessary to stuff yourself with hot dogs in a Detroit Coney before dying,
on a rainy day, blessed with a strawberry milkshake from fresh upstate dairy, and smoke, bathing in conversation, friends and the munchies, launching yourself into terrible leaps and bounds, blubbering, savoring the booming chili in spoonfuls and fries,
it's also necessary to get your meat from the Kansas City stockyards in March, when the pigs
look like televangelists and the televangelists look like swine or hippopotamus,
and wash the food down with some fiery sips from a short glass,
yes... in Dallas or Fort Worth the corn tortillas look like the local ladies: wide white waists and sleepy half moon eyes, since, ticklish and cuddly,
they turn their faces, and let themselves be kissed, unendingly on either end.
9
And the chit'lins, swimming and searing in broth and tabasco, and the cornbread that moaned in broiling bacon fat, is blessed where thunder rolls in wide whips, along the Mississippi, between one drink and the next,
but it never surpasses a gamy partridge, savored in the dry underbrush of July,

The BioCentrism Theory
Edited by Agape Satori www.facebook.com/agape.insitori Spoken Word by Robert Lanza THE BIOCENTRISM THEORY Without consciousness, "matter" dwells in an undetermined state of probability. Any universe that could have preceded consciousness only existed in a probability state. What we perceive as reality is a process that involves our consciousness. An "external" reality, if it existed, would by definition have to exist in space. But this is meaningless, because space and time are not absolute realities but rather tools of the human and animal mind. The behavior of subatomic particles, indeed all particles and objects, is inextricably linked to the presence of an observer. Without the presence of a conscious observer, they at best exist in an undetermined state of probability waves. The structure of the universe is explainable only through biocentrism. The universe is fine-tuned for life, which makes perfect sense as life creates the universe, not the other way around. The "universe" is simply the complete spatio-temporal logic of the self. Time does not have a real existence outside of animal-sense perception. It is the process by which we perceive changes in the universe. Space, like time, is not an object or a thing. Space is another form of our animal understanding and does not have an independent reality. We carry space and time around with us like turtles with shells. Thus, there is no absolute self-existing matrix in which physical events occur independent of life ...
