Matthew Staton "Matt"^[1] Bomer (born October 11, 1977) is an American film, stage and television actor, best known as the star of the USA Network television series White Collar, which premiered in 2009.

Making his television debut with Guiding Light in 2001, Bomer received notice with his recurring role in the NBC television series Chuck as Bryce Larkin. Bomer has featured in supporting roles in such films as the 2005 thriller Flightplan and the 2011 science fiction thriller In Time.

Bomer has also starred in the Dustin Lance Black play, '8', on Broadway and at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre as Jeff Zarillo — a plaintiff in the federal case that overturned California's Proposition 8.

Matt Bomer was born in Spring, Texas, a suburb of Houston, the son of Sissi and John Bomer, a former Dallas Cowboys draft pick.^[2][3] He attended Klein High School (located outside of Houston) with fellow actor Lee Pace.^[3] In addition they both acted at Houston's Alley Theatre, a non-profit theatre company.^[2]

In 2001, Bomer graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.^[4]

After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama in 2000, he moved to New York City, New York, and worked on stage until he was cast in a small role, as Ian Kipling, on All My Children,^[5] a daytime soap-opera serial on the ABC television network. From 2001 to 2003, he portrayed the role of Ben Reade on another daytime television soap opera, Guiding Light, on the CBS television network.^[6]

He starred as Luc, Tru's (Eliza Dushku) ill-fated love interest, in Tru Calling (2003–2004), a supernatural, science-fiction television series on the Fox television network.

Bomer appeared on North Shore (2004–2005), a prime-time television soap opera, as well as in Flightplan (2005), a thriller film with Jodie Foster.

In the slasher film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006), Bomer portrayed Eric, a Vietnam-War veteran who is driving across Texas to re-enlist after his brother is drafted. The brothers run afoul of Sheriff Hoyt and are taken captive by the Hewitt family. Bomer costarred in Traveler (2007), a short-lived midseason replacement television series which premiered on ABC on May 30, 2007. He has had the recurring role of Bryce Larkin on action-comedy series Chuck (2007–2009) on the NBC television network.

On October 23, 2009, Bomer began starring in White Collar, which chronicles the fictional partnership between a con artist named Neal Caffrey (Bomer) and FBI agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay).^[7]

BuddyTV ranked him #1 on its list of "TV's Sexiest Men of 2011".^[8]

In September 2011, Bomer starred in the Broadway debut of Dustin Lance Black's play, '8', a staged reenactment of the federal trial that overturned California's Proposition 8.^[9] In March 2012, he was featured in the Wilshire Ebell Theatre production as well, portraying Jeff Zarillo, one of the plaintiffs in the trial.^[10][11]

In October 2011, Bomer appeared in the science fiction thriller film In Time, in which he plays a 105-year-old man Henry Hamilton, who gives his "time" to Justin Timberlake before committing suicide, setting the main plot into motion.

Personal life[link]

Bomer is in a relationship with publicist Simon Halls. They have three sons via surrogacy, including a set of twins.^[12][13] Bomer publicly came out as gay in February 2012, when he thanked Halls and their children during his acceptance speech for a Steve Chase Humanitarian Award.^[13]

Bomer is good friends with his high school classmates Lee Pace and Lynn Collins.^[14]

Timothy Robert "Tim" DeKay (born June 12, 1963) is an American character actor. His first on screen acting job was as corporate giant Larry Deon on seaQuest 2032. He was a cast member of Party of Five from 1997–1999, Carnivàle from 2003-05 and Tell Me You Love Me in 2007. He has also guest-starred on a number of top-rated television series, including Seinfeld, Friends, CSI, My Name Is Earl, NCIS, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Scrubs, and Chuck.

DeKay is currently starring in the USA Network series White Collar, which chronicles the partnership between a con artist (played by Matthew Bomer) and an FBI agent (DeKay).^[1]

Personal life[link]

DeKay was born in Ithaca, New York and grew up and attended school in nearby Lansing. He was a school athlete, playing both varsity basketball and baseball. He attended Le Moyne College to study Business and Philosophy. After a short time in baseball, he decided to pursue a career in theater.^[2]. DeKay's Character makes a reference to this in the White Collar episode "Stealing Home", where he talks about playing for the Minnesota Twins of the MLB.

He returned to Le Moyne in May 2010 in the role of commencement speaker, where he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters honoris causa.^[3] He attended Rutgers University, where he received an MFA and met his wife, actress Elisa Taylor; the couple has two children.

The Commencement Program from Le Moyne College includes the following: "Mr. DeKay's castmates say it was clear from the start that he was leading man material ... When he graduated [from LeMoyne] with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1985, he still planned for a career in business or law. It soon became clear, though, that the theater was his true calling. After taking a few courses in directing at Syracuse University, Mr. DeKay headed to Rutgers University, where he earned a master's degree in fine arts ... Now a lifetime member of the Actors Studio, Mr. DeKay has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California, and appeared on numerous top-rated TV shows."

He appeared in two episodes of Seinfeld — "The Soul Mate" and "The Bizarro Jerry" — as Elaine's boyfriend Kevin. He would work with Julia Louis-Dreyfus again in The New Adventures of Old Christine, where he plays the temperamental boyfriend of Louis-Dreyfus's character "Old" Christine Campbell for three episodes.

In addition to his roles in film and television, his resume includes numerous theatrical credits, with performances in plays both on and off-Broadway, including: Ridiculous Fraud at the McCarter Theatre; Billy Budd at the Circle in the Square Theatre; Someone to Watch Over Me with the Denver Theatre Company; The Merchant of Venice on the Hartford Stage; and the national tour of The Lion in Winter. In 2009, he was both director and producer of the short film This Monday. The film has been included in at least half a dozen short film festivals, including Cannes Short Film Corner. The Palm Springs International Short Film Festival (ShortFest) review stated: “Absolutely the Best of the Palm Springs Short Film Fest 2009, ‘This Monday’ features tone-perfect directing by Tim DeKay and screen-writing by Michael Santorico. Four Stars (out of four)”.^[4]

In 2009, DeKay began starring in the USA Network comedy-drama White Collar as FBI agent Peter Burke. He made his directorial debut in the episode "Stealing Home", which premiered in 2012.

Alex Rizzo (January 12, 1968 – May 16, 2002) was a professional wrestler, best known for his work in Extreme Championship Wrestling as Big Dick Dudley, the eldest of the Dudley Family.

Professional wrestling career[link]

Rizzo began training with Johnny Rodz alongside the likes of Taz, Phil Theis and the Santiago Twins and became one of the first students to graduate from the now infamous school in Brooklyn. He claimed his first professional matches came in late 1986 in Puerto Rico alongside fellow Rodz students and future ECW alumni Rocco Rock and Abdullah the Butcher. He returned to the U.S. after his tour of Puerto Rico and began Wrestling on the East-Coast independent scene under the name of Alexander the Great. While being a monster wrestler with a great physique, Rizzo rarely became the star attraction. Still, he continued honing his skills, until coming to a Philadelphia-based organization, Eastern Championship Wrestling (ECW), in 1994. He entered just as the federation began to take off, breaking away from its National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) ties and becoming Extreme. This allowed Rizzo a chance to shine, and he took it, transforming into Big Dick Dudley, the man from Dudleyville a creation he said was thought up between himself, Taz and Tommy Dreamer.

With his partner, Dudley Dudley, the "brothers" became a strong group in ECW, with their strong-arm antics. Big Dick became known for his powerhouse finisher, the Total Penetration, a double arm chokeslam into a tigerbomb, as well as his dangerous habit of attacking fans at ringside. Soon, the Dudley Family grew, including Buh Buh Ray, D-Von, Snot, Spike, Psycho Sam & Dances With Dudley, creating a very dangerous family. Big Dick, being the eldest as well as the largest, formed the heart of the group, planning out attacks and leading the group. He also had to deal with brotherly problems, including feuds with D-Von and Spike.

Although Big Dick was the leader of the family, he rarely was given title shots, instead content to sit back and direct his brothers in their quests for gold. His aid to Buh Buh Ray and D-Von helped create the great tag team that was the Dudley Boyz, and his giant stature made Spike even more popular in their feud. As some of the Dudley family left, the remaining members, Buh Buh Ray and D-Von, became Tag Team Champions. They soon became top heels in the company. He also carried on an almost year-long feud with Spike, the biggest brother against the smallest, with the fans firmly on the side of the underdog. In 1999, after many disagreements with Paul Heyman over what Rizzo felt was a lack of use of his character he finally left the company. Rizzo went on record after his departure saying that he felt he never got the opportunities he deserved, going as far as saying that he felt that given the chance he could have become the top draw in the company.

After Big Dick left ECW he would spend time in many different organizations over the next couple of years including making his Puerto Rico return for Carlos Colon's WWC becoming a mainstay over the next few years wrestling the likes of a young Carly Colon, Abdullah the Butcher and the infamous Invader I. He had reasonable success in WWA becoming one of the bigger heels in the company but never capturing any titles possibly due to the fact that his tours tended to be reasonably frequent but brief. It was during his time in Puerto Rico that he worked in front of the biggest crowds of his career stating that some of his heel antics caused near riots during events.

In 1999 helped found the semi-popular XPW, known, like ECW, for its hardcore antics. At one point, Big Dick took home the XPW World Heavyweight Championship. He would go on to earn belts in the NWA Jersey faction and the USPW federation. But things soon began to go downhill for the senior member of the Dudleyz. In only two years, Big Dick was involved in four auto accidents, including a serious motorcycle crash that left him with a broken neck. This kept Big Dick on the sidelines of wrestling for over a year.

Personal life[link]

Outside of the ring, Rizzo was good friends with Buh Buh Ray Dudley and Nicole Bass. He also has one daughter, Alexandria, born in 1990 with Donna Adamo and one son, A.J. (Alex Jr.) born in 1997 with a different spouse.

Rizzo also had a reputation of being a legitimate "badass", as tough outside the ring as inside the ring. For example, in a shoot interview with the Dudley Boyz produced by RF Video, Bubba Ray Dudley claims to have seen him beat up five people on his own in a nightclub on Long Island. He was also known to have a "dead" hand, due to nerve damage from putting it through a plate glass window. As a result, he was unable to feel any pain in the hand.

On May 16, 2002, Rizzo was found dead in his apartment due to kidney failure.
