2010 Annie Awards: Battle for the Host!
Tom Kenny (the voice of Sponge Bob) and William Shatner (the voice of Ozzie in "Over the Hedge", and other film and TV stuff) battle to determine who will be the host of the 2010 Annie Awards, The International Animated Film Society/ASIAF Hollywood's annual award ceremony. The very basic Flip camera could not compensate for the brightness of the screen, unfortunately.

Annie Lennox Performs at the Skoll Awards for Social Entrepreneurship 2012
An electrifying performance by Annie Lennox at the awards ceremony of the Skoll World Forum. Annie performed an amazing 5 song solo set. She opened with Pavement Cracks, There Must Be An Angel Playing With My Heart, Here Comes The Rain Again and then Little Bird. Annie then returned to the stage and finished with an encore of Sweet Dreams. Annie's voice was incredibly powerful, and very rich, and as we've come to expect from Annie, she really had fun with the songs, especially her ad libbing in Sweet Dreams to make it specific to the spirit of the forum, and singing parts of Little Bird in Latin Style!

A Tribute to Roy E. Disney - 37th Annie Awards
The 37th Annie Awards (Animation Awards) pays tributes to the man who initiated the Disney Renaissance of the 80s and 90s. Pre-montage speech by Don Hahn: "Thank you, it's a pleasure to be here tonight. I'm here to pay tribute to one of the greats of animation that we lost last year. It's a gentleman who never drew a frame of film, never did a voice, never painted a background, never composed any music, but most of us here tonight are here because of the great work and patronage of Roy Disney. Roy started out as an assistant editor of the Dragnet series, for the three of you that remembered that. He went on to produce and direct a series of nature films for Disney and even though he had an extremely famous uncle and dad, he worked his way up. Worked his way up through the ranks as a filmmaker and it wasn't until 1984 until he really had a chance to affect the animation industry forever. That year, corporate raiders, Saul Steinberg and others, were circling Disney and they wanted to buy the company and break it up, sell it in its parts for profit. Roy stepped in and gathered a series of investors and white knights to bring in some amazing executives like Michael Eisner, Frank Wells, the great Jeffrey Katzenberg and the rest, as they say, is really history. Great animation history. They created a renaissance and from that point on, movies like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pixar films. One of the first checks that went to Pixar came from Roy Disney's patronage of the CAPS ...
